As long as hamster spirit Shu Shu can survive the lightning tribulation, then his cultivation will be able to turn him into a human. In the end, the lightning tribulation strikes him and he arrives in the… future?

In order to avoid people and being mistaken for a monster, Shu Shu decides to dig a hole in the forest to hide and live, and as a result… a very big snake aaaahhhh! Please, don’t eat me!

Had to come back after reading to say some good things- this was a really cute and sweet novel. Not really angsty at all IMO and had some satisfying face-slapping.

I don't see where some of the negativity towards this story comes from... but I also just live this kind of book. It's a fantasy and MC is not even human... I think it was a great telling of a story of what might happen if a little hamster cultivator and a snake beastman fell in love! Also baby Shu Shu... more>> is so cute~

he is a hamster who lived hundred years in wild and even though he was with humans after he was just like pet so he didn't learn much, there are no plotholes, like the idea that Shu Shu when became a spirit he obtain logic but didn't became inteligent and just has great memory and information about cultivation

ML is expressive in his thoughts and worries, their romance is cute, and there is an clearly inteligent villain so the novel has a little bit of excitement. <<less

The info dump on random tech and random things that boost the appeal of the MC/ML for no reason was a bit annoying and hard to read. It was quite cute and interesting while they were still in the forest but once they reached the Capitol, it was one thing after another. I got so annoyed by how the sub beastmen were characterized, like there was no one with any redeeming aspects aside from MC and Jones. This novel is just pure cute and with a nice plot. I love the way MC is. Shu Shu is just so cute, and Edgar is the man we all want. If you expect something like power couple but in a soft and cute way, this pair is. And the way author narrated shu shu thoughts are just so fun to read.

Honestly not sure how to rate. It's not an amazing or especially great work, there's some questionable moments, heavy suspension of disbelief at some moments is needed, the villains or issues they run into are mostly kinda easily resolved, there are some plot holes...

buuuuut despite all that, I really enjoyed the story. It was engaging and kept me interested in what happens next. The arcs were distinct and did not drag on, which has made me drop some highly rated works before. There was both humorous and funny moments that... more>> made me chuckle at the antics of the characters, as well as some deeper and more profound, and also sad moments, were I actually wanted to cry.

I liked the characters, even if, there isn't a serious character development, there is still quite decent character journey with different issues the MC and ML had to go through. The side characters were interesting and I enjoyed immensely all the extras about the family and friends, which, honestly, I usually don't read in most cases.

Overall, this is a decent read, it is not gonna rock your world, but if you are looking for something light and fluffy, but also entertaining and engaging, then this is a good book. <<less

I didn't rate it because I only got to chapter 62, but if I did it would only be a 2.

I feel like I'm missing something, so many people hyped this book and the reviews are so high, I'm confused.

This book is just not for me.

I don't mind niave characters as long as they aren't completely s*upid and weak, but honestly I couldn't find many redeeming qualities about the MC. MC was alive for a long time and soaked in a lot of modern knowledge from TV and his... more>> owners, I don't buy it that he is completely s*upid about things.

The ML is also a little off, he is 30 and wants the 16 year old looking, obedient, niave MC.... comes off a slightly creepy to me.

The whole novel reads in a slightly misogynistic tone, even if all are men, it just put the sub beasts in modern day woman roles. Everything is so superficial.

I did really like the beginning and thought the MC had room to grow, was looking forward to his growth. I also liked that the MC did seem to realize his feelings with his friends help, that part was handled better than most danmei.

The translation was good, no complaints. I just can't continue on with the novel. <<less

I really love this setting of cultivation + beastman + interstellar, it's my first time reading a novel with these settings in one.

I felt that MC and ML were very consistent as well. MC wasn't just "magically" cured of his fear later on.

MC's fear of snakes is very understandable considering he is and has been living as a hamster for hundreds of years. It was definitely not easy for him to conquer his instinctual fear of his species' natural predator, poor ML. But our MC worked hard to conquer his fear bit by bit, and by the end he was able to stand his ground and not run away *immediately! 😅 The extras were also really fun! Although I felt the author was more partial to the 2nd prince's story, I was hoping to know more about little snake, and Jesse & Bruno!

