After waking from a car accident, professional esports player Ye Shaoyang found himself transmigrated into a mystifying ABO world where he was living as a noobish streamer.

In order to support himself in this new life, Ye Shaoyang decided to return to his old job and climb the ranks in the esports world. With his outstanding talent, he quickly secured a contract with a prestigious club.

But on his very first day with his new team, he unexpectedly presented as an omega right in front of the team’s captain Chi Shuo.

Chi Shuo took his new teammate to the hospital for an examination. Afterwards, the boy looked up at him with a sheen of moisture in his eyes. The corners of his eyes were red, and his voice was hoarse as he rasped, “Captain, the doctor says I’m allergic to suppressants. Can you help me?”

“…help you how?” Chi Shuo asked.

Ye Shaoyang simply turned his back to Chi Shuo. “Just give me a temporary mark. Bite me here, thanks.”

Chi Shuo’s expression gradually crumbled.

What was with this omega?! Was a mark something you could hand out so freely?!

Netizens:

[I heard Team Tianhuan’s new teammate is an omega!] [Is he going to play support? Everyone, please be sure to take care of your sweet, delicate, adorable new omega support!] That was the buzz, right up until Ye Shaoyang demonstrated his explosive prowess by single-handedly taking five kills in a competitive match.

Their opponents:

[Sweet? Delicate? This is a demon lord, isn’t it?] [He killed me enough to break my brain. I want to uninstall the game!] [Even if we lose the battle, Ye Shaoyang must die!] [Target that omega! Show no mercy!] It’s time to get to know an omega with flashy and extraordinary skills.

Who says an omega has to be sweet, delicate, and adorable? This omega has the power to blow up the whole league.

This is actually good 👍

I like that it's not a red flag ABO storyline, the ML is respectful and green. The MC is funny and straightforward I like that his tr*sh talking is classy and not brash unlike some other eSports novels.

The game details are just enough and on point for me it's not a one time success with easy road like others. It's always over powered MC when they transmigrated... but MC has just a good mentality coupled with his memories of past experience that's why he was able... more>> to become an eSports player again in ABO world. Plus the opponents really didn't become foils for the leads they have some exposures too and they're not weak or just a back ground. <<less

this is probably the sweetest E sport story I've ever read.. 😭😭😭 From the first chapter, Extra Chapter to bonuses. All chapters are really Sugar 😭😭👌

Maybe I really love the tension and touch of GLORY. But this story really has a different sweet taste, it's really SWEET 😭😭😭

Our Yangyang and Chi Shuo really are the best PDA spreaders in the universe 😭😭

I am really happy after reading this story. PERFECT SWEET FROM BEGINNING TO THE END.

I really recommend this story!!

Fun, interesting read. MC is a genius gamer with high EQ sent to an ABO world where he slowly makes his way streaming his gaming and climbing the e-sports world. 95% gaming, 5% romance. I don't know League of Legends or Honor of Kings or e-sports, but the translators and author (a huge esports fan) did an excellent job making the competition games exciting and memorable. It would have been nice to have an extra epilogue or two at the end, but it was a good read. Didn't realize this... more>> was the same author as Accidental Mark and Card Room, I'll have to check out the author's other books. <<less

Well it is pretty cute and funny. There were many cute parts with the ML and MC, but I still cant give this story 5 stars for some reasons.

1 its truly too long. Compared with the authors other book Accidental Mark which I love, this kinda went on and on with the tournaments.

2 So the games, all the local games were super bloody long and I kinda felt like it was never ending, but when it came to the world championship, then it was like bam bam bam. Done.

3 The... more>> thing with naming countries and the media and netizens of certain counties being portrayed in a bad way, I have read other esports novels with world championships, but they were never this bad, plus many authors would just improvise and makeup counties.

But here, if I was actually from Korea, I would have definitely felt bad for my country being portrait in such bad ways as in this book. So I’m not very satisfied about that part.

