Scale:
1-2— bad, like seriously (just no)
3-4 below average or average with some bad qualities (probably don’t recommend )
5-6- average ( doesn’t mean they’re bad tho!)

7-8 above average for this site (highly recommend)

9-10 just read it (best novels that I have read on the site, (take it with a pinch of salt))

I'm on 320th chapter of Black Irons glory.

And honestly from what I've read it only bashed western culture one time and that too wasn't from the Protagonist perspective. It was his boss who bashed western culture, who is quite clearly depicted as a ultra nationalist. And in the same chapter the protagonist said that his current life did nothing to discredit the westerners culture but did prove his own beliefs which were beastly people like those depicted Chinese novels did exist, referring to his current life's elder brother.

Infact sometimes I feel like the author is indirectly and in  a subtle way criticising the Chinese govt. Although I can't be sure because if he was too obvious about it his novel would be cancelled like his older one.

Well I don't like jp novels(even though I read acell world, sword art online, and so on popular titles) because I can't see changes in mc, so I would rather read Mary Sue novel where mc at least becomes op gradually (f*ck emperor domination!!! ). So I really can't deside if I can enjoy recommended novels. So my taste is rather "warlock of magus world" than "meet you in dangeon or something "

PS Second coming of gluttony is really goodclear.png

True, I can totally see where you are coming from. Gradually op protagonists are the best! The beginning of SCOG is fantastic in that regard. But the protagonist has to struggle to get to become op. I try to recommend novels that at least try to do that. I have been struggling to get a good cn novel (not including lotm) any recommendations?clear.png

@Swissed How about Reverend Insanity? (I think you've read it.) I think Throne of Magical Arcana (written by author of LoTM) may be enough for you?
