As a fellow reader that is indeed very unfortunate and frustratingMy suggestion is to create a reading list and use it as your "tab" in nu. https://www.novelupdates.info/reading-list/Unlike rec list, it is limitless and it is easy to see which tab/folder you've put the opened novels.
