It’s good, better than I expected. I went in thinking it would be a silly, unserious comedy short story. I got what I came for- It’s 40% fluff, 40% comedy and 20% feelings.

MC, a doctor, got bitten and was turned into a zombie because he was ‘protecting’ ML, who was his patient. It’s far from a lighthearted start but the comedy made it work. Then there is the ‘I’m only protecting my food’ shtick, fluffy and funny slice of life so it doesn’t get too boring.

But then halfway through, the 20% feelings punched me in the gut. The highs made the lows HURT.

Overall, I certainly recommend this if you’re looking for a quick read that’s worth your time. The only negative things that I can think of are that one, MC’s zombifying progress and symptoms are inconsistent, two, the plot towards the end got a bit draggy-dramatic and three, that the story ended slightly abruptly. It has very strong start with quirky and charming characters. Do give it a shot!
