Edit: Woa, I never expected that many users to like obsessive MLs, feels great to see those with the same 'guilty pleasures' as mine (I don't feel guilty though, not because my taste is good but because I lack shame). We're out here bonding over unhinged guys lmao. Also, what's your ideal obsessive ML? I'm quite curious, so feel free to comment it below.
Personally, I prefer MLs who are usually ruthless and somewhat cruel to everyone but the MC, whom they treat with utmost love, care and respect, of course they're still 'toxic' in a way they wouldn't leave the MC alone or ever separate from him, but to make him stay, they'd rather pamper him to the hell and back than use torture or ab*se. A big plus if they're paired with sly and morally grey MCs.

My favorite type of yandere...has to be the ones that have just enough sanity to know that hurting people (or animals) the mc cares about would hurt the mc, and they aren't willing to go quite that far. Also the doting type.
@Undying Winter For the type of yandere I like, I definitely believe they are. DTSB and BATOHMB are both world hopping ones in addition, but they are strictly one couple that's traveling through the worlds, so no worries there!
