Basically a collection of short stories with lots of face-slapping. There is an overarching plot, but 6 arcs in and it is very minor. It is a fun read, even if all the arcs feel rushed and there is no sense of danger since the main character is so over-powered. He is always the best at everything (smartest, strongest, best scholar, best singer, best composer), this series truly likes to deal in hyperbole, the MC has no parallel. They give a reason for this (all his previous reincarnations as a villain), but it just has the effect on the reader of not feeling excitement since you know he is going to be ok regardless of... more>> circumstances, and it also makes us roll our eyes when he succeeds tremendously in every incarnation.

That being said, so far it is still pretty fun to read, since the world setting changes continuously and it is fun to see the two main characters get together again and again.  <<less

Another QT novel. I don't know how I feel about it yet. I just finished the first arc and it was just mehh. The stories only work because the ML is such a simp for the MC. To the point he twists every action (negative or positive) that the MC does in a way that paints him in a positive light.... more>>
