want some good bl novels after a sh*t day? right here pls~

BLs I read that exhibits good communication, fluffiness, good plot and more.

(tbh now most novels i read and put it in here don't exihibit the communication and good relationship skills, but oh well, this list is turning more into a list about every bl i read and liked... so i will put notes on each novel whether they have good communication or not:)

A whole package. BL novels that I read before and will still reread because I can't get enough of it. P.S. I need something to bookmark my novels.

Disclaimer: Some does have a little yandere, or possessive characteritics (Which I hate a lot), but I could read past it because the relationship and story was too good.

this is such a good novel that potrays a poignant and mature relationship between two adults who have already tasted much of the world. they were certainly love dovey before the officially got together. it is def a bit of a slow burn in terms of them getting together, but i personally didn't feel that much because dong's pursuit of yan and him doing everything to get yan kind of made it up for me. the way the yan wasn't dense and could see dong's efforts was just so refreshing to me. the whole blind and the technical terminolgy of eye doctors and surgeries was so well researched and written on the author's part. dong's brother was so adorable and chi cheng was also so cute and dependable. i heard that they are a pairing and have a separate novel, though im not quite keen on the adopted brother relationship, im not really gonna comment on that cause i won't be reading their novel. also glad the author didn't focus on them in this novel.

of course there are conflicts and fights between the couple, but they do communicate and do they best to resolve them. maybe not explicit communication like actual dialogue that reads it out for the readers but in their actions and words, they resolve it. i did get the feeling sometimes that readers were not reading the novel from an omniscient pov, but somewhat of an veiled pov if that makes sense. cause not everything was spelled out and revealed to the reader naked and bare, but the novel also made the readers part of the world and left them guessing what was happening and such (especially in the last few chapters about how we didn't know what was happening with dong).

the trust and devotion between the couple was endearing and refreshing to read. the angst chapters does highlight dong's personality of being brazen and bottling your feelings which led to the conflict. i did quite like how the author wrote his breakdown and how yan helped him through it and later helped him so much that dong was able to get out of the depression. those chapters literally made me cry bruh.

i also liked how the author subtly wrote about the emotional stress that ml had to seeing mc being hurt and so vulnerable, it kind of really let me into the perspective of how much toll it takes on someone caring for the ill. the mc also noticed it, but he decided to be with the ml despite and the ml also talked him through it, so now they are in this together. the whole angst and him not telling yan about his illness could maybe come off as frustrating, but i do believe i can understand that. dong loves him so much that he was not able to make yan go through something for the rest of his life like he went through as a person who cared for his blind brother. as a close loved one, it takes so much strength to not get worn out taking care of someone. since mc was in that position almost his whole life, he didn't want ml to go through the same. so, i really understood his decisions and how it was eating away at him. the whole incident of him breaking down and not being able to withstand the harsh words that he made the ml say to him was so well done, i legit cried through it. (he wanted to break up because he didn't want the ml to go through hardships cause of him) dw, its a happy ending lol.

overall such a fantastic novel that has a very mature and realistic relationship where two worn down people navigate their relationship and their lives together:) <<less
