My second most favourite unlimited flow novel. Not close to the perfection that EIO, Thriller trainee and Card Room reached. It has a plot so long it gets boring after a point, leaving readers questioning what was the point of last 50 chapters. My first cn school life romcom book was TBBLF and I was surprised by how much I loved it considering there was not much of an overarching plot. Unfortunately after that none of the school books quite measured up to that standard and they got very repetitive, so I left the genre for a long while until this book. Many people say it's basically fmc version of EIO. First I would like to say its an amazing novel. It does give the same vibe but it has aspects better and worse than EIO . Better part is that it's more satisfying coz it's longer and games are not so tough that you get brain damage. Very interesting games with great character arcs. Worse part is the last arc of the book could have been done much better. World competitions didn't give the urgency and tension they should have given and the fmc was too op. The first cn novel of my life. The novel that started it all. It is very cliché. Has overused tropes. Characters are very black and white. But I quite remember not wanting to keep it down despite not sleeping at all during night.It has nothing worth remembering still it is fairly memorable. The events even though not unique satisfied me. A very nice break when you just don't want complicated worlds and realistic characters. It's been so so long since I read a uf that made it to my top lists. Coz I read the great ones like TEIO, WTNL,TT, etc. In recent times only two novels have been able to reach the sky high bar the og novels had set. One is TIHYBD and the other one is this. The thing I take issue with in uf novels is that they try to achieve too much world building in too little chapters which results in a lackluster book which failed the potential it had. This book was decently long but it fulfilled all the expectations-good central plot, reasonably fun games and a good cast. Please don't be discouraged... more>>

This novel is far from perfect. There is so much that could have been done better. The personality of ml is too bland. The card descriptions are too detailed. The story was stretched too long . These things if done better,might have transformed this book into legend status. The reason this book is on this list is because the concept is very original and exhilarating. The progression is very exciting and there is nothing currently available that is quite like it or have a similar concept. It was easily one of the most memorable books I have read . I was debating on what basis to add this book, when even significantly better books like Fourth Perspective didnt make the cut. Slice of life can often come off boring after a certain no. of chapters and this is the usual transmigrated mc × general/prince of another planet type of romance. The only non-gory uf I liked. Mix of light unlimited flow and fantasy school .It's a very fun read with a nice pace .One might think it's all over the place characters will make it overwhelming but it was managed well. A classic e-sports novel with the general 5-member team tower break play. The mc comes in, saves the team and wins championship along with ml. But what makes it better than its contemporaries 'I can do it' and 'glory' (which are equally good just nothing stand out) , is the added theme of abo world ,which makes this story a memorable read. Wife chasing crematorium. For all my psycho toxic ml loving people and those who want to enter this genre. This one is on the light side of this genre. It is different from usual because our mc has a powerful mentality, successful career and is not easily manipulated by the coercion of ml. It is one of my favourite book of SQC 188 cm series coming only second to the book 'Sissy'(I love it but it's on the hardcore side). SQC is truly the peak of this trope.... more>>

@Justmepassingby so it's a theme where the protagonist is usually unliked/underestimated by society , who proves his/her worth by improving/succeeding successively. Along the way the MC is joined by weird or disgraced people to help achieve a goal and the team form a pseudo family kind of situation. There is often a romantic subplot and common tropes are a scifi intersteller competition (#1), apocalypse setting(#2), unlimited flow(#3, #15). Either life, respect or power are on stake in these kinds of novels where in the end the MC and the team together wins.
Hope you were able to get what I was trying to explain. Iam clearly not good at it!
@nimi_gdl I don't think I get it fully hahah but perhaps you'll like 'Apocalypse Lord'? Its more like teamwork than found family tho. They just do what they need to. MC is a landlord so there's also kingdom building. (From the same author, you can also checkout 'Interstellar Pharmacist', I find the FL amazing there)
'Being a Koi in a Survival Game' is unlimited flow and its really good imo but there's only 122 chappies translated here.
I don't know if I have more, sorry but these are the ones I thought of immediately.