The best part about this book is in the extras as that’s the only place the author is not portraying other countries in such ways.

If you like a slow burn with many esports games in it, this will do good. If not its meh.

though I did start to play league of legends after reading this coz I couldn’t understand how this game worked. Of course after playing the game I could understand. As all the games were well described.

That’s all. It’s a nice story with fun moments. I like both the ML and MC, just the story was too long and had those issues I mentioned above. <<less

If you are interested in the detailed atmosphere of cyber sports and the many detailed game descriptions, this novella is a must read.

Otherwise, it is incredibly boring for those who would like to see more romance and have little interest in gaming. About 90% of the chapter content will only mean to you that the main pair of alpha and omega are very cool as players. That is, if you're into "I Can Do It, " then this novella is unlikely to suit you. It's about 98% cybersports and games,... more>> 1% comedy and 1% yaoi.

I prefer a more harmonious distribution of genres, so I only give it 3 stars. <<less

Really good, it's worth it to read. It's rare to encounter an ABO and in esport. Especially I love ABO theme and esport so combining this two, I really like it.

In my view Ye shoayang is very cute although his old personality and understanding from his former world is still there. He doesn't have the consciousness of his new environment and identity, proven that even he is an omega he doesn't know the ways of an omega and some of his Moves that make the people around him to arouse... more>> suspicion like not being nervous and always calm, anyways him being big hearted actually solve it all but I just think that it's quite not suitable, especially for someone that is new to that kind of thing according to his new identity and I especially kind of still remember in some starting chapter that the body the MC is occupying, his parents had just recently died so I think it's kind of not suitable just only in my opinion. But it's good, the plot is good, the character development is good. I think that ML is really really cute also haha, I like how he thinks in terms of love life and he actually an advance thinker, he's also very considerate anyways I'm spoiling it hehe, it's very fun to read

Ahh... Still waiting for the updates I'm looking forward to it.

Spoiler

MC will be a new boss in tianhuan base haha, he together with ML there will be string of ab*se that the second team will experience (✯ᴗ✯)

Also his ^_^ will be his trademark hahaha

So far the novels great! I like how the MC doesn't go straight into the competition like most e-sports novels. As well as the fact that he's not super great at all the characters which more or less makes sense because the game in his previous life is not the same. But he still has his game sense when playing. Honestly, one of my favorite e-sports novels.

I really like this novel so far. The translation is great, I'm excited to see more. The pacing of the novel is so perfect, it doesn't come too quickly that I feel underwhelmed, but it also doesn't come so late that I've already lost all my anticipation. It's the ideal speed that I look for in novels, I always look forward to every chapter that will come next.

Although I don't play games like the one in the story, it's easy to understand and I enjoy the gaming scenes. The game... more>> is clear and comprehensive, and I can imagine what is going on even with no experience.

I also really love the main character, he's proud and confident, although I do wonder how he adapted to his transmigration situation so quickly. His relationship with the ML is so cute and supportive, although it has caused a bit of misunderstanding on the ML's side. The tacit understanding between the MC and ML is super impressive and they have a lot of face-slapping moments.

I like that the side characters have depth, not just the mains. None so far have been writing in for the sake of causing drama, not we're there any overly-malicious characters that didn't fit the plot. I could match every name with the person, so it's safe to say that characters appeared more than once and held significance to the story.

Above all... there's descriptions of cute kitties. As a cat lover, I have been absolutely delighted at every cat-related scene. It's really good so far, I would even dare say that this novel has a very high up position in my heart, even though I haven't finished. This really surprises me because I wasn't much of a fan of this authors other ABO works, but this one just blew me away. I'll leave a long review once it's complete. <<less

Spoiler

so far it's only one-sided, the ML seemed to fall first and really confident in planning their future, I think he doesn't consider the possibility MC rejecting him tho

