ML: Jian Fanyu who is reborn with memories of the twenty years into the future of the original time-line/plot where he is paranoid and gloomy (due to heartbreak and being obsessed with having a perfect relationship). At first he treated MC as if he were a "pet rabbit" because he found MC cute and felt warm around him. As his feelings grew from intetest, he often thought about locking up MC, but realized he needed treatment when MC almost died and MC's sister told him that they would die together if he kept being so dark... in fact, he scared MC's mom and other characters because they can see how dark-hearted he is (MC didnt... more>> notice his toxic traits). So yeah he gets a "redemption" plot and learns to love others again (his sister, and MC) and like himself. He legit confesses to MC how sick his thoughts are:
Jian Fanyu's hands clenched slightly, and he calmed down for a while before speaking again: "I have actually been lying to you all the time. What you see of me is a false appearance. In fact, my gentleness and thoughtfulness are all pretended for you to see."

MC: Ruan Miao "MiaoMiao" is a little sunshine sweetie and most characters think he's an angel that descended to save them LOL. He feels guilty for living as Ruan Miao and misses his original family (which is incredibly poignant and the emotion in his plot line and love/care for others makes the story beautiful). He tries and succeeds in saving "the villains". I love how transmigration is addressed in this novel - most of the characters knew MC is a different soul and tell MC that his acting is bad and the original Ruan Miao is smarter (LOLOL). However, they still love him for him. From his sister's perspective (she came back from the failed/bad-end timeline where everyone dies... and does her best to save him because he was previously imprisoned and controlled by ML who didn't respect his wishes and only saw him as his property leading to locking him up so MC feared ML and had a mental breakdown after his older brother died and the family collapsed...). Meanwhile, he was the "angel brother" whom the original Ruan Miao cherished every encounter. It was so bittersweet when Ruan Miao switches their places and says something like "I had prayed to God to send me an Angel, and he sent you... at the cost of me leaving". He also implies he really likes him and he wished that MC would choose him over ML LOLOL. He also thinks Ruan Chen (MC's original brother) is God... and he's not wrong LOL (glad handsome older bro Ruan Chen explained everything, and it's also bittersweet he left a part of himself in He Shangye to protect MC...)
Side Yandere ML: Yin Lu, who only loved and missed the original Ruan Miao. (Unfortunately for him, Ruan Miao tells MC he would never choose him LOLOL)
Other side yandere: Wei Xinghe for Xiang Fei... so he sees his babe talking to MC and is all scary jealous and possessive sending chilling glares to MC and asking "what are you talking about?" And Xiang Fei is like "What is this? Meteor Garden?" And MC was like "there's no Daoming Si in this world... wait a minute!?" Leading to them bonding LOLOL. Wei Xingehe knew at a glance that he and Jian Fanyu are the same types of gongs LMAO even Xiang Fei complains he was fooled by a black-hearted wolf.
Other side yandere(?) It's implied Xi Sheng is towards He Shanglu (the tsundere bro and who gives tough/rebellious bottom vibes like Xiang Fei does LOL). So basically there was a marriage agreement and Xi Sheng (a business elite) wanted He Shanglu as a spouse when He Shanglu was a... child (Lol wtf. I think he developed feelings as He Shanglu grew older, or he always found the tsundere bad boy softie to be adorable and was bidding his time). The eldest He Shangye made a deal to give him his brother when he turns 18, but later is trying to delay the marriage by saying it's He Shanglu's choice and that he needed to repeat a school year lol. Although... He Shangzhi (the twin sister) remembers that when their family suffered disasters, Xi Sheng took He Shanglu away and she never heard from him so its darkly implied Xi Sheng probably also locked him up(???). Sometimes the eldest brother teases He Shanglu by saying he'll give him to Xi Sheng if he doesn't behave, and he is scared of him because Xi Sheng loves to tease him - apparently he used to say he'll dress him up like a pretty doll which scared him LOL. Anyways in the extras, it's implied that they are happy together so I guess Xi Sheng succeeded in seducing He Shanglu.
Again, the novel handles transmigration so well. I love that the reason for MC, ML and the sister being in that world is explained as well as the original character telling MC he wanted to give his life to him because he loves him over the world... as well as THE GOOD OLDER BRO RUAN CHEN!!! Omg the novel reminded me of When the Vilainess Falls in Love (the part where the original character chooses to give themselves to MC because they wish for MC to live freely and stay in the world) and Full Moon wo sagashite (when the older brother was a light breeze visiting MC at his wedding and smiling in relief that MC happy). Also the mom character was well written and evoked so much compassion - the author does such a great job highlighting MC's maturity of loving her as a mother and understanding she was a person before she gave birth... and accepting the truth that she tried to protect him by letting people think she was a vicious mistress instead of a victim of r*pe. The depth to her character was incredible and her character amazed me. I cried when she promised she'll join her son because she felt he was waiting for her and she knew he didn't like to be alone. I'm also blown away that she was the kind older sister to He Shangye, and that he always felt he owed her...
Also Yan Yang (is that the original ML??) Wasn't a completely bad guy either (just oblivious...). Even though MC disliked him for being a natural player, MC and the author still wrote him well- someone who grew up loved, sheltered and innocent and unaware of his words and actions affecting others (such as ML who is sensitive and has a tendency to overthink). He wasn't compatible with Jian Fanyu, but they didnt break up because they were used to being "childhood sweethearts", and Yan Yang always expected Jian Fanyu to be there for himself without considering that hes inconsiderate behavious drove Jian Fanyu to be very insecure. Even Jian Fanyu thinks of his ex-lover as someone who never grew up which is sad but kind of realistic for someone who never experienced hardships or was challenges in life I guess? It made sense for ML to fall in love with MC who is more observant and respectful of him and fought to be together. Yan Yang did the right thing by letting go and wishing both characters happiness (cuz he also gets his memories back and realizes with MC's help that he didn't know how to love and cherish ML)

