The poster child for this genre. Definitely a recommended read, even if only to know how this set a trend for the rebirth genre back then. After living a miserable life MC gets reborn and hardened by her experience is now scheming and quite ruthless. Minus 0.5 points as I found the romance a bit bland.

Even less schemes but more romance and a bit more in*esty considering he's her stepbrother. Basically just MCs pampered life as ML beloved sister then wife who doesn't have to care about public opinion as everyone fears her brother. PS this actually has an interesting reason behind her transmigration and don't worry it's not a mystery, it literally gets explained in the first chapter.

Cold, aloof MC x outwardly domineering but actually insecure and cutesy ML. The dynamic between them is actually quite interesting & the romance is quite nice as well. Besides this is probably the only novel I have read in which ML is an actual eunuch.

This is a quick transmigration novel but considering it's theme of MC being a vicious ex who has knowledge of future circumstances- quite as if she's reborn- in most arcs. Overall a satisfying read.

This one is a bit peculiar as even though ML is a prince and the plot does partially revolve about the succession, there aren't really schemes the MC has to face. Instead they mostly just live in their own little world while trying to survive the emperor's political machinations. The characters are both quite straightforward, which makes them unique in a world of backhanded insults. Especially liked the ML here since while following the usually hollow trope of the 'villainous prince with a bad rep' he feels like he has real character and depth to him(and he actually behaves his age).

Another classic rebirth with schemes and court drama by the same author as malicious empress.
In fact it's quite reminiscent of malicious empress, but the author made the characters quite distinct from malicious empress as mc is a very smart and nice character while shen miao was more of an ambitious slow learner(the perfect elegant backyard woman so to speak). While the revenge plot does take a while to build up it was very satisfying to read once MC does take action.
