3.5. Chapter 134. On-hold. Every time the soldier MC Encred dies, he repeats the day - infintely - until he can surpass the wall in front of him. Great action/battle novel (prob 90% fighting scenes), but gets repetitive after 120ish chapters after he surpasses his original limits and is able to fight with his squad members. He's just so far away from being a knight that I'm tired of reading.

I really like the MC's mentality towards talent and time - he may have been envious towards' other geniuses, but he continues to swing his sword diligently every single day, even for a quarter of a step forward; while he can technically eternally regress to make the 'perfect today', he never takes his own life, accepts the imperfect todays in which he is alive, and always tries his best to fight everyday for a new tomorrow. Tomorrow is always better than today, and if not, he would have been long stuck in the eternal time loop in creating a perfect today. Very motivating to read about his hard work finally paying off.
The one thing I find lacking is the world building and side character developments. I can't find myself immersed in the novel's world itself to keep reading (the main background is simply the battlefield and the soldiers around), nor interested in the characters enough (even the eccentric troublemaker squad members such as Rem, Ramday, Saxony, Kreis, Audin, Esther etc) as they aren't really fleshed out much. Although the faceless boatman is interesting for sure. I do also think the time loop could have more downsides and things at stake, as it doesn't really mentally affect Encred in any way, but ah well.