Translator did a great job! I was sceptical to read at first since it said MTL but apart from some minor grammatical errors I didn't have any difficulty reading this at all. 😃 If you're really looking to read a fluffy/funny story don't pass this up! It also didn't drag on for too long which was just right for me. 👌 <<less

I read this a long time ago and loved it. Recently, I reread it and I still love it!

The main character is a cute and lovable hamster who can turn into a human. Don't expect too much from him because he's not very smart, but his kind and clever in his own way.

This was my first time to read a story about beast men in a futuristic setting, which I thought was very fresh and new.

Stopped reading at 104 as main story was pretty much wrapped up and I wanted to move to another novel to read. Wonderful relaxing read tho even with the spikes of chaos.

MC is definitely a airhead most of the time but at least he can retain most information he learns haha.

this is such a cute and fluffy and light read 😩❤️ I love the comedy, the main characters, world building, story as well as the side stories! I enjoy reading this very much that I'm either always smiling or laughing because of shushu's antics. Overall, this is a fluffy must read!!

We all have different taste, I understand that, so you also need to understand that if this is not your cup of tea, please just don't read this and give this such a low rating saying that the protagonist is s*upid or weakling... PLEASE!! JUST STOP READING IF IT DOESN'T SUIT YOUR TASTE!! THIS NOVEL IS GREAT AS IT IS.

Oh nooooo! I don't want this story to end! *Sigh*

If you really want to be in a very good mood or just wanted to break away from noir/tragedy novels, here it is you guys!!! Full of fluff and lots of funny moments that you can't help but giggle and grin from time to time. Don't expect angst or too complicated plot twist because it doesn't exist here at all!lol

All the gongs in this novel are doting and powerful, they spoiled their shou to the max especially Edgar. I love Shu... more>> Shu so much, he's such a sweety until the end but not the push over type. He's naive and can easily be deceived with food (of course only his Edgar can do that!). I love Shu Shu and Edgar's journey from the start to finish, their story and the story of their children and also the side characters are connected and they become one big family. *Wink*

AND not to mention the baby eggs and when they hatched! OMG they're so adorable! Arghhh! I want to have one! Lmao

Anyway, read the tags first and if you're looking for something deep this is definitely not for you. <<less

it was such a sweet story. I finished it in 2 days and frankly I was never bored!! I thought I would get bored especially at the beginning of the story, But actually the story was a very satisfying plot.

I definitely recommend reading Things don't go slow, not too fast. Totally right.I swear you'll never be bored..

I finished it and oh boy it was great! (For me)

The plot immediately caught my eyes. The main CP and side CP's are so cute.

Shu shu lives in a planet that only has males. The males are split into two "genders" beastmans and sub-beastmans.

I give this a four star. The story flows nicely however there are some points that seems to be not descriptive or should have been present more.

Although the world is interesting it only touches upon some elements like the cultivation, how they view of gender, and social issues.

Things that I really feel like is lacking was that this species has what was called innate abilities which was a story device to make MC skill a lot more convenient to explain. However they are only present if the main characters uses... more>> their capabilities and none was shown in battles. Not even ML was described using his original innate skills (except his cultivation skills). Which I found rather disappointing.

Overall it's an okay story but it does feel pretty engaging. They also have pretty interesting side story even though one of the arcs is just filler (a pretty pointless one).

If you don't mind with a bit of Mary sue ish MC but is pretty likable. I think this story is a decent time waster. <<less

Just read it!

Nice, fluffy, HE, watch Shu Shu reaching the pinnacle of life!!!

Shu Shu is very charming and cute and naïve, but he's also straightforward.

One of the strong points and also a conflict point is how the novel deal with Shu Shu's identity.

It was a very fun reading.

MC and ML have some minor miscommunications around gifting beast cores, but those resolve fast enough not to bother me (and some misunderstandings are expected seeing as MC is literally new the world).
