there was no regret, the author tried to push a failed attempt to repent, and this after the seme r*ped the omega, and the omega desperately threatened that if the alpha marked him he would remove his own glands, this after threatening the imega with the son, force and blackmail and force intimate attitudes against the omega's will.

very obvious fact that regardless, the mark is still affecting him and there was never a moment in the story that felt like there was a 100% seperation between alpha insticts and his emotions. We had the temporary mark with 2nd ML (which I felt was in poor taste after everything that happened) but than it was still as if MC was a poession to him.

but ends up even more illogical and screwed up. Not once were these guys on birth control?! Only a cond*m was mentioned once, you'd think with MLs clear desires he'd have MC on a IUD or something but nah.

I also feel like the 2nd ML came in wayyyy to late into the story and it didnt really help the plot. It felt too convenient and honestly just made the MC look a little worse.

In comparison to the authors other works, this one was just okay. The wife chase felt more tiring than anything else and the childcare aspect of the book really just felt like endless politics as if the child was just a prop. There wasnt even one hint of sweetness when it came to the kid and overall whats the point in that?

stabbing towards the end. Shen Dai became OOC and immediately felt worried for him when just a few chapters before he still hated him and wanted to run away. His behaviour cannot even be explained psychologically. A good example for that is Li Chengxiu from Sissy, where he had the same thoughts about not wanting the s*um ML to die, exposing the codependance he had towards his ab*ser. Here, Shen Dai even forgets about his child, the most important person to him, to run towards Qu Moyu. I know this is part of the famous ICU trick the author pulls out on many of her works, but I don't think it helped in this one. I was pissed off at how that was all it took for Shen Dai to change everything, from his behaviour to his mind about ML.

Let the MC just cut off his glands. It would have been a neater ending for his arc cause as an S-class he had always been told that his mark is the desired thing an omega would want. So the ML accepting that the MC and his relationship is not one where a mark needs to be established to show that they truly love each other would have the ending I preferred.

The MC for most of the novel disliked being an omega cause it only him more and more trouble. He said so many times that the moment his child does not need his pheromones he would cut off his glands only not doing in the end cause he got new faith in the ML. Maybe I am being a little petty about it. But I wished that was how it would have gone.
