Jiang Dao died extremely heroically in the apocalyptic world war. He never thought that he would have a chance to open his eyes again.

He traveled through, into a danmei book he had read, and became a vicious villain in the book.

Jiang Dao thought to himself: “After more than ten years of fighting for my life in the last days, I’m tired, so what am I fighting for? It’s better to be a vase. Use my face to finish the brokerage contract, and then find a corner in the world with beautiful scenery and live a peaceful life of growing vegetables, cooking, and raising cats and dogs…”

So, he returned the role that the original owner had snatched from the protagonist shou on the spot.

Unexpectedly, in the variety show that started shooting the next day, Jiang Dao performed a shoulder toss and threw the current number one kung fu actor, Chu Yinlong, to the ground.

Chu Yinlong: Boy, you have successfully caught my attention. My new movie, the villain, can fight, you come.

Jiang Dao: …Sorry, I’m just a vase.

Definitely worth to read. The previous comments already summarised the quality of this novel so I only say that the romance is built up well, the chemistry works as it should. The emotions are described well, and it's refreshing to see an MC coping a down to earth way with his attraction to ML.

Story is pretty rememberable and fluffy. Interesting chara and backgrounds too, as well as great potrayal of variety shows.

1. It lacks the writing of plot where there's reaction from netizens about the films. Like it's just briefly describe and never mentioned again, it's not really a bad thing but it would make the story more fun to read knowing the netizens reactions towards a certain scene in the movies/ shows he played.

2. What happened to lin chu?? The guy he saved from crocodile, it might be me who missed a plot, but I feel like there's a brief hint from his involvement with the MC that he is going to do something as a cannon fodder but it didn't make it in the story.

Well that's all :v it's still gold for me though.

MC is from apocalypse and the plot of his emotional development is nice with no plotholes for me, MC is a dominant bottom and ML is submissive top with a bit of dominant energy, MC is the horniest and straightforward, there are no s*x euphemism but there are some details in which I made such conclusion, their love is nice paced and not dragged, in the start of the novel is more inclined in comedy, love that ogMC and ogML are nice people and are toghether also it's just that they are not mentioned much, now is more of a spoiler, love that they adopted a military dog as their child and in last chapter is the dog perspective in which is nice written "ever after".

Also don't think it's a hard one it's actually an easy and relaxing novel, I know myself then the review is something like this you will think it will be very tangled and heavy, but rest assured everything will be good an problem are faced straightforward. <<less

It was nice! Refreshing fun, light-hearted. Don't think too much about it, and the CP dynamic is likable so I have no complaints. It's not like it's doing something out of the box, but it's comfortable. And within the simple plot lines it doesn't get boring, so that's a 5 star from me!

If you're craving entertainment industry novel, definitely feel free to pick this one up! The martial arts aspect is interesting but it mostly just means they focus on military and action oriented films. Don't worry too much!

The book is quite alright. In the category of books with an entertainment theme, I would say it's average. It wasn't particularly funny, but it was entertaining enough for in between. The main character comes from a dystopian world and now uses his knowledge for his characters in show business. Of course, he always does everything perfectly and, without much effort, is better than everyone else. Whether that's a good thing is hard to say — I think it's important that characters also have weaknesses that actually impact the story.

This is unexpectedly so good. It's lighthearted in some ways (except for MC's PTSD, which was written quite fine in my opinion), you could tell the author did ample research about everything because damn the attention to details. I didn't expect much when I started reading it but it's definitely worth a reread, especially if you're looking for something that isn't heavy with angst.

A very light hearted read, with good story pacing and relationship. Perfect book to read after reading something heavy, although there is a part in the story that will probably make you shed a few tears. If you want to read something with little to no drama and a sprinkle of dog food then this is the book for you. Unfortunately, I can't give it 5 stars because the end of the novel became monotonous for me. 4.3 ⭐

Recommended to read!

This book was a bit interesting for an entertainment novel. It did not have much of those shady deals in the circle repeated. Most of the time it was said how good the MC and ML were in action scenes, which was actually true, but when it came to the MC, it was many times repeated how he got to know this and that, which was a bit sick.

The MC with his tone, which makes others speechless, was hilarious. He was very down to earth and had a... more>> good sense of wicked humor. Maybe that is the best thing about this novel. As for the ML, he was also not polite to others just to save his face. Also, the supporting roles also played a big part in this.

The plot was smooth as the villains were dealt with without much trouble.

