brain dead MC...

honestly I am enjoying reading this right now but the MC is really s*upid and it might be annoying for some of y'all. currently I'm in the mood to read s*upid stories so this is fun. Reading about Possessive jealous Ml's is my guilty pleasure so I'm not going to complain. But overall this story is only so-so

I would not recommend this novel because the characters are shallow, the scenes incoherent, and the plot nonexistent. If I were to summarize, I'd say it's a story about two guys making out and sniffing eachother in different places. Over 60 chapters in and not much else has happened.

The translation is OK, but the writing is actually really bad as far as setting up scenes or characters. Scenes will jump around randomly. The characters will be getting out of the car and going into the elevator to... more>> the apartment, have an interaction with a lady there, and all the sudden the ML is back to unbuckling the MC in the car? It's not just once. This happens frequently, like the author forgot to add a scene break or just plain forgot where the characters were while writing.

The romance is really dull. Each "romantic" scene is basically the same scene played out again and again in different locations. The MC gets his arms pinned up and forcefully kissed while he comments on the ml's long legs.

The story is censored in really random parts? The author goes to lengths to mention exactly how large each character's "member" is down to the centimeter, but when the ML has a spicy dream he actually dreams in mosaics cause he's too "pure". And when the characters do get to anything beyond kissing, the scene skips ahead or has parts omitted from it. The author clearly wants to write a spicy novel but also seems afraid to write spicy stuff. There's nothing wrong with this, except that there's no real climax to the tension each scene tries to create.

As other people have said, the characters are extremely dumb. The MC takes over 40 chapters to figure out what everyone else knew by chapter 4. There are tons of plotholes and characters are shallow. The only reason the characters seem to like eachother is because of "beauty" or "pheromones". They are characters with no hobbies or interests aside from their gender and love life... The ML is pretty weird. I see people saying "well it's cause he loves MC too much". But why does he love mc? Aside from the MC physically assaulting him once and smelling mc's pheromones, the ML has no reason to like the MC. Likewise, MC loves ML cause he is pretty and smells good. He also said that ML is a gentleman cause if their roles were reversed he would've already r*ped the ml... so even though the ML forces himself on him all the time and pulls off his clothes in public, it's okay cause he would've done worse himself if he were the ml? Very shallow.

The side characters and initial premise/setting actually wasn't bad. But the premise falls flat very quickly. Even the title "marked by my enemy" fails to deliver any tension, as the ML is not marked for a long time, and when he is, the mark is like a first-aid type of procedure and nothing happens. When he is supposedly in heat and you expect some sort of tension, the author just forgets that he's in heat and he just continues going to school like normal after relaxing at home for a day with minimal side effects.

I might skim some more chapters, but the story is a rather dull read. With so many great novels out there, I wonder how this one got so popular. Maybe because of the constant tension? But after failing to deliver any sort of climax to that tension for 60 chapters, I fail to see anything special or unique to this story to keep me reading. <<less

It's not horrible. I've read worse. It's just painfully slow paced though, one of the major reasons why I don't like school settings.

Atleast I like the ML. As for the MC... He has this jealousy towards the ML he mistook for hate. And to him that automatically meant the ML hates him back!! Understandable. Only problem is that he holds onto this belief so tightly. Even when the ML proves again and again that's not the case. But hey, maybe that's this author's way of writing; unreasonable as it may... more>> be.

Also I don't understand how they're 19+ and still in highschool. Maybe that's how the Chinese school system works, idk. It's like the author was going for the "humorous stubborn mischievous highschoolers" thing but make them of age so that they can marry and f*ck and get pregnant and all that. Oh and don't forget to make the ML a student as well (ofcourse) but also a military trainee who behaves like an adult running 10 companies and a boss kinda like an underground boss but he's also supposed to be a good guy!

Overall I understand that this is fiction, I'm just sure the writer can do better. <<less

This novel already been so long in my reading list and I'm finally chose to read this when the translation completed. And I admit I almost scared away by the low rating, but I chose to believe in the 5 stars review and the rating graphic.

And I'm NOT disappointed!!!

Yes it's not a Perfect novel. Yes the started of MC and ML's relationship wasn't based on Honesty. They don't have Healthy start but I would hardly call it toxic.

Yes ML Truly Possessive, but you will be surprised, that except him being... more>> Super Jealous and won't let MC live away from him, he never actually restrict MC's movements.

Well... Except on a certain scene when MC was very angry at him after everything revealed.

