from the synopsis, its easy to assume that they would have a very hot-blooded, bickering, enemies-to-lovers relationship, however it is actually a very tentative and touching reconnection between them two.

yu sui, is coming back to the country after 2 years of playing for an e-sports team abroad. everyone and their mothers in the esports leauge knows that yu sui and shi luo left on bad terms... allegedly. :D

it took me a long time to get into this novel because i always tried when i was in a mood to read esports. thing is, you have to be in the mood to read ANGST. the first 30 chapters is a mix of narration of current time and flash backs (to when MC and ML were on the same team) so a whole lot of backstory before the actual gaming part.

if these words scared you off from reading this novel, don't be. i have A LOT of good comments i want to share about the MC, ML, teammates, plot, everything, but i'm holding my tounge bc it's kinda spoilery and i don't want to ruin the angst you'll experience :)

※ despite all my talking abt the MC and ML, it does a really good job of capturing all the elements of an e-sports team. very good novel, really well-written, and remember: HOLD ON FOR 30 CHAPTERS! TRUST ME! <<less

li cangyu (MC) had run off to compete in a different video game for a few years and this novel starts off with him going back to Miracle, the game where he made his legacy. 

everyone in the Miracle e-sports community was a mix of veterans saying "welcome back old friend (❁´◡`❁)" while the rookies are just like "who is this man and why do all of my idols know him??"

since this novel stars a lot of "older" esports players, there are bittersweet [this is my last chance!] moments in here, so don't get caught off guard :)

※ the author really went out of their way and created a whole new game just for this novel, so it may seem a lil overwhelming at first, but you get the gist of it pretty quickly ^^ <<less

jiang shaoyu (MC) is a cold, harsh, and sharp tounged retired garmer god who was hired to whip china's Gun King professional team into shape. he kills off any weakness from the root of the problem, and rebuilds the national team from the ground up!

the novel itself is very thorough and technical with the skills need to play the (made up first person shooter) game it features. i find it easy to follow along with (even in MTL) all the in-depth explanations are very fitting considering it follows the growth of a whole team of the nation's best FPS players.

i can already tell this will be one of my favorites :)

※ this novel is ongoing in RAWs!! expect it to be anywhere between 200-300 chapters :D <<less