[collapse]

and the matter with MC transmigration.. I wonder what happen to original MC? How come our MC suddenly transmigrate when the original is in the middle of playing MOBA😅, I hope the author explain this in future chapters. UPDATED:

It's fun so far, there's many funny and wholesome moments

Spoiler

MC mentoring the second string team and becoming like the co captain, the children really admire him and MC sometimes tease and encourage them

[collapse]

Spoiler

MC and ML go to the international server to train using ID name sunshine and moonlight, many mistake them as couple 🤣

[collapse]

Spoiler

ML promptly giving MC preferential treatment such as giving big sum of red envelope when MC jokingly complain he doesn't get much and saving MC promotional photos, then do the same to all his teammates cuz he thought it's weird if he did it only to MC 😅

[collapse]

I like the ML, he really value MC talents and treat him with utmost respect and sincerity, he also has soft spot for him, I like seeing them interact, it's very wholesome and give butterfly to my stomach hihi.

UPDATE 2:

well I guess it's time to say goodbye, the translation got taken down and I don't know if the new tl will translate all to the end, I check all the mtl and apparently starting from ch171 they just reupload the earlier chapter like from ch 10 or so. <<less

Found this gem, finished reading translated chapters and continued MTL. Want more of this.

MC and ML both have the captain quality for an e-sport team. Although MC will later develop as an omega, his character didn't go down the route of powerful omega players who taunts and curse his opponents. I love how he teases them without swearing, killing them with directness and a little bit of cuteness as the finishing.

Spoiler

It will be chapter 48 until he starts to differentiate into Omega.

This story is interesting and charming.

To enjoy this story you must: (1) be interested in reading about e-sports and league of legends because 90% of the novel is literally gameplay (2) okay with jumping websites to different translations.

That said though, I really enjoyed this. The characters are likeable and as a league player it was refreshing to read in detail a game that was similar but different. Although the main character has some traditional views about relationships at first, that is really not as big of a deal as other... more>> reviews make it to be. It would be unusual if he had none at all after such an extreme transmigration.

But yes 90% of the novel is gameplay, the relationship action and fluff is primarily in the extras at the end. I enjoyed this read though. <<less

This novel is heaven for any MOBA players who are also fujoshis. There are tons of details about the game, so even if it is fiction, it could be mistaken as a real game as the author definitely took their time upon writing it. The relationship is sweet, it is a healthy amount of mutual love, a relationship that gives and takes. I really like their early development from strangers to friends/colleagues.

HOWEVER, for someone who does not play a lot of MOBA games, it could be tiring to... more>> read as well as hard to understand as you are not watching nor playing a game, but only reading words. The characters were well done at first, I thought it was interesting that a novel was talking a lot of different rivals, but it fell off in the end as it became more of a Gary Stu situation and slapping a "they had a tacit understanding" band-aid to any problem they had.

I also have to remind those who are willing to try this novel that it is a SLOW-BURN. With all the extras, the relationship only really took off around the 77% and if you think it's fine to wait until 77%, I would also like to remind you that even at that point, it is only eating a bite out of a cookie as after a half-chapter amount of words, the novel focuses on the e-sports plot. Then the only time you will face sweetness again is at around 90 - 95%, as they finally finished the season.

TLDR:

- A lot of details for the game, good for those who like it, not good for those who don't.

- A lot of side characters that would act as rivals that had substance.

- MC is kind of a Gary Stu with his mental capacity and good skills for a "newbie", but his personality is nice.

- Slow burn Romance, MC and ML wants to focus more on the game rather than romance. You'll meet real romance at the beginning and at the extras. <<less

MC gets on my nerves with his "pure and straight man" bs like on one hand he is described as "open minded" and on the other hand he keeps burying his head in the sand saying he "cant accept the ML bc he's a "straight and pure man" or whatever ugh. Just not my type of humor. I read ABO so I can AVOID this type of "straight uke" annoying entanglement.

