S4 MC. It's a QT but the system is barely there. It just quips in occasionally to banter w MC and maybe as comedic relief. But the MC really integrates himself in the worlds that most of the time it doesn't feel artificial at all. The plot and the drama woooh I can't. The worlds are a gamble of different angsts. Wuah the heart ache is reaaaal. The REGRET of the ML!!! Haaah woooh it hurts good. I cried on most of the worlds Idk it just hits that way ig, straight at my eyes I mean. Urgh but it's so disappointing that the MC leaving the world by dying plot point was never explored at the end of the worlds. It even wasn't hinted anymore after the first few worlds -_-". I want to see the ML collapse and break down when MC leaves but eh ig that already happens in the middle of the next few worlds.

*MAJOR SPOILERS*

W1 - Step brothers, MC's dad married ML's mother. MC has red plum branches tattoo on back, ML saw it n was curious. ML blackmails MC w his tattoo secret. They snu snu. Their relationship became complicated. Turns out MC's tattoo was forced by his birth mother when he was very young turning it into trauma. ML heartache when he found out. Much drama.

W2 - Non blood related brothers, ML was adopted into MC's family but was basically the s*ave of the family. ML took revenge on MC family, MC on the streets can't take it anymore beg ML to take him back home. MC back home but become like s*ave. Etc etc, relationship complicated. ML always wanted to have a family feeling try be close w his estranged twin younger siblings not realizing that he already experienced such family feels w MC but it was too late then so regret.

W3 - MC therapist for men problem ML arrogant celebrity w male problem. Complicated relationship. Etc etc. Chp85 World3part28 - Wooooh the S4E!!! MC was held hostage at knife point by a seaside cliff n ML rushes there. MC grabbed the guy, gets stabbed, n jumped off cliff w the guy who mu*dered ML's family while ML watches. The dramaaaa aaaa-

W4 - Arrogant grumpy skin starved cute tabby cat district leader Master MC x black and white octopus s*ave ML w hidden agenda of achieving equal rights for sea species/aliens. Cuuuute n the ML regret was also greatttt.

W5 - Amnesiac Wronged Shizun MC x Blackened Disciple who didn’t know he has something of MC's thus why og shizun tortured ML. Wooooh the drama like sbcshkav wild af. Mutual torture. THE ML REGRET THO umph so gut. MC destroyed his heart after everything was revealed cuz he tired af and all the grudges was paid or somthin. ML despairs so gut but managed to save MC. Then the chasing.

W6 - Evil looking seductive boss MC w strange faces fetish x MC's adopted daughter's fiance/half brother vengeful ML w burn scars on side of face and body. The scheme was unfolded pretty fast, more of the ML chasing. Is gut.

[Completed 150chp + 5extras] For the missions he acts as an S4 MC but deep inside he is S4 MC. Blood vomiting ✓. It sooo good. omg the S4Es asdfkjka. The MC is really good at what he's doing lawrd he orchestrates such wonderful S4Es look at those regrets from everyone around him aaaaa it's sooo gooood. Dog blood angsty plot super exaggerated but makes for some bombastic S4Es!!! <(ღ˘⌣˘ღ)> I cried rivers on the first arc TwT ah gorgeous. MC is such a cruel heartless bastard. It hurts so good. There's even a lovely heart wrenching epilogue of what happens after MC dies in each arc hrargh my drool is making the floor slippery. Arc2 wasn't as sad as the previous one, it has a tastier epilogue though, my eyes only burned a little and a few tears slipped out, hmn or it could be that I already exhausted my tear ducts from the last arc. Wow this is intense. It's really a watch him hit you then watch him hit himself harder for hitting you situation. My tears kept pouring out and I feel dehydrated af so I had to chug water while crying as I read. Oh it's so good. Each world repeats the same formula but it's still so damn good. I suggest giving yourself a break after you finish reading a world otherwise you might end up like me and run out of tears. Wow the ML's anguish in these worlds really stokes the fire that fuels the furnace of guilty pleasure deep in me. One of them in particular really took it too far and deserve that thousands of years of anguish geez how delicious. The system was also a lovable little cutie that's quite helpful to the MC. I think this might be the first QT that I used the GOAT stamp on. There were some real good S4E QTs out there that came close but this one hooo boy each arc never misses! Even the ending was satisfying. The extras helped brought me down gently from that amazing marathon of S4Es but then the last reader suggestion extra, bless the author for doing it, left me staring at the window w tears streaming down my face, I zoned out while staring at the foliage rustled by the breeze outside just had to breathe for a sec ya know. Well I think I now know what kind of plot gets my tear glands working, so simple a formula but works like a charm. This has been such a wonderful display of S4Es. Overall, all of the arcs made me fall on my knees gasping for breath so I'd say that it was an exhilarating journey of heartaches <(o´ ω `o)>♡♡♡

W10: The original world, it's... a lot to take in. Surprisingly brought about a great climax where I expected it to be a soft closing. Well the soft closing was reserved for the extras.

