Already, in my heart I think if it keeps up the pace and quality it has shown so far, it is already higher than the little mushroom in my heart as much as I loved that novel-- though I'm bold enough to admit it's because it caters to me more heavily. The last time I felt so alive reading a webnovel was when I was reading ORV for the first time. I cannot praise this more, I think it's shaping up to be one of my favorite WEBNOVELS of all time and not just favorite BL. Even if I were to cut out the romance I think I'd fall in love with this webnovel.

Some of the qualities I found that it already has above others:

-Being able to balance a really interesting plot with romance

-WORLDBUILDING. I LOVE WORLDBUILDING

-It's not tagged, but seriously, the author is really skilled at writing almost thriller-like action scenes! It actually gets pretty tense!!

-It doesn't fall into the pitfall of being too much-- it still pulls back after tense and stressful scenes with comedic or less somber moments to balance out the reading experience so you don't feel exhausted or dull when reading it

-It plays with a lot of difficult to pull off concepts and yet they all still feel organic and fresh.-the romance is so so so compelling and I've never supported a main couple more <<less

I really appreciate how three-dimensional the two main characters are so far in this one. I'm following both the web novel and web comic. It's a bit difficult to read the novel (and I couldn't figure out how to buy raws to try translating myself), but the characters are a selling point here. A common problem with morally grey/dark protagonists is that the author might hesitate to actually let the protagonist be as such and try to redeem them. That being said, this novel most definitely does not do that. I think it's a very subjective opinion on my end for not liking the latter half of the novel, as I felt like it was less well written than the initial parts of the story where you follow the protagonists plans that have actual foundation and logic to follow. While in theory it follows throughout, it feels like something falls apart as time goes on. While it's nothing immersion breaking it's ehh... Also on the subjective end, I'm not too sure how i feel about the more explicit end of the novel narratively. But eh, you get what you look for in a way? I just don't think they incorporated some aspects particularly well/play it up.  <<less

I really enjoy the set up that has been gradually been shown throughout the story and the mc trying to figure out the ML without actually knowing everything about  himself, much less the truth of the story. I'm bold enough to admit it's probably only higher on the list because I like that it's a nobility/aristocratic setting erring to the more serious end. It might be pushed down below if/when i re-read the other novels on the list, but so far I'm pretty interested!I do think there is quite a bit of weaknesses in the characterizations and a sense of aimlessness despite the supposedly important overarching threat, but it's also part of the setting of the mc... i suppose. <<less
