I’m not too sure about Wei Xi. I think this is a compromise at best? Because let me tell you, I have read countless of CEO romances and compared to most of the male leads? He’s a freaking saint! He is mentally unstable, I’ll give you that. But the difference is that he actually tried when it came to Ling Zhen. He made mistakes, she reinforced boundaries and let him see where he was wrong. And boy did he try- countless of times at that. Plus, his nature remained the same. He didn’t automatically become good or bright because of her, he was still bad- the thing is she is his goodness. It was written... more>> many times throughout the entire novel. Without her he will collapse. So can he really be considered a green flag, is he even supposed to be on this list? We do have Sang Yan, Duan Jiaxu, Xiang Changkong, and the others here. So I’m pretty sure the answer is a soft *no*. But, is he a green flag among all the other red flags that are his other novel counterparts? Yes, he is.

I read this back in High School and I can say I never truly got over this book. There are not much Historical romance novels set in the Philippines so you can imagine how different this novel was from the usual make-up of popular Filipino webnovels. Juanito Alfonso IS the standard. I love him so much. If you are Filipino(and if you are I doubt you haven't heard of this ground breaking novel), or if you're able to understand Tagalog, read it. I swear, you won't regret it. I still wish I can forget the story so I can read it again. I still wonder up until this day why it has never been adapted to a drama or movie. I also love that though this book has common tropes, there are only a handful of brainless characters and some are honestly pitiful because of their environment, how they are raised, and who raised them. With stories like these, I guess one never realizes just how big of an impact a small change can make. One tweaking in this grand scheme of things that can alter an entire person, or the entire story. But hey, it's a happy ending. He's a good husband, and had there been extra chapters to show it, a good father as well. <<less

Huo Yan may have been sisterless her entire life,  but she was never without a family. And that was Fu Shihan.