Really good novel! I love MC (Ye Mian)'s family and friends. I even like ML's parents. Gotta say, I love the strong bonds MC has with people, and his older brother Ye Jing is such a good parent- he wants to protect MC and let him live carefree and happily, so he was worried about his little brother being fooled because he knows ML is not simple and cannot be provoked. Big brother can see clearly that ML, who has status, is very powerful and able to influence many people, is difficult to deal with (especially when MC was oblivious and unwilling to be with him... meanahile MC is like "is this the legendary GayDar?" Because his own brother pointed out he can tell ML likes him and has homos*xual intentions lolol). Grandma is amazing, MC reminded her of his great-uncle whom she personally raised - charming, cute, outgoing and considerate. She remembers the difficult he faced when marrying a man and so she chose to support the couple because she didn't want her favorite grandchild to be estranged from the family. Good friends: Wei Angyuan, Ruan Yunsheng, Li Zhao. There's more haha. There's even a guy MC saved from drowning who was secretly in love with him because they had met before!
ML: Zhuang Xu/MTL: Zhuang Yu/Wei Duke/Prince Rongnan. Just as the description said, Malevolent and Cruel, Erratic Personality, Possessive. His own father finds him overbearing and domineering LOL (there's a funny scene where MC meets ML's dad and is swooned cuz he's the hotter and gentlemanly daddy version of ML, so he was contemplating asking ML to speak in the same accent as his dad LMAO). There's also two chapters describing ML's perspective and he was obsessed with MC and due to immaturity, pulled pranks on him because he was unhappy MC was excited about marriage and love but was interested in girls... he also didn't stop MC from being punished with a ruler at school because he felt hot and bothered seeing MC cry (because MC cried prettily) and he was fantasizing of sucking "crystal drops from his eyes" lol. His own mother said was good about him (to MC's mom LOL) is that he's like his father in the sense that if MC asked for money he'll give it to him - this is demonstrated throughout the novel where he gifts MC priceless and expensive rare gifts and thinks to himself that he wants to pamper MC who is so lovable and cute. When MC had a fever and took a nap in his friend's room, ML kidnaps him, fed him medicine and they shared a bed in his dorm (ML had fun bullying MC by making up a ghost story and holding him while he cried and cling to him... meanwhile MC told his brother that ML "pressed him on the bed" and "held him all night" which alarmed big bro to send a threatening letter to ML making ML realize hes gay LOL). Before MC fell in love with him, he was very angry that ML was jealous of MC's best friend causing his friend to be beaten up by his father, so MC straight up told ML "just because you like me, doesn't make me yours. Where does this confidence come from? Your wealth and status? Or your mom and dad's love story?" - MC pointed out ML is like his mom who would pester and follow the one they like, and can only like one person. Also MLs parents (his mom is the most favored princess of the previous emperor, and current emperors favorite sister, and his dad is called a prince consort, wealthy through salts and water trade, so the family wealthier than the country LOL).
MC: Ye Mian, is one of my favorite sunshine type characters. He's just like the description says - sunny, clever, nimble. Other characters find him very likeable because hes charming, lively and pretty. He livens up the atmosphere and his mom is proud that he's so popular (he's a mama's boy lol so his mom quarrels when his dad disagrees with spoiling him, meanwhile his own father spoils him after he told his dad he loves him by giving him more money). He's also very kind and considerate, to the extent his friends think he's a Saint (because MC has values of equality from modern times, whereas his friends are people with status and look down on commoners). When he almost drowned saving someone from drowning, ML agreed with MC's brother scolding him and teaching him a lesson about valuing his own life and body. I love MC's mischief and "naughtiness" as he has fun wherever he goes. He's also very kind-hearted. Although he didn't like ML's attitude at first, he gradually fell in love as ML kept wooing him and bend. The reason why he didn't fall in love sooner was because ML bullied MC and his friends, so MC wasn't willing. ML discovered MC is soft-hearted (cuz he treated him with medicine when he was whipped), and he uses that to his advantage. MC also realized how good ML is after he discovered that ML's second brother is a psychopath (the kid cruelly killed ML's pet, and gives MC a bad feeling just like Ding Huai who wants to sleep with him for his own greedy desire for beauty...). Also, MC got to know ML better through letters so it makes sense that he'd love him, but obviously ML loves MC no one can resist him. MC is also protected by his brother, so no one except ML dares to pull tricks. I also really like that when ML asks MC where does he want to travel, he said the north because he wants to beat up the perpetrator that harassed his brother in his youth (causing big brother to be worried about MC being coveted and targeted by pe*verts).
I recommend the novel- the chemistry between the leads is amazing, and the character are well written. MC and ML have witty dialogues too. For example, MC is sarcastic and savage with ML "Thank you how? Do you want me to take off my clothes and sleep with you?". There's also a scene where they are drinking together on their birthday and after MC accompanied his sister to her wedding, and ML is like "Why am I giving you these good drinks? To get you drunk and then take advantage of you" LOL (he does succeed tho, at the cost of drunken MC beating him up)

ML: Erik from Phantom of the Opera... all-rounder genius who secretly sews MC's clothes (partially due to having a strong desire for control). YANDERE OFF THE RAILS (he harms/mu*ders people who have ill intention towards MC, he gets jealous when MC is being kind to others, sometimes wants to kill MC because he's afraid of his feelings of attachment, has deep feelings of shame...). MC: Bo Li / Polly Clement. Unknowingly seduces ML who is touch-starved with hugs and kisses. She can pick up on ML's mood - for example, she shaved a kid's head, noticed ML being more abnormal than usual and offers to cut his hair LOL. She often feels like a prey around ML who is a hunter and predator... but tells him sweet words that he finds he likes. She even thought to herself she has Stockholm Syndrome, and acknowledged she would have died without ML's help and protection. She's got really good intuition as she managed to dodge bullets and calm ML down everytime he thinks about killing her...

Also, MC was following his heart, not noticing that they were mutually attracted to each other in every past life LOL). Hes also YANDERE, he gets insanely jealous of Sheng Chengli (the "protagonist") and hates him because of how well MC knows him and he figured out MC used to help and "chose" him in the past lives. He treats Sheng Chengli as if he was MC's abusive ex-boyfriend (so glad author did not go that route, otherwise ML would have tortured the guy a lot sooner and not spare any small dignity). It's very cute how the ministers were amazed that MC remained married to ML for four years without running away (because to the court, ML is unpredictable, scheming and a ruthless tyrant). Meanwhile, even though he calls MC his "little Bodhisattva" and "husband", sometimes he refers to MC as his "wife" in his mind, and he likes to be coquettish and play victim to get MC's indulgence LOLOL. It was also revealed he was the only one not to remember the past lives, as his wise brother explained to MC, because ML didn't have anything worth holding onto the past- his past lives were nightmares not worth remembering because all his loved ones have died, and he accomplished his goals step by step. In this life, he and MC have fallen in love, MC's position gave him a smoother life, he found his remaining kin (second and third bro and Yuan Yuan!) and learned to trust and love again. In the past life, MC's friend young master Ke told MC that ML always treated him differently from everyone else (MC being oblivious was like "its cuz im a worthy opponent" like noooo its because u r so cute and he wants to sleep with uuuuu but wont admit it outright because u r frail). MC learned from the shadow guard that ML expressed "bewildered confusion" as the news of his death, and was subtly missing him a LOT... he would watch flowers bloom, play chess or drink under the moonlight and turn, softly calling "young master" but notice MC, who used to hang out with him sometimes, was no longer there. And even from his own POV he always thought if he had met MC in an alternative timeline, he would befriend such a noble character (total gay thoughts LMAO). I'm curious how the author would have written ML's POV from the second life - if he got revenge for MC's mu*der, and if his despair drove him to the darkness... hmm
MC: Rong Tang, TangTang (almost became heavenly Dao, ML calls him "little Bodhisattva/ Little Buddha /little Deity" affectionately or "husband" sometimes). He marries ML and gives him space to scheme while he relaxes and leisurely enjoys life reading and basking in sunlight since he wants to enjoy his "last chance" and no longer involve himself with the fifth prince who betrayed him (leaving a traumatic shadow, to the extent where he vomitted and fainted when they reunited in this life). I like Rong Tang, and so do his friends. He has many charming qualities, and part of why ML fell in love with him was due to his brilliance (hes smart, kind, compassionate, generous etc). Not only does ML choose to save people because MC wanted to save others, but also ML wanted to befriend the people MC wanted to befriend (I.e., Ke Hongxue and Mu Jingxi). ML also enjoys playing games with MC because MC is a brilliant strategist (he always manages to save himself in any game they play, before eventually goes on to does something else because to him its just a game while ML analyzes every move LOL... to ML people are like chess pieces. MC used to be one, but ML quickly realized MC is a treasure). ML asked MC to be empress, but was casually willing to let Sheng Chengming (I think thats the second prince?) Be regent while he travels with his beloved because he was afraid of MC abandoning him. I really enjoyed MC's journey throughout the novel.
I also love the system who was a ball of light, that was actually a cloud MC casually took, gave it a conscience and was like "lets roleplay, youll be my system" awww. ML always thought of the system "TongTong" as a child (due to its cute adorable voice and body language of cuddling with MC all the time/ bouncing on ML when angry LOL) and he thought himself the step-father. Meanwhile, MC knows the system "would rather be your Dad and be called system Daddy"LOL. Meanwhile, yeah it turns out the system is his child because MC made it. AND then LMAO while it fell into a coma and was recuperating, ML's Buddist brother (Master HuiMian) was watering it in a flower pot HAHAHA.
I love the side couple Ke Hongxue and Mu Jingxi and how their love story unfolded. One, it turns out Ke Top had recognized MuMu for a long time. He was once a child who always looked forward to "big brother" who promised to play with him - yesss they are younger top x older bottom. He recognized his "senior" and stayed true and loyal and was forever waiting for his senior to return his feelings. Meanwhile he seemed flirty and played in brothels, but was actually just seeking fun and listening to gossip because he liked playing dandy to protect himself from royalty and political drama (or so I thought, but it turned out he was mimicking MuMu's behaviour from before MuMu when he was a young and carefree prince). ML figured out MC met this guy while watching an opera and they instantly clicked. Meanwhile, ML only recognized who MuMu was when MC noticed the handwriting matched a book ML shared, which belonged to his elder brother... and then we learn of the twist of ML destroying his own bones to modify his features and he suspected his brother has done the same and faked his death (from back-stabbing). Meanwhile, Ke HongXue had disappeared when MuMu died in the past lives, and they never really got together due to MuMu being unable to rest in his quest for revenge and to protect his brother whom he recognized himself in secret. Ke Hongxue was always chasing MuMu. In this life, ML and MC helped get these two together, and MuMu accepted Ke Hongxue's love... and then more plot twists - MuMu is actually into BD*M and is a saddist??? Or like, probably is into rough play due to trauma idk LOLOL Ke Top was looking at the candles MuMu had and was thinking of changing them into safer ones LOL. But yeah, Ke Hongxue's obsession was their separation in the past lives (when he was "widowed"), which explains his clingier behaviour. Update: so i read the extras and oh my oh my!!! So Mu Jingxi (Sheng Fuze) was the "genius third prince meant to be a romantic wanderer". He thought Ke Hongxue was a cutie when they were children and wanted to marry him!!! He seduced Ke Hongxue first!!! It turned out Ke Hongxue mimiced the third prince's flirtatious behavior, and wears red cuz Sheng Fuze/MuMu told him he looked good in red. And when he eventually recognized MuMu, he basically offered himself, his power Wealth and status to be used because he wants them to be entangled and felt MuMu owes him which is true !!!! I found it so sweet and adorable MuMu always wanted to be with Ke Hongxue, and sought him out when he returned to the capital because he missed him. And he used to sneak into his courtyard and leave him trinkets in the past, either bought with his own money or money Ke Hongxue gave him LOLOL MuMu loved him at first sight LOLOL

