so. i decided to drop this novel despite i really like the premise etcetera and been wanting to read it for a long long time. the reason was, when i read the summary i expect i would read some serious s*xual or just tension between sha qing the serial killer and leo, the fbi agent. BUT sha qing disguise himself as this character named li biqing. who is li biqing? he was introduced as leo's older sister (molly)'s new boyfriend (and they plan on getting married so biqing is basically leo's future brother-in-law). the thing is... li biqing's character is really not my cup of tea. he's that type of cute, soft, sunshine, innocent, and all that similar characteristic type which i... really don't fancy. when they have their own moment and sparks gradually formed i couldn't feel it and the so-called tension is not really there. it also because of he's leo's future brother-in-law and reading them having those dog foods is kinda weird personally... 

but i really like the serial killer sha qing's personality. he first appeared and interact with leo on that chess game arc and reading his interaction with leo was hella fun. i LOVE their banter and interactions. even if they only interact briefly, like maybe 3/4 chapters? i can feel the tension and it was really really nice. i was really excited reading those parts. and then after that it's gone. it's li biqing again and i got bored and tired with this persona that i feel nothing when they interact.  <<less
