F University’s two most attractive men, Wang Guangning and Zhang Lingyi, constantly competed with each other regardless in what aspect.

Just want to say, I really enjoyed this novel from last till the end. This kinda reminds me of Hangout Crisis Manga wherein two popular students ended up being together but the whole premise of pretending to be gay is their difference. I laughed, felt sad and warm while reading this.

Just had a little bit of concern regarding with how their parents keep on saying if their sons' partner isn't good looking they might have already burst into anger or strong opposition, I mean the way I see it, it feels like they're trying to imply that if they're not good looking then they'd receive a different treatment? But aside from it, the plot was actually good and fun to read

This story was so so sweet! CP is adorable, handsome and so good together. They are equally matched. Gong is such henpecked hubby. In part 2, he reminds me a bit of Luo Binghe from SVSSS although setting is totally different. That's how he dotes on the shou.

Love to read when they were in college, how they fell in love and found eachother again! Characters are successful, but not to extent that they are filthy rich or almighty like in many other novels. I really liked it here, not... more>> too ordinary or dull, but not godly like either. Just the right amount.

Reading this story you shouldn't mind too much how silly reason the author gave why CP should try being gay. I could overcome/ignore that and just enjoyed their dates.

Also in the story, it's not that MC and ML didn't realize how impulsive and silly their 30-day agreement was. MC wanted to quit after he calmed down after few days, but secretly both were enjoying it too much and just went with it.

There was light angst in the middle, please mind the timeskip tag. I loved it! I shed 2 tears for the shou.

3 flaws:

1. I first thought the author had no idea how the corporate world works. No way that cp could make career so fast in 2-3y after graduation. Typical case of an author that doesn't do much research and doesn't know how it works. But then in the author notes I understood she does work in corporate world. But then, what she writes is not due to ignorance. I think that is so much worse!! At least have a longer timeskip then to make it more believable.

2. MC comes back after long timeskip and suddenly everything is fine? I hate slowburn so I don't mind it, but author should explain to readers why MC suddenly is ok.

3. Really dumb jealous 'villain'. Many bl webnovel authors write villains that are too dumb just to make the plot work, and this one is over the top and totally unbelievable. What he does in his attempt to destroy cp... truly?? We live in 2012 (when novel was written) and they work in international companies. How can a believable villain overlook things as professionalism and privacy (just for the plot). But hey.. I'm reading BL mainly for fluff and not for clever villains, so I'll forgive the author this too :) <<less

It is good. Tho there was some part that shows homophobic notes, I think it is justified. Considering the country were they are from and that they were really straight before the agreement, gender confusion is normal. Tho im a bit put off by the gong's trying to be cutesy (after he got emerged to danmei... And adopt whatever contents he read), ZLY isn't that bad. Tho, character wise, I prefer WGN better, persons like ZLY exist... Smart people are borderline weirdos afterall (idk if people will agree with this,... more>> but within my circle full of top-notchers, it is indeed true😅).

Anyway, I even cried at the end of their agreement. I didn't expected that. And the story four years later was even better. Even if ZLY still called WGN shoushou (became a pet name already)

Overall, I am very satisfied and enjoyed reading this. <<less

This is the type of plot that you can normally find in a BL manga hoisting 5 chapters and one omake chapter. Throw in your cliched-but-oh-so-addicting plot device of fake dating, add on a careless misunderstanding that sets off major epiphanies, & then proceed with a sudden but mildly-angsty time skip that’s followed by cute revelations & steamy scenes. Overall, it’s a cute & easy read. Don’t sweat on the plot too much; it should be enjoyed with 10% of your brain power!

This is a great choice if you want to have a light-read and fluffy plus comedy web novel. The interaction between 2 MLs are amusing and will make you laugh a lot. There are no big conflicts involved, and the misunderstanding in the stories become the spice which add a little color to the storyline.

Ahhhh this story is so sweet and gently paced! Although yes, there was this teensy tiny bit of drama and angst but it was so well placed in the plot and well worded that it really isn't that heavy so it projects that "bitter, bittersweet" feeling completely. I like this one, especially the two main characters, I love every inch of them: from their fights, from their mistakes, from their confused and not so confused thoughts and from how much they love each other ♡ I also can't stop laughing... more>> whenever Zhang Lingyu is involved hahaha! <<less

Already agreeing to be pretend gay is ominous to bending LOL. Still, their internal struggles and denials of falling for the other were hilarious and sweet at the same time.

Some plots would seem ridiculous, but for someone obviously attracted to the other, their excuses to be together seem reasonable haha.

Feel good novel. Probably there’s one chapter to tug on your heart. But it’s manly macho fluff all throughout. ??

I've read a couple of novels that made me laugh but this is the funniest so far? Zhang LingYi is jus ???...... and then there's Wang GuangNing's counterattacks.

