i had so much fun reading this novel! i knew the novel is a parody of other cliche s*um top x innocent bottom, chasing wife trope but damn!! i didn't expect to laugh as hard as i did. there were a lot of memorable quotes that i simply can't choose my favorite! but here's one of them:

"Actually, it was not only the splendid vision on the bed that stunned him, but also what Xiao Han was doing — he was pulling down something white on Zhuo Fan’s head.

This white thing looked like a pair of underwear.

This person was trying to pull Zhuo Fan’s underwear over Zhuo Fan’s head!" legit made me choke on my drink

only thing that kinda made the experience a bit....weird... is that s*xual assault seems like main plot points in the created 'scenario'. don't get me wrong, im aware that most tr*sh top novels have this element in their novel and this novel is a parody of those books, but yeah it made me a bit uncomfy tbh. if you're not comfortable with those either (think there's only two of these scenes, apart from the normal smut), you can just skip these scenes and you would still have fun reading!

my other thing is that i really would love if the ML and the MC can switch. but that just my opinion. also, the ending is a bit sad tho but still. the guy is deranged. 

i give this novel a rating of 8.5 out of 10! would love to read a longer version of this book! <<less

let's start with the good thing first. the plot flows very nicely and logical. The ML reacted appropriately to situations ykyk. he's not perfect in the beginning but as most novels go, his quality and personality grow and he became stronger and smarter and better. he's better. and the interactions between MC and his systems friends are very genuine. they interacted like friends and had fun together and helped each other. very nice

now let's get to my main points. at one point, i dont even know if im reading a BL novel or a bro-con novel because what the hell. this novel have 157 chapters (including the extras) but for the life of me, i CANNOT immerse myself in the BL-ness because the freaking MC spent 70+ chapters as a FREAKING 3 YEARS OLD!!! he even acted childish while in his child form (i kinda get it, he gotta hide his self from others) but MY GOD I CANNOT!!! EVEN AFTER HE 'GROW UP' HE STILL KEPT HIS CHILDISH AND INNOCENT PERSONALITY! IT'S NO DIFFERENT THAN HIS SELF WHEN HE WAS 3 YEARS OLD!!! in another situation perhaps if he didn't start as a 3 years old, then maybe i'll overlook this weirdness but i can't. the couple spent 70+ chapters as brothers (3 years old and 18 years old) that i cannot assimilate his new look after he grew up. 

but tbf, even if he didn't start as 3 years old, i probably wouldn't be too much into this novel because i don't like childish, innocent MC. i don't mind them but if they act like a child all the time, then nah vro. 

other thing is i started this novel because i thought the face slapping is going to be one of the main plot of this novel. but nope. so yeah

i'm not gonna rate this novel at all because 1. im bias. if i rate it then for sure it's be way less than other novels in my list. 2. i didn't finish it. i know i have rated few novels that i didn't finish before but those novels, i already got to the main plot and the i would know i'd give it a high rating if i finish it. not this one. i cant im sorry yall <<less

phew i binged this novel in two days. phew phew phew... more>>

let's start with the overall plot. bro got wronged in his past live. he died a very miserable death and got a second chance in his new life. he used it to get revenge and avenged his wrongful death. very satisfying. 

the face slapping factors was phew!!! this has more drama than those 7pm tv series that i used to watch with my grandma. like damn!!! i couldn't put this book down because i need those fkers to get their karma. it was augh!! 

i guess to make the face slapping more satisfying, i cant help but notice that the villains are all brain dead! they didn't use logical reasonings at all and anything cant get through their thick skulls. it's like they were bewitched by the female 'protag' (wink wonk). i swear i can feel my blood pressure rise because the whole situation was so dumb! but goddamn if it wasn't satisfying...

the interaction between MC and ML was nothing special. nothing you haven't read from other rebirth trope. they do like eating tho. like literally lol.

i read this novel not because of the romance. i read this novel because of the face slapping factors and oh boy, they delivered. this is better than watching those soap operas. lol

i rate this novel 8 out of 10. the romance was eh but the face slaps? phew  <<less