MC: Shen Tianqi bore three kids for ML (I havent finished the novel yet so maybe there will be more kids??) LOL the children are adorable as they felt an instant connection with him. I really like this protagonist who misses his home and family, and it's made realistic with how torn he was when he had to make a choice because he was running out of time. It was very touching that he told his brother and sister the truth, and their reactions were realistic (they were skeptical and like "u expect us to accept u marrying some random stranger we havent met just cuz u gave birth to his children??" LOL)
Omg I love the children and im so happy that MC's original family have a fortunate end - his brother reincarnates into the world as MC had hoped (because MC felt they would be happier in the cultivation world where they can heal and live more freely), and his brother has a potential partner (Jingwei - badass tsundere future demon lord lol obsessed and shocked the soul had been reincarnated and somewhat disappointing about the fact that he has been forgotten). I also enjoyed the other what if scenarios revealed when MC met ML's dad in ther mermaid pearl - turns out MC's mom helped ML when he was a child and offered him if he'd be willing to be her son's companion - this truth made MC realized they could have had the childhood sweethearts route LOL
I also love the children- they stole the show. It's adorable how MC and ML could hear their voices when MC was pregnant with each of them, and how MC can tell their personalities right away LOL (it was so funny how MC was encouraging the youngest to hatch, figured out he wasn't interested in seeing the scenery, but was motivated by leveling up and cultivation making MC think he would have the personality of a Qidian protagonist LOLOL)

ML: Lu Chixie, a rich young master who kinda reminds me of old-school dominant male leads LOLOL I say this, because even when MC clearly expressed annoyance and was uncomfortable with his pursuit, he is persistant and kept chasing MC, and was forceful and overbearing when he kissed MC 3 times before MC decides to date him (while emotionally vulnerable and very sad that his first love was unrequited... ML was like "ima bet the guy u like wont show up" LOL ouch). I have read halfway and I only understand that he once saw MC singing in a bar and thought he was attractive, and when they met again on the set of a drama he decides to go for him and act on that attraction. anyways yea he is YANDERE and manipulative - he sowed discord among MC's boy group by pulling strings and sending resources their way knowing they won't be able to resist acting in their self-interests and because he wanted to "teach MC a lesson"... which kind of hurts since MC was all for the group for around 8 years so the betrayal still stings despite MC expecting it (because his own agent wants to push him to go solo and soar in his career - he has what it takes to succeed, and ML wants to also push him to succeed). I guess what I like about ML is that he knows MC is the only one for him (even tho it was all "love at first sight" LMAO) and no matter what, he chooses MC and wants MC to shine. Like, he took MC out to a bar cuz he knows MC loves to perform, and MC sang a rock song and was so thrilled and happy afterwards because singing is MC's passion. And there was a part where MC sang a classic song while ML played guqjn - again, ML demonstrates willingness and wanting to support MC in pursuing his dreams... MC denies it, but other characters felt the idol boy group was holding MC back. Anyways, ML manages his own CP account with MC LOL
MC: Ling Zhuo is a popular idol. Starts of being in love with Zhang Yiran (I think thats the name?) Of his group captain and in fact, he became a trainee because he saw this guy practicing dancing and fell in love at first sight. The guy he likes also likes him back, but kept an ambigious friendship for the sake of their careers and in the interest of their group. I find both of their characters well written in the context of realistic slice-of-life - two gays playing it safe. And I find MC much more relatable and realistic than ML LOL - MC and his crush hang out to catch up and theres a brochure advertising a fireworks festival. MC asks him out with subtle romantic connotations (basically asking out on a date without actually saying it!!!) And he goes and waits for him, meanwhile ML is there also watching the test of their relationship. So obviously, as ML predicted, the crush finds an excuse not to go so as not to rock the boat and risk their career. MC, heartbroken, agrees to try a relationship with ML. And ML being the possessive jealous type, gets MC a matching watch that symbolizes their status as a couple (becauseeee earlier, MC was looking for this cheap watch his crush gave him, so obviously ML took that to heart and decided he wants to be the one in MC's heart LMAO). But yeaaa ML is very umm like a Shoujo or Josei Male Lead HAHAHA