I totally recommend.

I feel bad for not giving this novel a proper chance (as in reading further), but I can’t stand the unrealism, h*mophobia, and how 2D the other characters are (only there to go “oh my god what a shock”).

Cane back to read this novel, trying to fill in my time waiting for my other novels to update. Did read it a while back but it wasn't finished so was happy that someone picked it up and is finishing it. It's a good read, with both ML and MC starting of straight or so they think. Probably not sure about their s*xual preference in the first place. Anyways it's a BL novel and not real life so I try not to mix or compare the two because it's fiction!... more>> Loved but ML and MC, they are so cute together. Lots of laughter and mischief. Story starts in College and runs through adulthood. Can't wait for the ending. [Spoiler HE and some R18 towards end of novel] Both translators did a great job <<less

I originally liked the description, I thought it would be nice and sweet. I don't like read about bickering couples which can't be even called lovers. I can't imagine how they fell in love with each other.

They have highest marcs in the university but they s*upid how high school students. Their s*upid antics. Their smug and contemptuous characters. Dependence of appereance. It's disgusting for me.

I even can't understand their intentions of acting gays. Really s*upid, they dislike this but continue this even when they alone. Why do you do this?

Wahh I've finished this quite fast... First up, I have to say, to those that read other reviews saying the ML is not that great and you'll get angry at him, I didn't, and I didn't not like him nor found him scummy, sure, his actions might seem scummy at the moment, but it's the situation and ill-fate between the 2 of them. So, give this novel a try if you're hesitant because of that.

Second, this got me crying in the halfway mark (as the tags said, there's a time... more>> skip, though I don't really fancy time skip, I'm ok with this one, and even kinda like it) the second 'arc' after the time skip is my favorite, which showcases the deepening of their relationship. I must say, I didn't really enjoy the first arc 'the 30 days part' because I find myself getting impatient. In this novel, they fall quite easily and early, so I keep finding myself wanting them to get together asappp, so, I wasn't totally into reading that part.

Character wise, MC, is the tsundere type, which mellows down afterwards, whihc I totally appreciate cuz too much tsun gets irritating after a while. ML is the big fluffy dog type that gets very attached, so that's cute.

Overall a 4.5/5 <<less

It was a fun read and really funny! I love how the MC and ML interacts.

Though, I decided not to finish this novel because after the time skip, the story just felt lacking. It was fluffy but at the same time, it just felt lacking in terms of impact and there were plot holes or character holes that I couldn’t ignore.

Like how MC applied and had an interview for ML’s company but then he said afterwards that he didn’t really intend to work there, just wanted to go to that company cause ML is in the HR department. I just can’t help but think that that’s so unreasonable cause he wasted the time and effort of the people who interviewed him and such and they were also hopeful of him. I know this is just a novel but still, just my opinion. It was okay to be unreasonable maybe when they were in college but goodness! I think they’re in their 24-25’s already and that’s just such a foul move for me after all I’m already working and I just really think that was an irresponsible move.

Honestly I didn't expect to love this story the way I did. Because it's a very simple plot but it's so sweet and they obviously love each other a lot that it's impossible to not have a soft spot for LingNing (?) LingGuang (?)

I liked the almost confession scene, it was really sad to see Guangning and Lingyu crying because they couldn't be together, and I don't blame them, bc it's very scary to realize the feelings you have for someone else and in this case, they were also confused with their sexuality. So I think it was very good that they grew up and matured to finally be able to be together

My goodness, what in the world did I just read? It was almost like two short novels woven together to create a singular story and the whole thing was quite silly.

The premise of the novel as well as the first half was so absurd and devoid of logic, I really had to laugh out loud. When the two MC's discovered that they'd been duped by the girl they had been mutually chasing, their first instinct is to get revenge on the world by... pretending to be gay? How does one... more>> logically come to that conclusion?

On the other hand, the second half of the novel is more restrained and ever so slightly more realistic as both MC's matured over time. Nonetheless, their personalities after the time skip are almost tantamount to becoming different characters.

There was a fair amount of humor in this and I had a good amount of laughs, mostly at the crazy ridiculous situations the two characters got themselves into.

When the they picked each others' haircuts resulting in one person becoming bald while the other rocked purple and white scene hair, I really had to question my choice of novels.

I would also like to question where the gong got his list of "30 most romantic things couples should do" from because there is not a chance in hell that I would ever put "choosing a hairstyle for each other that you will both like" on that list.

I'm torn abt this book. It's not tat bad but not tat good too. The first few chapters was quite boring I had to skim through. As the story continue it gets better. It actually has its good moments, cute romance, a lil comedy. If I had to describe the story, it has a good thought but failed in execution. So yeah that's my opinion.