+ the pacing of the novel just isn't the best in my opinion. The matches feel off like they just... more>> got rushed toward the end and the romance... felt lacking?? I feel like the extras involving them in the ABO world should have been in the main text?? There just wasn't enough sweetness!! Any time the CP interacted in an ambiguous way it was followed by the MC being in denial about his feelings for "good buddy" bc he's a "pure and straight man" or whatever. It felt like being given candy before getting slapped in the face lol not enjoyable at all!!

Anyways this isn't that fun if you're looking to read a cute sweet romance with some e-sporting lol the balance is off the text is like 70% matches 30% everything else. If you like E-Sports + an OP MC from the start and don't mind the lack of high quality dog food then definitely give this a go. <<less

If you're debating reading this, then you're just like me. It sounds interesting, maybe enough to put in a list, but not enough to actually start. At least, that's what I thought. I started this because I'd either finished or hit the end of what was translated for the other light novels I was reading. I figured I'd read a few chapters of this thing I'd bookmarked forever ago, skim through the gaming jargon and then be dragged elsewhere by my whims... Boy, was I wrong.

To be clear, I do... more>> not seriously game, especially multiplayer style. I stick with first-person storylines like Mass Effect, or Fallout 4. I care little for gaming fights and have zero knowledge of how all that works even after watching my brother playing that stuff for hours. My only takeaways were "Oh, you killed that guy." or "That was a tough shot." or "You totally died." And that game held little similarities to League of Legends (which the game in this story is modeled after) other than it being an online multiplayer team-up style (I have no idea what his game is even called).

With that in mind, you know you can trust me when I say that this is a good read. Is there gaming jargon? Yes. But the author and translators do an insanely excellent job of making it understandable for anyone. And by the time I'm sick of it and want to skim ahead, they're done explaining and the plots moving forward. Do I understand everything? No. But it's not their fault. I don't care about gaming so only the key takeaways and important bits stick in my brain. The rest gets forgotten, leading to a hint of regret later when they bring up some jargon I forgot, but then they show you what they mean through the gaming so it doesn't matter if I forgot anyway.

On another note, the world-building is intentional and superb. That means a lot of names to remember, but thankfully everyone has a distinct personality that makes you go, "Oh, I remember you, " after a few sentences. The game characters are also well fleshed out. They have pros and cons and the author is obviously a gamer (who should totally get a job creating game character for League of Legends from the sound of it).

While the main character is a bit OP, there's a valid explanation and it isn't face-slapping all the way. The wins have a logical cause and effect, as do the losses. While they can be predictable, they aren't clearly inevitable. It's something you have to think through in terms of storytelling to predict.

The romance is slow. It lurks in the background before abruptly coming to the surface, only to slink back again. The further you get, the more pronounced it becomes.

The Male Lead (ML) is professional but pure and the Main Character (MC) is laidback but completely clueless when it comes to what's considered "normal" and "acceptable" in this world where he's a pseudo-woman. The author does a good job of making comparisons to show that while MC thinks marking is just a good way to deal with his problems, to ML, it's a completely insane suggestion and for good reason.

Spoiler

Marking would be equivalent to the intimate act getting each other off in this world. Intimacy-wise, not literally.

[collapse]

Honestly, it's an all-round good story that'll get you binging all night if you give it the chance (trust me, I did). So if you're debating, go ahead and read.

There is one downside though; It's not completely translated. With something that has so many characters and jargon and such, it's a pain to jump back in after a week or more without an update. And at the moment, updates seem to be slow. So, if you can't wait and want to jump in, be happy knowing that 140 chapters are translated so far and at least the first two translators who worked on this (haven't checked out the third yet because I haven't gotten that far) are absolutely amazing and putting in the effort to pull out all the stops and give a phenomenal final product. <<less

I love a strong OP MC who does not care about social constructs and just goes ahead with what they want to do. Only flaw was that MC was pretty dense and callous towards ML's feelings because he didn't understand the world he was in, so a large majority of the novel was me feeling so bad for the ML (ML is a precious cinnamon bun who needs to be protected).