ML: Ye Xingzhou, YANDERE (hes easily jealous of MC hanging out with other men, MC notices this and deliberately provoked him because he wanted to see him go crazy for him... and he does go grazy by retaliating and by bullying MC. Of course, MC stands up for himself by scolding and beating him back). This ML is very possessive and very controlling - its very romantic that he's willing to drive over four hours or catch flights to chase after MC, but there's subtle undertones that imply he really can't bear to let MC out of his sight... before he confessed that he likes/loves MC, he's very PREDATORY. He created opportunities for himself to get MC alone and seduce him... before MC came out gay, ML prétends to be this gentle and considerate "older brother" and MC's dad was deceived into thinking he's can trust MC to be alone and learn from him (which didnt make MC feel protected at all). He'd also send demanding "Come over tonight" texts during the time they were just hooking up, and would just go pick up MC if he rebelled and went to go hang out with his buddies. In fact, it was MC's grandfather (who ML highly respects) that calls out ML on his ulterior motives and behavior by pointing out "you never gave my grandson any other choice". ML is cunning and scheming and has the face of gentleman s*um ~ even MC is unable to describe him as a good guy, but tries not to call him bad even though his father thinks ML is a bad guy and unsuitable son-in-law (based on his indifferent and cruel/cold treatment of his own dysfunctional family and his past friendship AND also for taking advantage of MC right under their noses - MC's dad used to think their behaviour was strange and understood when MC came out gay that something was going on between them).
MC: Qi Xing, is totally spoiled and charming (ML thinks of him as a wild cat/kitten). At first ML demands he sleeps with him to satisfy his own lust (MC is sometimes perceptive LOL) but ML fell in love hard when MC didn't abandon him when they were in danger. MC also tries to harass and trick ML back (cuz MC is petty) but he fell into his own traps and they often backfire. For example, he wanted to expose ML as a ruthless beast (after he got offended ML wanted him for s*x LMAO) so he hired someone who looked like him to seduce ML and try to frame ML to get caught by his friend who he assumed ML liked (ML doesn't care, but he decides to teach MC a lesson by outsmarting MC, makes them both take the aphrodisiac drug and that's their first time together- hot angry enemies-to-lovers s*x HAHA). Another example was when MC wanted to hire people to beat up ML because MC hated being led around by the nose and MC is so prideful... again the plan backfires because when MC got ML alone, they ended up being targeted by ML's other enemies (and MC later found out ML got revenge by causing the person responsible to get into a "car accident"... so gangster). Yeah both MC and ML are kinda toxic, but they have a relatively equal relationship (in the past, MC got tired of people hitting on him for his money or to use him, and even MC's mom was like "if young master Ye wasn't hot my son wouldn't have gone for him" LMAO). Although ML seems more mature, u can't help but agree with MC when he calls ML a "psycho" LOLOL. There's a part where ML follows MC to America cuz MC kept making him jealous with being all "I'm having coffee with my blind date, so what?" Cuz MC desperately wanted ML to admit he likes him first and thought jealously was the perfect way to get back at ML for making him feel like he's not in control and for leading him by the nose... of course ML kidnaps MC to teach him a lesson again but ends up scaring MC (who felt violated). I'm actually happy with MC's thoughts- he straight up confronts ML and was like "what? How come you won't let me make friends!?"... if MC didn't stand up for himself I feel like the novel would go straight to tragedy and horror LMAO. but also, I kinda feel bad MC has to demand respect from ML because ML has a dark and depressing childhood and doesn't know how to express love and warmth like MC does (he thinks MC gifting him random gifts is like a kitten catching birds and mice for the person they like LOLOL). ALSO I honestly like MC's POV despite the innocent naivety because ML's thoughts are kinda pe*verted. There's a part where his childhood friend wanted to use him so shows up to reminiscent about the past and play the emotional card and ML is ignoring him, plays with MC's fallen cufflink and thinks about his "face during climax" LOLOLOL what!? But when MC asks him why he was all quiet he's like "...I was wondering how long you'd be hiding" like excuse me no sir we as readers know u only really think about sleeping with the cutie MC whom you found to be an "exquisite beauty" at first sight LOLOL

Qi Xing choked up, as if suddenly realizing that this person wasn't just mentally unstable but also shameless, a rogue and a scoundrel. All in all, a complete animal, unfortunately disguised as a human, fooling everyone.
Thinking back to earlier on the mountain, where he was pinned down and unable to move by him, Qi Xing's nerves began to pound again, and he felt like hitting someone.
But he couldn't win.
I like the passionate firey relationship dynamic between these two. ML is drawn to MC and gradually becomes more obsessed. MC acts fierce, but hes also a huge softie and absolutely adorable (from ML's perspective, even when angry MC looks hot - teary eyed and blushing LMAO)
Their dynamic is hilarious and the chemistry is intense. Heres an example the day after they slept together (in which Qi Xing fell into his own trap, but was also tricked by ML who caught on to what he tried to do):
He lit a cigarette and put it in his mouth, his eyes lingering on Qi Xing's face for a while, "Want this car?"
Qi Xing took back his hand and pouted: "Didn't Master Ye say that his things should not be touched by others? If I touch your car, who knows if you will set it on fire and burn me too next time."
Ye Xingzhou: "Sleep with me once and get a car. You can choose any of these cars."
Qi Xing's face changed, and he almost thought he had heard it wrong: "Do you think I'm a prostitute?!"
LOLOL ML is hooked and addicted to MC ~
The writing is very good. I like this story the most among the other stories i read by the author because I like the fun explosive chemistry of the main couple- they're crazy for each other and what kept me hooked on their story are the moments where they fight or f*ck LOLOL. Thats the majority of the plot
I also love the MC's parents and friends. His parents overprotectiveness is explained by the fact he was once kidnapped (hence the curfew). His grandfather is so endearing and loves this "naughty grandson". His best friend is slighty scared of ML, but supports MC's choices LOL

ML: Huo Ming, likes to tease the one he likes and fondly calls him "little fool". Also, hes the first to notice and figure out his crush's body is possessed (he noticed the personality change, tested the transmigrator food preferences and compared the handwritings). In addition, one time he teased MC so MC bumped his head on the window, and teared up and cried a little which made ML's heart tremble because MC is adorable LOL. Its ML's persistance that tethered MC's soul, and the extras gave more context of the karma tying them together heh... of note, ML was subtle but through the text you can see that he was traumatized by MC's car accident and likely blames himself for not keeping an eye on him (cuz that day, ML went home while MC was waiting for his ride). So, ML became even more attentive...
MC: Qu Xiaoxi is cute (he's quite sensible and obedient, and easily teased by ML). He was bullied for being slow, so it was heartbreaking to see the transmigrator being liked and MC thought no one would miss him or like him for being "a fool". The novel made me tear up a couple of times, especially when ML was like "Qu Xiaoxi, where are you?" And MC, a ghost, replies "I'm here" buuut ML couldn't hear him. Eventually he gathers enough "mana" (knowledge from their past life LOL) so hes able to protect ML who almost got killed. After that, ML almost jumps out a window/fake su*cide to trick MC into pulling him back and revealing his existence beside him (hence why i included this novel on my list~ heehee ML is crazy for MC - he even used jade to gather and protect MC's soul in their past life). MC is content as long as hes with ML. ML basically proposés to MC to move in with him, and MC's sister is like "dang it!" LOL
Villains: 855 and Mu Jichen. So this system was the culprit causing MC's car accident, and it threatens both its host and MC with their lives and the lives of people they care about to fufill its own obsessive goals (it wanted to achieve a bloody melodramatix plot and an S+ ending and doesnt care about morals...). As for Mu Jichen, despite his name, MC didnt feel safe around him and he isn't a good person (very scum). When he called their classmate beautiful (he was ambiguous with her for a while), the ML and transmigrator were like "what kind of teacher behaves like this? Dismissing teacher ethics and has evil intentions?" (Basically noting his predatory behaviors). It took a while to show his true face (as a stumbling block and s*um player who doesnt care about other people's feelings) to Xia Li (the heroine). What makes his character interesting is that hes bis*xual LOL but its his bad nature that makes him a villain and undeserving of being "the male protagonist". So glad Le Xiaoyao teamed up with MC and ML to change Xia Li's future.

