Reborn into a completely different lifestyle, mc uses his privilege to advance in Hollywood. The use of real life stars and references make it an enjoyable read. But, the writing is pretty average (comp/better translations may change my mind). His previous life doesn’t seem to have too much affect on him, it’s barely mentioned. The romance appears later on and is integrated well in the story, though personally I wasn’t too keen on the pairing.

Very ruthless and flexible mc, who takes any situation in stride. The story loses some momentum in the middle but gains it back with one of my favourite arcs in a novel (hint: world tree). World building is great and harmonises with the plot progression.

I’m not a fan of harems, which this novel technically is. But, it was easy to overlook considering the mc’s nature and (lack of)feelings.

Edit: finished re-reading and the female characters are pretty poorly written, it does get slightly better later on though. Also, in general the build-ups of each arc can be tedious but the climax is worth it most of the time. It was getting hard to read ch800-1100 and I ended up skimming on the re-read. One of the best arcs has to be the twilight zone with how everything tied together.  <<less

World building and pacing is good. But, like with many other novels of this genre, many side characters are forgotten as the mc moves up. Also, fl is pretty unlikeable and it’s a wonder how they come to love each other. While she serves as a great motivation to mc for a vast majority of the novel (WHY?), it also greatly stifled my will to finish the novel. The only part of the romance I liked was that it wasn’t a harem. Ending is hit or miss aswell. <<less

It’s lacking a lot, but it is a fun read to pass the time. Reading the webtoon is a much better experience even if it is the same story due to the fantastic art. So while I don’t highly recommend the novel, the webtoon will be much more enjoyable. <<less
