The story begins with the far distant future where the world has been ruined by the evil antagonist, the BLACK HEAVEN! (totally not the MC by the way) There remained one last member of humanity who managed the slay the Heavenly Demon, the possesor of the Black Heaven. However, it was a pyrric victory. Is that how you spell it? Either way, Mr. last remaining member of humanity gets an opportunity to go back in time to fix all his mistakes. To change the outcome of the end! Sadly long story short, he bit off more than he could chew and died to our MC within like the first 3 seconds of his regression and the story begins with our MC reaping all the benefits that were meant to belong to the regressor!

Since I don't want to spoil the backstory or anything I'll give a quick example. Imagine a group of scientists were in the pursuit of making hair growth medicine. They began their research in 1980 and finally released a cure in 2020, using up a total of 40 years. Our MC would be the equivalent of some young startup company beginning thie research in 2000s and releasing a cure in 2020 as well. Goodness I went on a really long tangent for such a minute detail.
