I really like the aspect of human banding together in the face of danger is really fleshed in this novel. There's no sudden timeskip where 'hey, human is okay again now!'. The progress how humanity advance from the lowest point (being the target for monsters to kill) to the bare minimum where they can at least have the ability to kill the monsters is really written well.

Like, i.e how the food situations going on, the state of the wrecked city, how people personality changed in the face of survival times, how to transport things, etc. Everything is well thought. Though I won't deny the solutions for some of the problem is a bit 'deus ex machina' sometimes. But oh well, it's fantasy, so it will need fantasy aspect solutions for it, right? <<less

Now, I'm a sucker for this kind of novel where MC use his/her modern knowledge to advance society. And this WN exactly offers that. Meet Shizuko, a highschool girl that got time slipped into the Sengoku Era. It's Japanese with Samurai's, folks! and it's the era where territorial wars happen very often. Turbulent times indeed, I know. The arrival of Shizuko changed the Japanese society completely. She's that good srsly. She can farm, she can hunt (well sort of), she use all her modern knowledge to help Oda Nobunaga to win this war. Ahhh she's really the IT GIRL. She's the GOAT i guess lol. Oh and as you read the novel, you'll learn of Japanese history too, isn't that cool? not only we get great MC, great story about advancing society through farming and creation of modern tools, we also learn history too.
