First ‘book’ of 3. Over 1000+ chapters. Currently reading as of writing. Oh lord above this novels world building is the most intricate creature I think you’ll find in a decade or even more. I hear people say it’s boring at the beginning which I agree with but around chapter 50 or so it really hits hard with how absolutely insane this novel can be. This novel is the type where every little details matters much like a detective novel, much more is happening in the 1st arc than you might expect. I find that beginning with the second arc, I greatly miss how boring the first arc was ( I can’t explain any further... more>> because any passive wobble of my mouth will spew spoilers in this case). My impression of this world’s magic is very realistic and structured, IT IS NOT AT ALL kid friendly, I can’t explain enough how disgusting this world can be and how utterly jaw dropping it is. THIS IS NOT A CASUAL READ ITS AN INVESTMENT I SWEAR, it’s literally the one piece of web novels, so long yet so good. If you have read or are committed to reading it let’s collectively curse cuttlefish for all our second hand suffering we’ve been put through. 

ADVICE FOR ANY INTERESTED IN READING: Try not expect everything will kick off all at once, this novel is slow and steady. Read a couple chapters everyday and don’t let your expectations get ahead of you, once you get ‘there’ you’ll know it I can tell you that. Also an anime/donghua is coming out in 2025 if you wish to wait for something that’ll keep you more engaged (I’ve heard good reviews from those that have watched the viewing).

 MOST IMPORTANTLY do not engage with any sort of fan media unless you’re the type that’s ok with spoilers, this novel is long, lots can be spoiled if you look for fandom too early. Admittedly I did look for fandom too early and got spoiled but found that I couldn’t understand a word anyway so it’s ultimately up to you but still it may break the experience if you browse for too long.

(Me who’s now completed the novel): Absolutely sobbing. I’ve already begun rereading it and it’s a whole new experience knowing what will happen and recognising all the little signs. I did not realise how much of an emotional attachment I had formed with all the characters before I finished. <<less

The most normal person friendly omegaverse I’ve found and read, no excessive pairings or lusting because of ‘oh they’re a omega and alpha in heat’, just pure love and adoration for one another before anything else. I cannot explain enough how refreshing it is. The omegaverse is a new concept to this world along with awakeners, so generic tropes you typically find aren’t very prevalent, when things do come up they are handled well and less like a senseless plot device.

The world has mages, sword masters, awakeners among other things that are hinted at throughout. This isn’t a spoiler as it’s mentioned in the first chapters, the main plot is how the world is nearing destruction and a new era of ‘awakeners’, I can’t explain more just read it :’))

Yuder our MC is just too much for me to be able to ramble about I love him sm. Kishiar our ML, can be a bit iffy if you start reading blind but you soon find out many things that later makes you bash yourself for ever even hating him (he’s an absolute green forest, a green mountainous region dare I say). Yuder our MC is a bit dull in the relationship department but he makes sure he never stays only on the receiving end, he has some great character growth, even overall.

The cavalry is such a place to be, Yuder trains them well…maybe too well…( Calvary spirit! echoing in my head…)

TLDR: Overall this novel is great to read if you like plot driven stories with a good amount of healthy relationships (platonic and romantic) spread evenly. Things are very well paced, the 700+ chapters aren’t excessive. <<less

I’ll politely say I enjoyed it but it stressed me out bc the crown prince was so OP. MC never was able to fight back, literally stressful. Novel didn’t give me a massive impression but I can see why people like it (I would’ve binged it to completion if I could find more chapters even if they were mtl).