Although this book was not one of the best, it is okay to read if you want to pass time. <<less

I actually wanted to give 4 stars but accidentally missed one. In overall it was good. I like that there are not many vicious characters and unfair competitions in this entertainment industry setting. As MC noticed actually most of ppl around him are nice (unlike in many other novels with such a setting). I don't like neverending netizens talk and sometimes I wished movies they filmed were not described in so much detail (i mean we kinda get main story plus plots of all the movies they filmed). The first... more>> one and the last one they did were ok, not too detailed, but their award winning one was described so thoroughly that we actually kinda haď read one more novel). The relationship is quite healthy, they are loving and caring, so in general I am satisfied but I would not keep it for future rereading. <<less

I really liked the MC's personality. He was bright and refreshing, not wimpy and whiny. He was strong, but he had weaknesses as well. The ML was also great. Green flags fr. I enjoyed how they bonded through sparring. Their personalities carried the novel.

The start was a bit rough. Felt a bit sudden? Like we're suddenly filming a mediocre variety show. Okay? It thankfully got better later though. It's also very slow burn. I loved the romance though!

The plot wasn't the best, but it's decent enough for a BL entertainment... more>> novel. Same for the side characters.

I loved when MC got to show off his skills. It didn't happen a ton (he's not Gary Stu), but it was nice to see his skillset coming in handy at times. He got to flex a bit, but it was still reasonable.

Overall, not a bad read especially if you like entertainment BL novels. I'd give it a 4.5 because everything but the MC and ML is decent, not spectacular. Acceptable overall, but their personalities + romantic developments are what dragged it above a 4 for me. <<less

thanks for the hardwork translating~

9/10 for me strong smart shou, understanding and doting gong.

i liked the entertainment industry in this one, the acting roles were captivating.

their relationship is sweet with good progression both virg*ns hehe but bottom was eager which was refreshing tired of flip flop shou's that are shy for no reason you already f*cked 47 TIMES why shy!!??? makes no sense😂

overall its a realistic story with great details but boring side characters no smut😭.... but fluffy I would reread and I Recommend it.

4.9!! Loved the plot progression and the development of MC and ml’s relationship. Overall a very wholesome novel with minimal antagonists. I loved the fearless MC and the mature ML who is tempered by him. Quick and enjoyable read with lots of dogfood and fluff!

I liked this book! I really liked the main characters and their relationship. I enjoyed most of the arcs except for the one that was literally called a military propaganda film - idk what I was expecting there but those chapters were also pretty much military propaganda. Well written and definitely worth reading if you think the summary sounds interesting!

The MC’s character development was excellent; I appreciated the blend of light-hearted and serious moments throughout the story. While the MC’s personality is selfish, he is not unnecessarily rude, which made him quite likable. The ML was a loving partner, and their relationship didn’t suffer from unnecessary angst, which was refreshing.

The issue seemed too significant to be completely and solely resolved simply by sleeping next to his lover, especially given this trauma in particular is of his friends and family dying in horrific ways.

So far pretty Interesting and Absolutely Entertaining.

Really Love how MC has Powerful Aura but not that much in Strength because he's in new body. He need to train more of his body was the kind of realism that I love.

Love so many good Supporting Characters so far. We don't see villain so far? And the OG! Protagonists both are Good people and become MC's friends. Really Refreshing!!!

I love the MC, he is so cool and cute. The ML is also adorable. MC was taking initiative during their intimate moments so its kinda badass. They really suit each other. I also like the side characters.

Actually, im glad that there is not much dog blood drama about MCs so called family. His life before is really sad, he deserve a peaceful life so im glad he found love and living the life he want.

This is probably one of my favorites. The plot is clever. The MC and ML are both well portrayed. Reading this on MTL was rough at times but worth it. Also, I think it was chapter 28 that I couldn't find anywhere. There were some bits where characters would just pop out of existence, but honestly I saw it more as an allegory of soldiers trying to transition back into civilian life. Yes, the MC is more bada*s but him working in the film industry gave him an outlet for... more>> his emotions while the ML gave him a safe place in which to process those emotions. Having my life experience these struggles spoke to me. Thus... if you have hyper awareness issues, sleep disorders due to trauma, PTSD or the like this would definitely be right up your alley. <<less

I like this Apocalypse transmigration genre, I wish they just set up one where the weakest young master came into play, he isn't sick anymore and destroys everyone hehe.

I love both MC and ML, MC is really out there flirting every chance he gets, our so called ML *monk* can't hold it out at all haha. MC is so skillful with his martial arts but he can never beat ML with his body. We had the same problem with the other novel. We need to fix that so MC can... more>> showcase his full potential next time, I like it better that MC isn't restricted but I get the power balance but I want to see my MC in his full pledge form,

I do think though we spend too much time on the movies themselves. I wish we spend more time on Showcasing more plotlines than that, I do like how ML is so serious about details though.

This is really short like the gaming one, I finish both of them in 2 days. It' is a really good read, full of fluff.

I hope the next one Author can write out more detail plotlines, this theme has alot of potential. <<less
