I think if you read idol novels or manhwas  then you've definitely read 'Debut or Die', but if you haven't then I recommend you do. The conflict post-debut sometimes feels a little... repetitive? Not so much that it's unbearable and I haven't even read much of the post-debut so it probably gets better. Pre-debut is standard fare, likely because it sorta made the standard. *I find the trope of a kinda pragmatic, results and themself first character who suddenly find themself caring about the people around them very compelling and I love every character who fits it, even a little, to bitsies. I feel Moondae fits this troop quite well and that's the biggest endorsement I could give any novel. For the record I also very much like the other group members, whom I shan't name for spoiler reasons (Moondae being a part of the group isn't a spoiler bc of course he gets in hes the main character).* I'm around chapter 120. <<less

I mentioned in the 'Debut or Die' review that that i like characters with an I me myself attitude accidentally becoming fond of those around them and incidentally this is the guy who started that obsession. The translators on this one are very good and as far as story goes its pretty good there are some dropped plots and few loose ends that didn't get resolved before part 2. It's s*upidly long (as of writing this there is 1010~ chapters) but still feels like a quick read because of much it draws you in. they might go... I thought this is for things you've read? and that is

true, for the most part, this being the one exception. 

If one were to base their judgment on name alone they might except one

of those tr*shy power fantasy types thats all the rage these days (not

that there's anything wrong with those i read them too sometimes) However it

is anything but. It starts similar but it quickly becomes something much more and its thrilling! Does have some romance at like arc 5-ish (idk how they count the arcs that's me off the dome) but its so well written and cute and their both my pretty princesses.

 *I haven't read this novel yet but I've read the manhwa adaptation of this novel, and it's so so so so so good that's no way this could be subpar and I will read it soon. The manhwa of this is officially available on tapas and i recommend it so highly its my number one favorite manhwa of all time and I'm sure the novel is just as good.* I'll update this once I've read the novel.

Sometime there comes a story that one struggles to put into words for various reasons, this is one of them for me. There's just so much? (<--- typing quirk i picked up from this novel ARGHH. On to the actual review stuff. A great novel for theory-crafters and re-readers because the author loves to plant a plot point or drop some information in like ch. 30 and then bring it back up in ch. 230. Bonkers. Also there"s like so many chapters? library key has around 250 translated as of writing this but the novel has like 1200, There's another translation that's at 800-ish but I heard its machine translated and I'm trying to keep myself sane and happy. The characters are very solid in this one the main character is my other favorite kind of character and that's just very nice and does everything they can to help (unless it's toward himself, silly bastard). The dynamic he has with his class mates is so funny, he saves them from pure suffering and/or death, usually doesn't tell them and then just sit there next to them like nothing happened. This is also very much a 'That boy needs therapy' kinda novel?

I will start by saying that its been a while since I read this and I'm not caught up so take my words with a grain of salt. It's good going if a tad boring at times from what i remember? I certainly enjoyed reading it at the time but I cant recall much about it... I got caught up when they started bringing in more of the old prince Jesse's back story and I would have loved to read more about that, I was very excited but then just kind of forgot about it because I was too impatient to wait (^^;). I've gotten better about that now and i need to go back... more>> and read it.

*I do wish to say when I first went to read this there were a lot of comments saying that Jesse was a weakling push over and too forgiving to his foe and straight up no? The foes people were talking about were two 12 year olds who were raised from birth to listen to orders and be assassins and the excessive mercy was not having them killed. What are y'all on? they didn't get off free of all punishment they are paying for their crimes. They killed two children and impersonated them with the intent to kill Jesse and they are paying for that crime. The amount of people who wanted these two 12 year olds dead for doing what they were told they had to is crazy. Please be normal.* <<less

Classic misunderstanding snowball situation. MC (Kang Woojin) goes too an acting audition to support his friend. Ends up acting in his friends place to stall,... more>> awakens a system of sorts? gets mad embarrassed after. He puts on a stony face to hide his embarrassment and rushes out, but then everyone just thinks that what hes like normally and it just keeps snowballing. Its not quite a system it doesn't give quests or anything, in the translation I'm reading it's  referred to as a "void space". tldr it makes him good at acting. It's a good read so far I'm at ch150 currently. It's not tagged romance but there is what seams to be love interests 2 or 3 by my count. Mild spoilers but one of them is an idol. They do it well, shes very cute, and there isn't any drama about it (yet); but i know Idol romance can be stressful for some (me) so I figured I'd give a warning. <<less