This novel has similiar vibes like 'Shouldering This Blame', MC must be Blackmoonlight that save protagonist but then push to abyss making Protagonist Blackening. MC pretend to be evil person to finish mission, he can't do it for real so he faking it but then all characters found it somehow and they regret it. This is fun because MC frustrated and making more misunderstanding. This novel has 9 world in total, in world 1 i can't figured it who is ML

S4 MC. Bloody messed up misunderstandings/conspiracy. Full crematorium. Swimming in dog blood and rusty nails. It hurts so much that I think I got tetan*s cuz I'm paralyzed by how shitty the situation is. The initial ab*se... idk if it can even called initial when it lasted so long made my eyes see red. Ugh this hurts me just thinking about it. My heart ached so bad at how MC was treated, he's young (20 when he got pregnant) and he didn't even know what happened but he's going through so much suffering for a crime he didn't commit. AAAAAH. I just can't. I wouldn't have gone through with reading this but I already burnt through my eyes reading that chunky second chapter filled w ab*se and was about to put this away but I'm so damn curious so I went through some spoilers and jumped to chp9 forward and seeing the ML's regrets woooh Idk so not forgiving him but like he's also facing a sh*t situation here but like argh what a mess. My heart hurts. For those who wants to read this here's a spoiler but I think it's better to know before reading this anyway since it's so pertinent to understand this bloody situation, the kids are not the ML's and the ML really loves MC but he feels betrayed af thus he's hurting MC. Honestly tho, not taking account of my weak heart that couldn't face such unfair circumstances/ab*se, the writing is pretty good. I mean it's a pretty hard story to MTL but even from the gist of it the plot is actually really good for a smut novel. It hurts but it's somewhat well thought out. Like ugh I don't even want to call it a smut novel cuz I'm mostly disgusted and angry most of the time but dang was the smut descriptions long. I guess it's more of an adult novel because of the theme it revolves around. I think I'm really upset since it's a really shitty situation that's kinda realistic that I feel helpless over it. Anyway, that's a lot of warnings for something I'm recommending. I don't think just anyone can stomach this but if you're into it, this could be the morning drama of your dreams.

OMG massive S4 mc, he’s manipulating the story but he’s suffering in each arc, experiences multiple cruel deaths that has his mls all mentally unstable. 

Strongly recommend!! You will not be disappointed, this mc is super smart planning for his death from the start, conjuring up angst and having his mls all worried.

Not sure if you already added this but “Assistant Manager Kim Hates Idols” 

Traumatized mc who was an office worker under a terrible boss goes back to the past with a system telling him to be an idol in order to prevent his sisters death. His system imposes penalties that makes him nose bleed. He believes he doesn’t belong in the idol group and is insecure but his members love him and after an incident stops him from working keeping a strict eye on him. 

Mild spoiler abt the incident to give more detail on his personality: 

Gets a tbi but the first thing he does waking up is asking abt the members.. faints after a show and ask abt the show after, leaving members angry abt his lack of self care. 

I look through your lists so here's some of my favs for your to-read list if they're not saved already:

Transmigrated As The Cannon Fodder Abandoned By The Movie Star (穿成被影帝抛弃的炮灰) - it ain't bloody, but it's hardcore emotional ab*se and the incredible slow recovery from it. Just hold out until about chapter 80, that's when the good stuff really hits

Xia Niangniang (瞎娘娘) - READY YOUR TEARS IT'S SHORT BUT LIKE A CURB STOMP IN COMBAT GREAVES ON MY HEART

After I Left the Industry, They Became Fans of My Aliases (退圈后他们粉上我的马甲) - short & sweet, but ends up as heartwarming so take it as you will

Holy Emperor’s Grandson is a Necromancer (성황의 손자는 네크로맨서) - a slow start but he pushes his limits more and more as time passes and pays for it lol

After Becoming The Tyrant (成为暴君之后) - ... it's been a hot minute since I last read this but I think it has S4E content

Trafford’s Trading Club (特拉福买家俱乐部) - kinda like a compilation of short tragedies, protag grants wishes and Trafford is another name for The Devil so you can tell where that's going ;)

I Became The Necromancer Of The Academy (아카데미의 사령술사가 되었다) - delicious food, but a bit mellow so a nice read between hardcore stuff

Betrayal Knight’s Joyful Faith (배신 기사의 유쾌한 신의) - casual S4E lol "I'm an extra [proceeds to do protagonist stuff]"

After Admitting The Wrong God They Regret It (认错神明后他们追悔莫及[星际]) - bit of an ab*se revenge post-S4 and onto E

The Villain Forced Me to Eat Soft Rice (反派逼我吃软饭) - now this, this is where it's at. Toxic relationship (at least at the start) but with actually emotionally mature adults.

He Became a Salted Fish After Inheriting Millions of Secret Arts (咸鱼继承百万秘术遗产后) - ok so it's like a soft S4 but then chapter 57 happens and your heart is wrenched out by some jagged rusty pliers

Marshal’s Cannon Fodder Spouse [Transmigration] (元帅的炮灰配偶［穿书］) - slow buildup S4E, but whenever he finally reaches his body's limit and collapses it's like [chef's kiss]

After being transmigrated as a cannon fodder mermaid (穿成炮灰人鱼后) - yes, just yes lol. or at least at the start.

[Breaking Through the Clouds | Poyun] and its sequel [Swallowing the Seas | Tunhai] by Huai Shang.

The genre is different than others in your list (police/crime/mystery) so I remind you that they might be heavier than other novels in the list, but these two novels had both shous physically and/or mentally fragile with ML slowly uncovering their sufferings so yeahhh checks out!

Shou from Poyun had been in a coma for 3 years so his body is extremely weak and sickly and he has some serious PTSD regarding the events that landed him in that predicament, and ML will gradually uncover just how much suffering he'd been enduring mmyeahh so good! Every trauma confession scene is superb! And and and Shou is also lowkey suicidal in his self-sacrifice and doesn't take his body seriously (as in running after criminals just like days after getting discharged) so he lands in the hospital often lol. ML is also very shamelessly doting on him~ Last arc is so SSSSE satisfying~

Shou in Tunhai has more PTSD and depression and self-crisis and everything mentally torturing bc he was an undercover agent for more than a decade thus his trauma is overwhelming. He also tends to hide his wounds/pain so there'd be many little SSSSE scenes especially bc there are so many twist and turns as ML discover layer upon layer of his past trauma. Shou is also the baby of the group so everyone dotes on him~