When MC is around, ML is quite calm and MC takes care of him (cooks and folds his cuffs... I say this cuz when it was ML's turn to cook he wanted to take them out for dinner LOL). So MC goes on vacation and cooked him pancakes to eat, but after ML... more>> consumes it all in one day... he misses MC so much he goes out for a walk to wait for him. In the process, he has some thoughts of destroying the world while bored and ends up hurting other people who annoyed him LOL. When the opportunity arises, ML straight up stalks and watches MC sleeping (& charging LOL). Theres also a part where ML is forcibly taking over the rebel host group because he wants to ensure they dont cause harm to MC. So when he gets a tour and receives an unexpected surprise, he knew MC was involved because "only SanSan" gives him feelings of excitement Lolol the other hosts think he's just excessively possessive of an adorable cat ball, but some host noticed ML is way too intimate and might be in love with his system (truthfully he's obsessively in love). Other Madman moments: when MC calls to be like "I'm home cooking soup, please buy green onions", he basically bullied their rude neighbour to buy off green onions they grew and is inwardly proud that he bargained (this was after he almost killed the other host for provoking him and he didnt want to waste time before reuniting with MC, but spared his life because he can still use others to please MC LOL crazy). It was adorable when he got home and meowed as MC through the window (they are quite playful together). He usually browses MC's personal store on a whim, so when MC accidentally listed a fried egg (fried on his head LOL) ML immediately purchased and ate it LOLOL ML also noticed MC's moods and can read between the lines of things MC doesnt say... one time MC suddenly remembered how rude ML was when they first met and complained how he called MC's ears "fake cuteness" and ML was flustered and like "I thought you had forgotten that!!!!" LOLOL. Honestly, its hilarious reading about ML's two-faced nature where hes very very good to MC and terrorizing other people while bored when MC is away and hes unable to follow. Otherwise hes very likely to follow and be content watching MC being cute and going about his business. Although hes possessive (if he notices other people watching or about to take pics of MC he'll intervene), he supports MC wanting to hang out with his other cat ball friends and created/invested in a spa for MC and took him and his friends there to hang out and relax LOL
MC: SanSan (no. 2333) is whom ML describes as "warm". He is affectionate and caring towards his friends. Hes naturally adorable, carefree and ML notices right away MC dislikes his boss "the main system" LOL.
Other people have described MC and ML as wild geese when apart (most of the action in the beginning happens when MC and ML are doing their own things separately), and a sleepy and calm pair when together. To "wake them up", they must perceive the other to be in danger - so the rebellious hosts noticed ML only cares about their cause because if he were to retire MC might be paired with somebody else and ML was like "No I dont want to be green" (cheated on LOL). meanwhile, if ML doesnt take care of his body MC gets angry. MC also wishes to act in ML's best interest. Of course, when ML discovers the possibility that MC has a human body he got so excited and was panting excitedly (but couldn't find the body cuz MC already took it away LOL). And when MC told him to stay put as if he's "locking him up" (because MC snuck ML to his home without telling other cat balls haha) ML got so excited his cheeks were red and he kept repeating with joy "really? Is this a dream?" And was like "since [im] being locked up, a chain should be added" LOL

All MLs are classified as "high-level threats" and abnormalities based on "The Prophets Book of Prophecies". However, its implied the Yu brothers who were sent by a system to monitor these villains in other worlds end up becoming couples and therefore, change the fate of both the villains' world, leading to ongoing peace in the Yu Brother's original world.
As for the MCs, the Yu Brothers were all picked up and adopted by the eldest (who is hilarious sunny character LMAO "from now on, you're my brother !"). Buuuut it turns out the eldest works for a government agency and is actually "monitoring" the brothers because they were all classified as high-risk dangerous individuals. I lowkey kind of wished this was explored, but the author keeps you guessing and left it kinda of an open ending (when the Prophecy book kept turning pages and the names of the brothers were grayed out -

Arc 1: i skipped it, but I like Yu Yan the doctor. Basically in the final "extra" chapters:
"He must have destroyed the world in his previous life, so he has to stay up late as a doctor in this life. He is so tired that he almost dies every day, and he has no interest in harmonious exercises."
LOL... and that is the closest to revealing the mysteries surrounding all the brothers. Its implied they have the potential to destroy the world, but because they grew up with the eldest (whose fate was changed from the beginning) they all grew up with love and care, and were capable of reforming the villainous husbands they meet. Maybe they all had a past life, but it isnt worth remembering or dwelling on for them.
Arc 2: i read this for the butterflies LMAO
ML: Feng Xuexiang "Ninth Uncle", as a child was bound to a mirror and hosts the illusion demon. Its powers manifest as deadly and beautiful purple butterflies - the downside is that the butterflies eat happy memories for nourishment, and only the negative feelings and trauma remain. On top of that, the host has to hibernate in winter and when he awakens in the spring he forgets all the people he loves, and the powers will gradually consume himself turning into a powerful shell until the next descendant of the exorcist family is chosen to transfer the power. Obviously with a dark and creepy backstory hes gonna be YANDERE. And yes, at first MC is taking care of his body cuz MC is used to being a healthcare caregiver for stroke/other patients. And when ML pulls MC into an illusion, MC is able to enter his spiritual world because MC was raised with love and care and has a clear heart (which makes me wonder what his "evil" past life was ??). Anyways, MC meets ML who is trapped on a platform surrounded by mud, and the "lillies" MC saw were actually the butterflies that would eat ML. MC would just dig around and find stuff in the mud to repurpose and use, catch the butterflies and hold them in a bag, and built a raft - he also carried ML and placed him on the raft to leave the illusion... ML meanwhile is very clingy and codependent on MC but u will understand that all the items in the mud were from his painful memories (for example, the chain was when he was chained and detained as a monster by his family, and the wood MC saw was a coffin). What i found fascinating was that ML is trapped between illusions and reality, and although he woke up safely with MC's help, the system numbers fluctuate - ML is sometimes clear (as in, grounded in reality between 50-90%) but hes able to influence his environment and people will see what he wants them to see.
MC: Yu Shi, the "motherly" brother (the eldest describes him as the glue that holds the family together because Yu Shi would insists they all eat together as a family awww). He's good with children, animals and elderly. (I loved the moment he calmed down and got along with the kid that ML tricked to get spiritual plum blossoms from LOL). He himself acknowledged he is codependent on ML too, because he needs to be needed. Previously, he kept boundaries with ML, but as they spent more time together and made promises, his heart opens up (ML is also inhumanity good looking which apparently... all the brothers are into flirting with dangerous men...?? LMAO). As he accepts more and more of ML (clinginess, touchiness, possessiveness etc), ML noticed that MC was willing to be deceived by him (because ML would create illusions. Before, MC wouldn't see it, but the turning point was "the beautiful lilles" MC saw on a clear lake. And also, a beautiful meadow of flowers MC loved when he was hospitalized and ML wanted him to feel better. ML also created illusions of MC to see his most loved one while he had a fever, but he hallucinated all his brothers faking care of him which was so cute). Also, ML loves MC so much, his butterflies (that do not harm MC as they are extensions of himself and his power) would fly out of him and flutter around MC or just land and chill on him LOL.
When they met again in Yu Brother's universe, the eldest intuitively picked Yu Shi to go meet Feng Xuexiang (dangerous individual who has awoken) and the moment their eyes met, Yu Shi saw a purple butterfly fly by.
So yeah, the author does a good job of writing romance and horror. And comedy LOL
Arc 5: Yu Guang (eldest) and Yu Yin/Silk Nest Demon "the youngest"
ML: Yu Yin is some sort of spiderlike demon who waits for prey to fall into his trap. To sum up: he couldn't beat the MC so he joins him LOL. MC understands him pretty well, cuz when ML almost killed somebody, MC was like "is it because they threw a mud ball at me and that made you angry?" LOL. The funniest part was when MC was trapped in a collapsed cave, ML basically goes rampant of turning corrupt officials into his puppets and spreading terror (while sparring innocent people), but his terrifying power scares his friends who are like "omg big brother come back too, this little bro is too scary!!!" LOLOL. The most hilarious part is that ML traps MC into a dream where they are getting married, and although MC is kinda confused, he just goes along with it until his friend is like "This is wrong!!" (Because in reality, the wedding stuff was already pre-ordered and not prepared last minute like the dream of ML Lololol this leads to ML being bitter that nobody told him everybody had prepared in advance for when the two decide to get married, and MC is surprised nobody was surprised when he announced their intention to marry LMAO). Of course, ML is possessive and wants to be special to MC whom he sees as a giant bright light (due to a meritous soul).
MC: Yu Guang is a righteous hero (same energy as Rengoku from demon slayer, likes to be called eldest brother LMAO, definitely a shounen protagonist). He's firm and tolerant. Supports ML is eating evil demons and is confident is suppressing ML. Also raises ML as a brother, but after the dream he realizes he doesn't reject the idea of marriage and also he loves the happy smile ML had (when ML was anticipating their marriage). It was hilarious on the wedding night that ML felt MC would be dense and just go to sleep or run around, but MC actually took out jars of ointment and bottomed because he was told the bottom is likely to get sick and he himself is strong LOL (even ML was speechless). The next day the crew though ML bottomed and gave him medicinal soup, but he kept pushing it to MC who drank it and was nonchalantly like "no need for this, it's Just a minor injury " LOL
In Yu Guang's world (because his existence and changes protect the world and made it peaceful), ML woke up from an ancient tomb and although it's implied their memories were gone, the feelings remain as MC was like "From now on, you're my brother!" Again and nobody was surprised when they got married (again) years later LOL.
Again, kinda disappointed there was a lot of buildup for the brothers as "high-risk" and dangerous threats, but the author leaves it to ur imagination based on their current personalities and skills. However, it's confirmed Yu Guang was renamed "Justice Leader", so it might have been implied or unclear that he could have walked a different path, but because of the power of re-naming (Guang and Justice), he seemed to have been born/rewritten as a righteous hero and changed everyone's fates LOL