Spoiler

After MC realized what he was doing, it became really sweet and cute.

Some of the other reviews mention this, but this story is pretty game mechanic heavy (which I personally am a fan of because it makes the world feel more developed outside of the relationship between the MC and ML but I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea). <<less

because I despised how they got together. All of that build up with YSY thinking about how he'd apologize to CS and tell him he wanted to be buddies thrown out for a tr*shy susceptible alpha period plot point where CS 'loses control' and kisses him so YSY thinks 'why not be boyfriends since I wasn't disgusted'. I don't care that YSY was having ambiguous feelings before that, I care about the misunderstandings that just went completely CS's way and got him a boyfriend like that. I read this because I saw reviews saying it wasn't one of those bad ABO stories and that the partners truly respected each other and would've gotten together regardless of their genders and then the author threw that typical alpha loses control and omega is fine with it plot point together just to get YSY and CS together!!!!!!

[collapse]

Other than that, the story was entertaining, and I enjoyed the easy to understand gaming terminology and how detailed the author could get with the matches and strategies and such. I did find it a little convenient how much they won especially with CFX being a newbie marksman, but I guess it is to be expected in esports novels. <<less

Interesting and fun to read

I love Ye and Chi. They are so cute.

Ye is a strong, hard working, OP, adaptive, calm, and kind.. The transmigration was the easy reason for him to became OP since in his last world he is a captain of e sport team. But the interesting point is that he is really clueless about ABO world! So I like how he make other people (most of the time Chi) become anxious and lost common sense while he is really clueless about that omega things.

Chi is really... more>> sweet and gentle! And of course OP! I love this kind of ML.

For the story, it's well written. The live streaming arc is fun and interesting, and the professional league is fun and sometimes thrilling, of course protagonist' team will win eventually, but the process of winning is fun to read. There is some slapping face match and it was satisfying. Because of reading this novel, I became addicted to reading e-sports bl novels, I was looking for similar stories but I think I enjoyed reading this novel the most. The matches also easy and fun to understand. And how the combination/ line up heroes. There are too many heroes yet I still can understand it well. I like the depiction of the characters, both MC, ML and other characters.

Cannot say anything, I just can say that if you like comedy eSports slow romance with OP MC BL novel, than it's your cup of coffee <<less

So good that I went into a frenzy trying to find something similar to this and ended up just being sad and treasuring this more because there's nothing else as good as this. It's close to 5 stars for a reason.

Tbh I originally went into this wondering: how does omegaverse, transmigration and esports even mix?? And I was given a great surprise. The world building is just right, characterization is top notch, the games is actually fun and the faceslapping? It felt like I let out a really good sneeze... more>> I don't know how else to describe it. You actually fall for the teams and characters, its the beauty of (well written) sports novels.

Our mc/shou isn't submissive or weak but they're both powerful and stand in equal standing with ML which I really enjoyed. You barely see it around in this genre. It's also rare to find a bl that has slower romance cause it focuses on another plot point (with this being esports) that perfectly balances it both, yet here we are with ALM doing it effortlessly. May I add that it's extremely refreshing to see how our ml/gong actually processes his thoughts and how he sees/falls in love with mc?

Spoiler

I liked how Chi Shuo originally thought of Ye Shaoyang as another teammate, he wasn't so fast to be head over heels in marking him. But then we see how he starts to be attracted to him and how he blames it on the marking. To him having the epiphany that he wouldn't do what he and Ye Shaoyang with anyone else and actually envisioning a future with him by taking responsibility for the mark. To him finally realizing that he actually fell in love with him, the marking didn't make him do it.

[collapse]

I also found it funny when I would think of just this esports obsessed guy with the only thing in mind being championship waking up in another world abt abo– ofc that guy will not know anything about it haha. I wouldve wriyten a more cohesive and coherent review but this novel has me too excited. Just read it! <<less
