I have teared up in parts of the novel for good reason. From the way the family dynamics to comradeship being handled by the author, it was simply a refreshing experience. I enjoyed the passion of the main character. I enjoyed the contrast between how strong he was, and how fragile he was at the same time. This is an amazing novel which deserves the hype it has. Then again, this was one of my first korean novels, so I may be a bit biased, but I had a complete blast with this reading experience. Just try to fight through the harem aspect of the novel!  <<less

I would like to first preface the fact that I'm a total sucker for the martial arts tag, especially in a fantasy continent setting such at this. The story weaved in magic with martial arts into a background containing higher powers such as gods and weaves these entertaining ideas into a wonderful amalgamation that is this world's world building. Now moving on from the world building and into the characters, they feel real and fleshed out. The main character is a man who has lived a life that could only be defined as mediocre. That said, it is only reasonable that once the MC recieved a second chance at life, he would possess feelings of self doubt as he accomplishes extraordinary feats that could only be performed by a genius. I do remember seeing some comments about this novel on how frustration the main character's inferiority complex was, but I'm very glad I still gave the novel a chance. I see nothing wrong with the character's behaviour. It is a pure and raw form of self doubt that makes the main character human. Please do give this main character a chance. 

By the way, if there's nothing attractive about this novel to you, I have one last trump card. Miss Wijihoyeon. She's an absolute sweetheart. Read this book for this character's sake.  <<less

The main character is basically chucked in a fantasy world with the exact same setting as a web novel he had read for many years. The interesting part about it all is the fact that he's the sole reader of said web novel! The MC is a collected individual who effectively makes use of his resources and takes calculated risks to acquire results to his satisfaction. An amazing novel that touches on the interesting idea of higher level entities known as constellations which I am a big sucker for so there's also that. It's a great novel. Do give it a try.  <<less

He is someone that can read others effectively which is an incredibly useful trait when you consider the man has just been thrown in a scenario where monsters want to gobble you up. Although this does possess the harem tag which I'm not a big fan of, I enjoyed the novel too much as a whole to disregard it simply for that one tag. Do give it a go! <<less

Moving on from the romance, it's a fun plot. An established old master of a martial arts society (these are laymen terms I'm using) dies mysteriously and wakes up in a young body! However, there are mysterious occurances that appears to drag the MC from his new young and non troublesome life back to his old ways of life. The MC balances his new family, a budding relationship with a purdyyy lady, and the ultimate pursuit of the sword in his second chance.

The story begins with the MC chased down by his enemies only to be saved by his time traveling future descendent that chucks an almighty nano machine inside his ancestor and slays our MC's enemies! The MC then uses the nano machine to take him to the top of the demonic cult and the top of the martial arts world! It's a fun concept that meshes ancient martial arts with modern day technology. It's something new and a breath of fresh air. 

P.S. I also heard the manhwa is pretty good, but read the novel anyways. It sounds cooler than telling people you read cartoons! <<less

That said, the MC is someone that is a disciple of a surgeon in his mind? When he was in a coma? I don't really know how to explain it. (Probably why I'm not an english major) Either way, after his coma which was basically enlightenment to a certain degree, our MC goes from a really good student to a really really REALLY good student that goes to become a great doctor! Plus he has a pretty cool personality too.

It's about an author thrown into his own failed novel as the powerless son of the powerful demon king! It's a shame said demon king died in like the first minute. As a demon prince without a powerful backing no longer, our MC has to pretend to be a human and integrate into human society. The setting of a story takes place in an academy and there's nobility, merchants, all that european esque vibes from way back in the day. Fun read and the harem tag is not obnoxious like some CN novels. Do not worry! <<less