When MC escapes successfully (after witnessing butler ML looking at his soiled underwear LOL) he gets slammed with all the sensations his counterparts experience... and the arcs get even more sexier LOLOLOL Im wondering if ML is getting stronger or he's just so obsessed with MC that hes abusing his power to make MC powerless??
MC: Chi Yu, who has a serious lovebrain for Gu Wen Qiao in the real world (he was going to confess but decides not too cuz he isnt sure when he might die and thought it would be unfair to the hot and handsome ML... meanwhile ML's dreams are centered around MC and ML has very wicked desires LOL). In the nightmare/other world, MC kind of thinks the NPCs arent the same, but... well... I also found the concept of sanity points interesting in this novel. I didn't like him at first cuz the first impression wasn't that great, but as he finds MC charming and cute (he fell hard when MC smiled happily at him with dimples) and he finds himself attracted and possessive of MC (he gets jealous and overprotective- especially when other men messed with/scared/touched MC)... after they slept together (cuz MC drugged him and regretted it) he kept MC by his side and MC dreamt he rebelled so MC decides to hug his thighs (and he is powerful and smart - he uses the emperor). ML actually got so jealous (cuz MC was having fun playing with an eunuch who treats him like a little brother/kid) ML convinces MC to take a nap and proceeds to lock him upppp LOLOL yeah ML went YANDERE lololol. He initially planned to use MC as a pawn, but MC becomes queen ~ haha (I think MC's smile drew him in, and MC's clumsy seduction and flirting, like eating cake from his hand under the table sealed the deal LOL).
MC: Xueya. Actual green tea LOLOL even the author was like "this is my dumbest protagonist " LOL - Xueya is foolish and silly and misunderstands based on the past life that many men are into ML (without understanding the underlying political intrigue going on). Hes beautiful, and the men are charmed by his beauty, as well as his simple character- he approaches powerful men and they can tell he's being a gold digger LOLOL. Hes also able to please them (especially ML, ML likes seeing what tricks MC will do, and ML likes the affection of being called gege and being hugged by MC.)
Other MLs... the prime Minister (Yin Qingxuan) almost r*pes MC so the emperor has him confined at home for a bit... (later he's a 2-3rd ML who helps MC even though he almost killed and r*ped MC again at some point... I forgive him in the end because he usually saves MC from the emperor's madness when ML wasnt around - for example, he covered MC in his fox fur coat when MC was locked up in a cold room and forgotten by the emperor, and he thwarted the emperor's scheme by switching out poison so that MC wouldnt die). MC thinks the emperor Cui Ling is a bottom (LOLOL), and although the emperor bullied him in the beginning MC forgets the ab*se and covets the power (and gold) the emperor has and tries to curry favor even though he knows he died trying in his first life. Anyways this 2nd ML Cui Lang (who calls MC "broken rabbit" in his heart) does go crazy with madness especially after figuring out ML and MC are having an affair LOL. He tries to destroy MC's reputation and forces MC to be his "demon concubine" (ML managed to escape and plot rebellion). In a way... ML's scheme to use MC as a honey trap came true, but ML almost paid the price because MC almost dies many times... The general saved MC and is also subtly charmed by MC's damsel-in-distress situations LOL but the general is ML's bro so it gives off vibes of protecting his future sister-in-law.
LOLOL its well written. Although the novel has MC's unreliable narration, he is a simple green tea aware of his own status/limitations and chooses to seduce men to fight for his own better life (he explained himself to one of the MLs that it's the path he has to take due to his background - born to a prostitute, raised in a brothel... its the only path in life he understands and he isn't capable of scheming, he doesn't believe he has other choices than to rely on men to survive). He legit says to ML (because he still wants ML's protection even though he plans to seduce the emperor LOL:
Anyway, He Xulan likes him, so isn't it enough to give him some sweet treats? As for the bottom line, it must not be crossed.
Thinking of this, Xueya's expression became more pitiful, "I'm just afraid."

Xueya grabbed He Xulan's hand and pressed it against her face, her little fox eyes wet, "I have a poor background, I'm not very smart, and all I have is this body. Update: im digging the toxicity LOL. So Xueya (MC) was almost r*ped by "queen" Lei who threatened to expose his relationship with He Xulan. He Xulan of course manipulated events using MC as a honey trap to catch "queen " Lei by the emperor Cui Lang. MC confronts ML and ML was cold (probably insanely jealous but unwilling to admit it) and he mocks MC "are you worthy of like?" MC of course feels deceived... time passes (MC was demoted and punished) and MC gets the opportunity to seduce the emperor but ohhhhh hes looking around hoping He Xulan sees him hugging and emperor (maybe wanting to provoke jealousy~) and ooooo it turns out ML acting cold and distant was a ruse because he secretly protects MC (even though he uses him like a chess piece, he ends up caring for MC). So even though MC is suffering, ML makes it up to him later. And like, even MC tried using ML before sooo im really digging their dynamic LOL
And I like Xueya, yeah he's a green tea b*tch, but he isn't one dimensional as an actual cannon fodder character and the author does a good job making him relatable and worth cheering for (because the author cares about him!). Sure he falls for his own traps, but it was really heartbreaking when he reflected about his own background - he wanted to bring himself and his mother out of poverty, and when she fell sick he begged and got money to treat her but the doctor refused due to discrimination against prostit**es and refused to treat "dirty disease". Mc's money is stolen by another beggar, and as he begged the doctor for compassion he wasnt around when his mother passed away leaving him traumatized because he lost his mother and money and was left with nothing. This trauma explains his obsession with securing gold (because his mother wanted to instill practicality to him at a young age) and so when he and ML separated by accident it triggered his trauma (and he lost the box of gold ML gave him). His other trauma resurfaced when ML locked him up due to possessiveness and jealousy - MC was scared of ML because it reminded him of the time the brothel owner locked him up. On the flip side... it was adorable ML used MC's love of gold to cheer him up by placing pieces of gold and watching MC buried in a blanket "swallow-up" the gold LOL. The other MLs didn't understand MC well enough to coax him as effectively.

