The main protagonist (Nan Zhou) makes this memorable, overall, as an infinite flow etc. even if sometimes he is a little ooc (and i wish the author spent less time explaining his backstory/doing flash back part way through). The type of novel that moves along, chapters sort of fly, short and easy to consume (except the part where it lagged due to the flash backs backstory etc. but i mean as a whole). Also the narration is 3rd person far, and the narration often has the characters keep things from the reader or cut off mid perspective. I really didnt like certain points. Like when jiang fang plays dumb about the past. And many of all the flashbacks.