Even on that scene, he didn't Cross any line!

Yes he was panicked and was in madness so he forced MC have Heat by his Pheromone. But after MC finally became weak and dazed by Sudden Heat, there's no such thing as r*pe or any s*xual ab*se.

Yes he tied MC to Bed, but he easily coaxed by MC to untie him.

So yeah, ML is hardly Perfect, but except that one Lie, he's Tame-able. And focus on Doting MC as much and as best as he can!

Then what about MC? His character is still enjoyable to read too. He's mostly Dense. Both him and ML actually have Low IQ and EQ at half of the story when it come to their Love and Feelings. But they don't drag the story or anything.

This novel actually remind me of how people write Fanfiction back then around 2000-2012? But with much more modern/present theme. I'm honestly ENJOYED THE WHOLE THING!

The Domineering Possessive Gong, and yet he's also super Loving and Doting. The Weak and Softy toward Gong and yet NOT Pushover MC. Our MC is not Weak nor Strong. Nor he's an Idiot. Just Low IQ and EQ most of time at the beginning.

The story is mostly Fluff really! Cute and Fun to read.

And we all can agreed that the most Lovable Favorite character in this Novel is MC's Best Friend!

No Villain and No Dog Blood. Barely Misunderstanding exist. But definitely NOT A BORING NOVEL AT ALL!!!

I Am TRULY LOVE THIS NOVEL SO MUCH!!!

IM ABSOLUTELY FOREVER ETERNALLY GRATEFUL WITH THE HARDWORKS TRANSLATOR FOR COMPLETED THIS NOVEL TRANSLATION!!!

I enjoyed it but I didn't love it.

Because it's a gender restrictive ABO world, the transmigration from A to O basically means that the couple went from being gay to basically being straight. The author uses the terms gay and straight as well and I appreciate the challenge of being like well what bathroom to use.

My only complaint so far, the pace is too slow 🐌 to keep my interest focused till the end... this is the second time I'm taking a pause. However it's interesting just enough so I haven't dropped completly. I regained my interest after a while, but had to re-read chapters to recall the storyline where I stopped 😩

ML abusing and bullying MC through all chapters but Author not only did they NOT call this but also enjoys and supports this... We heard MC's monologues of him not enjoying this kind of treatment but he had to give up to fight because "ML is cute or good looking "???

Also about ML's mental sickness which until the end author thought they can ignore it since now MC was by his side and filled the void in his heart, but NO, he had to be treated, he has a dangerous switch in his mind

I love possessive, black bellied characters. I am also forgiving and most of the time, open a brain hole just so I can enjoy the novels I read. But this one came from funny, fluff, to simple annoying. I hate emotional cards so much. I just had enough of these two when the lie was exposed but ... more>>

I agree with the other comments that the treatment is unequal. ML can be considerate but only so he could gain more. I find him emotionally abusive. Xie Yu is the only lovable character. I guess I'll just wait for the side characters' side stories. <<less

The frustration while reading this, I mean it just keeps going in circle they need to sit down and talk really. All they keep doing is making assumptions about each other and them picking fights. Its both s*upid and interesting, I just want the plot to move forwards because it is an interesting plot. Nearly 40 chapters and I feel like nothing has happened.

Good so far, anticipating the updates. But there are exception if you don't like oblivious MC with the trope of fragile omega thingy.

But instead of smexy things, I hope the author would put focus on the MC' feelings because I can feel how frustrating it is for the MC, I want them to be honest with each other and talk things out. And I hope he stop teasing when things are serious bc I personally hate it lmao it's frustrating.

This story really deserves a pretty high ⭐️. Maybe not 4.5 and above, but 4.1/4.2 is really worth it...

Here's my candy, a story I should at least read. It's light, it's refreshing, it's conflicted yet not prolonged, it has prahara yet not annoying, and it's a sweet silly story.

I'm a lover of ML with Yandere characters, and I think our ML in this story has that characteristic but not in a dark way. She's quite manipulative, but really not in a pushy, annoying way. And I like how our MC... more>> character is made blunt, mature enough to accept her fate and reality, and not overdoing it. I really like this pairing.

HE money is really Happy ending. They are happy together, without the mix of annoying third person, they have a harmonious family and background. Certain scenes are subtly written.

The point is ⭐️ the current one really doesn't fit this story!!!

If anyone wants a silly story, no need to worry about certain things, light and sweet, this is worth it... <<less