ML: (I'll keep his real name a secret)... has multiple personalities (likely a side of effect of splitting his soul due to potential destruction born from evil thoughts. In each arc, his soul is usually split between being both a protagonist and a villain). As a YANDERE or when he goes YANDERE OFF THE RAILS for MC, hes usuallg a very compelling character. He is written as a s*um villain, but has a full backstory and reasons for his madness and cruelty... so far I really like arc 4 the most since it was easier to forgive him as MC felt the path to romance was smoother compared to the other previous lives... (the MLs and MC in arc 4 were able to peacefully cohabitate for a bit LMAO). I havent read far enough to understand why ML couldnt truly cherish or love MC while MC was unconscious vs when MC couldnt hide his true self... ML only really fell in love with MC when MC seduced him to break free from his control. ML develops strong possessive desires for MC, and in each arc you'll notice the world would increasingly surround MC and more characters would be obsessed with him likely because ML noticed MC more and more (maybe ML split his souls even more? Or his favour towards MC influenced the direction of the plot??)
It's just hard for his father to face such a complicated father alone, and those evil thoughts are always jealous. Their memories are also connected, after all, they are the same person. - Momo (their son) impression of ML to MC... basically all the MLs were evil thoughts that could destroy the world, so ML was sealed in "prison" and his evil thoughts (and parts of his soul) turned into realm masters. I'm unsure if this was self-inflicted, as he would have inner conflict with his own soul and commit self-cest to MC's grief LOL. But like, his usual demeanor is like his gentle versions, but at night a different personality ("evil thought") takes over... basically all won't let MC go. They are pretty similar to each other, and the subtle differences would be referencing their world (for example, Shao Ge would give their son pink clothes LOL).
MC: Shen Jue, trapped in réincarnations of suffering due to offending a powerful person. To break free, the rhealm master of the worlds has to die AND willing to let his soul go reincarnate (as in, the ML must love MC enough to let him move on, otherwise MC is doomed to relive the life). I like the author's deep understanding of her characters and each bad ending is fresh. I also root for MC, and although MC seemed indifferent, he mentally breaks down sometimes and suffers depression and anxiety because he really can't bear what he has become. He was disgusted with himself for "spreading his legs" - basically loaths himself for using his body to seduce and sleep with multiple men to escape "prison" (not realizing it's ML's split personalities). MC's emotional scenes kept me going - he is human, and desperately wants to return to heaven and reunite with his family. He also used to sincerely love some of MLs personalities, but without remembering his memories/awakenkng his true self, his reincarnated self would end up betrayed which made him vengeful and fueled his motivations to kill ML (except, ML willingly dies for MC). It also makes it hard for me to pity ML because MC is more pitiful - ML doesn't seem interested or falls for MC until MC awakens and acts differently from his reincarnated versions. Kind of sad... it's almost as if ML cannot love the other versions of MC, but MC is forced to accept MLs sick and pe*verted personalities LOL.
Arc 1 MLs: Murong Xiu & Ni Xinyan... I like young Ni Xinyan before blackening the most - he was so charismatic and sweet with MC and took him away to protect him from the ab*se, very different from his villain Regent era where he was obsessed with revenge. Murong Xiu goes YANDERE due to love-hate for MC and destroys Ni Xinyan's face like how MC destroyed his face in the 1st time-line .. and more schemes
Arc 2: Yu Ci and Sang Xinghe. I kind of like Yu Ci's narcissistic side who assumed MC likes him because MC gave him a head massage that cured his insomnia and LOL (he also calls MC little dwarf). When both MLs shared one body, it felt like a glimpse into the truth of ML's identity and foreshadows the ending a bit... I didn't really like Sang Xinghe much since he killed MC easily in the previous reincarnations before MC awakened. Their chess playing scene was adorable though, since MC discovered he s**ked at chess LOL.
Arc 3 MLs: Yu Qing and Qiao Jiangyuan (and maybe Ye Ye? Sometimes there are side characters who are more interested in MC than into the MLs... or it could just reflect MLs unconscious obsession with MC???). MC's revenge on Yu Qing felt more planned out and calculated (in the other arcs, MC was forced to wait for opportunities to arrive. In this arc, MC laid the trap for ML to jump into to play with his heart). MC successfully deceived the MLs into thinking he never loved him (although its true, MC lied and lead ML to believe MC loved his other servant. At least in the first arc, MC told ML the world is fake). The extra chapter made it bittersweet - MC's suffering in the "first timeline" repeated itself, except from the MLs POV of seeking revenge... is this arc the most toxic behavior ML is capable of? Idk LOLOL
Arc 4 MLs: Ji Yao and Shao Ge. Both of them were fleshed out very well. MC was under the assumption Ji Yao brainwashed Shao Ge, but turns out they were ex-boyfriends LOLOL (MC was probably unaware the whole arc???). And MC and Shao Ge have a better relationship in this lifetime (it seemed that unconscious MC suffered from low self-esteem and due to communication issues, ML neglected MC during his pregnancy and birth and then took the baby away thinking MC wasn't a good parent because he saw MC chained the baby... for safety issues, but he misunderstood MC and left with his "love".) Ji Yao was my favorite villain so far, because he was understandably crazy and the author wrote him very well LOL although he kidnaps MC and forces him to dress up in women's clothing, he was the least physically abusive compared to other ML's past selves which makes him slightly more likeable LOLOL
Arc 5 MLs: Wen Yurong and Shi Zhou. Just like other MLs, when Shi Zhou loves he loves wholeheartedly and in abundance, vs heartless when not in love (as MC experienced in many lives before remembering his true identity). Both went YANDERE off the rails when MC killed himself out of despair, and while Shi Zhou manipulated events to become MC's spouse, Wen Yurong kidnaps MC (after MC felt trapped and took a walk into a plum blossom forest) and he fed MC shady medicine erasing his memories - dayum so Yandere LMAO. This author writes the best yanderes hahaha. Wen Yurong, a genius prodigy, commits double su*cide with MC when MC escaped his control, so MC took the opportunity to ask Shi Zhou to die with them to destroy the realm. In this world, MC almost figured out the MLs are the same person but then he's like "these two being the same soul is really weird " so he dismisses the thought LOL.
Arc 6 MLs: Fu Jiuyin, Xue Wenchun, Jie/Xie Chen and Jiang Yunji (less likely to be ML's soul shard, but was possessed by Xue Wenchun which enhanced feelings of possessiveness towards MC driving him crazy with jealousy over MC's attention towards Fu Jiuyin and Jie/Xie Chen). Most haunting moment was when MC had PTSD of being r*ped by Xue Wenchun in front of his followers - he remembered "they were all laughing, only one was crying... it was himself". And MC had his moment of regrets and hating himself for doing things he doesn't like/want to do (mostly, hurting others in order to achieve his goal of breaking the illusions). The ending was heartbreaking because MC and ML have a final battle and MC tears out ML's golden elixir (lifeforce) but doesn't use it, instead he tosses it and walks away and all the MLs assumed MC was seeking revenge for being used as bait and tossed/sacrificed. ML (fox form) didn't even realized he loved MC until Jie Chen died because he had sealed his capacity to love to avoid a love tribulation (which explained why he was so uncaring and heartless when MC died in the past life). I love the extra written for the arc (which kind of seems like as if a piece of MC's soul was left behind? Or, maybe ML wasn't ready to let go of MC yet, but because MC wasnt in any danger his true memories weren't triggered to be unsealed). Basically extras were "Travel Squirrel Diary" where the MLs are reborn and cherish/agressively flirt with oblivious MC and MC finally lives a carefree squirrel life (without being forced to destroy himself to transform into a dragon, as he accidentally did in the main storyline). Sure it seemed Mary Sue ish, but I like how the MLs didn't ab*se him (compared to MC needing to be strong to have ML's attention which was sad...) honestly MC dying without ML caring to save him was heartbreaking in the first time-line because MC spent decades caring for him but his evil self tore MC apart and he only cared about himself. The extra life... I like that it stays platonic because MC was still very young and had reverted to his innocent squirrel self and ML was still hung up on and pining after MC's revenge body (dragon transformation with his true beautiful face LOL). MC's innocence is so sweet

