I assume most people already know this novel since it's so popular but basically the MC gets reincarnated as a sub villain in a novel he read and he wishes to live a lazy life but doesn't. That's the basics.

I read this novel mostly for the reincarnation into a novel aspect at first but gradually stayed for the characters. I love the angst and I love how no matter what Cale does to get a lazy life, we all know he won't. Rip.

I haven't fully finished the novel yet since I read the manhwa and I'm on Season 2, since the manhwa is on break, and I'm too impatient to wait, I'm reading the manhwa to cure my hunger. <<less

I love the comedic scenes and the part where he started collecting the other s-class at the start was funny to me. Especially when the MC had Hope, it makes me chuckle whenever Hope gets rowdy with the other pets because it contrasts his name with the chaos behind him.

For the MC, he's an F-class that the S-classes always try to protect but gets himself into trouble like getting kidnapped but the MC gets himself out of there alongside with the perks of the system.

Currently, I'm in the chapter where he threatens this dragon god (?) To give back his brothers og body because the MC had been terrified of his brother's future. I'm not going to specify but if you've read it, you'll know what I'm talking about, maybe. <<less

There's a manhwa out and I adore the art style. I feel like there's just some things better said in the novel because it was written purely for this art form but if course reading the manhwa is always fun to see Kim Dokja and the other characters come to life.

Anyways, I adore Kim Dokja's self sacrificing A55 and will definitely finish it!

Ch - 74-80: Really liked this new personality troupe in seeing. He's a tired, overworked office worker whose boss's daughter is making him work overtime to make stuff for her fav idol group. (Not the best description, sorry TT) Kim Iwol reminds me of Cale where he is a key player but thinks he isn't which can get angsty sometimes because he plans every single thing in preparation for when he leaves the group :(

Right now, Kim Iwol and Spark debuted and performed on stage with their song that was made by Cheonghyeon (?) the bubbly guy.

Characters are Kiyeon the edgy maknae, Kim Iwol our MC, Seongbin their concerned smart face genius second maknae leader, Jeho is the awkward introvert baby bird, Cheonghyeon produces music and is really crafty with props, Jiwoo (he's very hard to pinpoint rn) but he gets angsty as well and he's kinda cold hearted if I remember correctly.

Edit: Ch 93 - Iwol had a nose bleed last chapter and finally gave Seongbin and Jiwoo about his insecurities (not being on par with the member) and overcompensating by working 3x than the members. Iwol has kind of reconciled with Seongbin and got another call from that one pd (the one who got removed from managing Spark's concept) cuz Iwol intervened.

Edit: Ch 125 - Iwol gets into a scandal/controversy where he's accused by an anon that he had a lot of privilege like skipping a school trip, and is accused that he's using his hyung status to control his members TT also goes into a survival show. As of now, it's where it just got resolved and Iwol is working with soem Berion members for the second/third stage of the survival show. <<less

He got reincarnated as Hwashin who vomits blood cuz his current body cannot take his previous soul's powerful soul lol, his lil brother figure Jeum, Ha Cheongwon who is an assistant (not really just summarising what I remember) who has the sick sister, Cha Jaeha is the Yoo Joonghyuk of this fic who's very righteous and scary, Yoo Jian's the macho edgy cool older sister. Uhh rn there's currently Hwashin is debating whether to save Cheongwon's sister so he awakens but aaa idk yet

Edit #2: Ch - 58: Hwashin helped awaken Cheongwon so he's an s-class now. Officially met the illusionist, Jin and his brother Theo. Got officially introduced to Freak, the rebel group. Carlyn is a mystophobe which I can relate to and it was kinda funny cuz he's an orphan. I wasn't sure how he'd explain it. But it seems that if the conditions are worse, the negative traits become dormant or become 'extinct' if the conditions are right.

He's being trained to be a child assassin, met two kids as talented as he is, trained and whatnot. He's a genius (thanks to his good traits where he has death defiance, Devil's blood which makes it easier for him to feel and control magic, his wind magic which is pretty rare in their universe) Because of his Worse Condition trait, usually he's half of his potential, but there's that one day where it's doubled lol

Edit #2: Now around Ch 166. MC is collecting reliable, talented and loyal characters for his secret society like they're Pokémon. Now Denif (his brother in name) has a mystic (sand) and both are trying to improve their swordsmanship. Current characters is Rina the Thief, Namir the guy who got his heart broken and the youngest talented guy who uses a curved sword, Jofor the guy who used to use a sword but is a genius in using the spear, Aron the guy from the pit and his sister Mary the bookworm genius. Finally our Osten the first guy, the mage inventor. I think there was a dwarf they picked up along the way but he hasn't go screen time yet (he/she/they?) <<less

Pacing is a little fast and he got into his seeker role in literally 2 chapters and literally one scene. I don't understand how he could get so close to the protag so quick but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt since I'm only at the beginning. <<less

Ch - 25 ish: Interesting concept but there's a little too much romance for me. Though according to the tl that the romance doesn't get much prominent in terms of 'plot'. It's more like the romance is based on the favourability system which is annoying. Multiple female characters are underaged (ie. Anais and Ella who are 15-17 respectively while the ml is 27 in game and probably in his 30s out of the game)... more>>

It's basically about Frank Wonderstain who is a well known 'black magician' who has the curse 'smiling man' ('why so serious' syndrome basically) who seems to be able to use necromancy and morphing (both on himself and other people in terms of their limbs so he makes a lot of people who need his help or irritate him into monsters).

Edit: Ch - 60 : Correction, Anais is actually in her early 20s not a teen, she was sick as a teen. Anyways, I really really hate the romance subplot. I really like the plot and the mc but every single interaction with the characters contain the girls blushing and getting jealous over the other girl. It's not the romance itself that actually makes me hate the subplot, it's just the way the characters are written to interact over the mc :( when they're alone or have their own scene the girls are amazing characters but why does every female character have to have an interest with mc help. My kind of last straw was when Ella (a teen, 17) had romantic thoughts of the mc like Frank is a demon who killed her friends and family plus threatens her here and there if she rebels too much, why? this is not the character I liked. I was hoping at least the two would have a paternal relationship (i like found family troupes and hate minor x adult).I'm reading hoping for the mc and hoping that his relationship with Anais gets better (she's one of the only main characters I would like mc to end up with if ever). Despite me saying the romance is a subplot, it takes over most character interactions so it's really unfortunate. Anyways, I'm really interested in the actual backstory for Frank because what is the real reason behind his powers and his smile? Is the 'smiling man' actually a curse for the real Frank? All those questions haha

But so far, I like the mc himself, his curse is interesting. Hoping that the author stops the romance subplot.
