It’s a dark story with a dark MC. The tragedy tag is not for show. The MC is a complex and twisted character that you will sympathize with and despise at the same time. The arcs are well-paced and well-written, not too long or too short, but just right with a overarching mystery that will keep you interested until the end. This web novel is a “Popcorn Read” that will make you addicted and stay up all night. It’s a fun and thrilling horror story that earns a ★★★★ rating for its gripping plot and characters. It hooks you in with a strong beginning, but loses some of its momentum in the later chapters. It’s still an engaging read, but it could have been better with less repetition of “red bla bla red bla bla red red” and more focus on the main plot.... more>>

The book introduces too many side characters that don’t get enough development or closure, especially in the ending. The main character also spends too little time in the horror house. Some subplots drag on for too long and make the reader lose interest, while others are rushed and unsatisfying. The ending is disappointing and abrupt, leaving many questions unanswered and many threads unresolved. 

However, despite these flaws, this is a proper horror read with a fun idea and interesting twists. 

Sadly, the author’s second work, My Iyashikei Game, is not as good. It feels like the author tried to copy the style of MHOH later part, but ended up like a lower quality fan fiction work. <<less

The protagonist, a typical Korean/Japanese MC, is bored and dense with little ambition. However, the plot drives him forward despite his lack of motivation. Despite being older than his high school peers, he is not more mature and often feels childish.

All female characters (FLs) show interest in him and fit common archetypes: the shy girl, the bookworm, the tough exterior with a soft interior, the sexy teacher. The male side characters are portrayed as unappealing, both in personality and appearance, eliminating any competition for the FLs' attention. This is reflected even in the novel cover, where they are relegated to the background. <<less

Not as great as author's "My House of Horrors", but fine enough read.