I dislike ML and I noticed that the reincarnations have MC loving ML and being hurt by his split souls where ML chooses himself/his own souls. What a narcissist, MC deserves better, and Im worried ML will awaken crazy obsessed with MC due to the memories of over 1000 years...
Arc 7 MLs: Shang Yanyu, Shang Jiayu, Yao Zhen. MC hasnt met Shang Yanyu in his past life, so the romance was very exciting - MC would cross paths with a mysterious handsome alpha and wonder if this is the realm master (yepp MC's intuition was spot-on). Shang Yanyu played the perfect lover, and MC figured out he was insecure and testing the relationship because his own family is broken. Although the past life had a scary bad ending (MC was tricked by Shang Jiayu and was forced to non-consent body modification surgery and forced to be a surrogate mother for Shang Yanyu whom he never met and Yao Zhen his ex-fiance) There's many moments where there was genuine affection. Theres a scene where Shang Yanyu was f*cking MC and he knew Shen Jue didnt want to so it, so when MC teared up and broke down crying silently (due to trauma and also being tired of living...) ML stopped and comforted him which reminded MC of his master in the real world... my favorite part was MC confronting ML:
His voice was a little light, as if he was tired. "Shang Yanyu, don't pretend. If you feel tired of it, we can separate. Honesty is more important, isn't it? You can lie to me, you can lie to anyone, but you don't have to lie to yourself."
This impressed me because it really highlights MC's soft-heartedness. Yes, ML is MC's target and key to breaking free, but MC treats him as a living person and takes the romantic relationship seriously. MC doesn't forgive cheating and betrayal, and even MC felt he has become a part of the world (not just immersered in a role). This arc was one of my favorites too, similar to the zombie apocalypse world, MC didn't have to kill ML himself because ML died protecting him (and MC didnt calculate or manipulate events, it just happened - maybe ML subconsciously wanted to make it easier for MC? It's too much of a good timing for the car accident to happen LOL). The romance in this one was the most natural - yes ML and MC deliberately approached each other with ulterior motives, but the pretense became real and MC was sincerely touched (he held the dying ML and placed a lily in ML's arms, which is so tender and a very different treatment from the times he walked away from a dying ML LOL)
Arc 8 MLs: Lin Chuyan, Xie Zhi (yandere for Lin Chuyan). Lin Chuyan progresses into a YANDERE OFF THE RAILS - first he treats MC as a substitute and mistakes MC as a prostitute (he gets jealous when MC goes around admiring beauties everywhere), and he chains MC with an ankle bracelet either with 1 or 18 bells (he alternates to locate MC). Then he finds out MC slept with/was r*ped by Xie Zhi and eventually coldly dumps his best friend and kills and skins him because he MC's skin is damaged and needed replacement... he went crazy when MC went missing and probably thinks his friend kidnapped his lover so he sought revenge wtf LOL. So anyways the ending of the world is closer to the truth, and MC had to remind himself its fake (even though he develops a genuine friendship with Lu Zhidao). MC gambles and succeeds in a double su*cide with ML - ML still gathers his soul to reincarnate him and follows him to a world where MC (who has forgotten everything) grows up in a loving family and having a relatively peaceful life. The irony is that the "servants" who wanted to seduce ML were also reincarnated (? I assume cuz the names were the same) and they were crushing on MC in the reincarnated world LOL. MC mistook ML as the husband he left behind and accidentally calls him husband LOL.
Real world/upper realm - the revenge battle was fleshed out (MC infiltrates the palace and ML supports him from the background. It kind of implies ML woke up when MC escaped his prison, and MC is probably the reason ML's "evil thoughts" haven't gone rampant and destroyed the world). The "normal ending" keeps it open after MC left his sect and kills the perpetrator for revenge. If you don't read the extras, it resembles a no CP ending.
If you read extras - they get together in the true ending. Although MC didnt want to owe ML anything once they left the fake worlds, MC was tired of living and hated himself, but ML's warm hand reaching out and grabbing him did touch him deeply. MC also stayed alive because their son Momo depended on him. Finally, MC acts cold, but he does care for ML and accidentally accepted ML's courtship LOL. MC also realizes he and ML's fate were entangled the moment MC fell from grace into ML's prison...
If you read the final extra, the villain causing MC's predicament gets his karma. Just like how MC suffered, the villain ended up losing everything and having to sell his body to survive, but is sl*t-shamed and treated like a dirty object. He wasn't strong enough to withstand the powerlessness. He's also pitiful because he's also a victim of r*pe...

Arc 1: MC and the ML meet-cute was basically MC sick and delirious passed out on "a warm cushion" I'm a cabinet- turns out he fell asleep on ML as children when they were kidnapped LOL. The whole arc was a sweet childhood sweetheart story of a trio of friends... MC was expecting ML and the other ML to fall in love as destined, but they both secretly love him. The ending was tragic - ML spirals into a YANDERE because MC kept him in the dark about his terminal disease, so ML kidnaps him and MC was wondering if he was r*ped, but also thinks a man being r*ped isnt illegal WHAT!???? How was this just skimmed???? Anyways MLs mental state deteriorates as MC's family bans him from the funeral and visiting the home, so he loses everything he built up and waits for MC's letters of "pretending to live well" and forms a contract becoming a transmigrator
Arc 2: MC is a captive beauty with disabled legs... Xu Jiangzhe is the childhood friend that wouldn't let him go and let his parents become MC's guardians and restrict his freedom in a villa with tall iron gates. The servants are deceived and are led to believe MC is ungrateful (even though MC is clearly being kept under control and not allowed freedom to contact lawyers etc). The sub-ML (Xu Jiangzhe)'s parents are greedy for MC's inheritance, while he is greedy for MC's beauty~ true ML is Fang Ruoming. He subconsciously remembers MC and gives him cantaloupe and felt hurt when MC rejected it (MC got PTSD when he smelt and saw cantaloupe because it reminded him of ML who drugged and r*ped him in the first world...). This arc portrayed MC's depression and resilience quite well, because he was locked up, controlled, powerless to fight back and had no system to entertain him - he was colder to the Xu family and didn't have Stockholm Syndrome because he understood they are bad to him - when the true ML helps him escape, MC contacts lawyers to sue the Xu family and the law firms that were bribed by them. It also represented people who have faced obstacles while disabled pretty well - MC at first had a difficult time coping with losing the ability to walk and be independent, and he unfortunately experienced the awkwardness of needing help from untrained non-professionals, and faced discrimination from the servants in a place that should have been home. I found the author did a good job fleshing out MC's emotions and the realism of his discomfort.
Arc 3 is very good - MC and ML are surviving peacefully in the zombie apocalypse. MC almost recognized ML but when ML decided to control himself and discussed moving with MC for MC's sake MC was like "lol nah can't be him, he would rather confine me haha" quote is here:
"However, although these two people have some habits and coincidences, it seems that it is definitely impossible for one person to do so. Because of that person's paranoid temperament, he would never take the initiative to move to the survivor base in this situation. What he is more likely to do is to confine himself here forever."

As for the side couple the dynamic is like tsundere baddie sister protective of the silly sweet sister x golden retriever with a motorcycle who loves to tease and follow his tsundere queen XD it was adorable when he asks MC if she knows him so she calls him "future brother-in-law!" LOL).
