Ngl, it's got full marks because it's Man Man He Qi Duo and I love their writing a shitton. But in comparison to FOG and Those Years in Quest of Honor Mine , this novel is rather weaker.

FOG and Those Years have clear antagonist (s) /villain (s) which act as foils for the protagonists, so the drama is more tense and in general intrigued me more. But this novel doesn't have any antagonist, making the over-arching esports plot feel like it's DOA. Another setback that this novel shares with FOG is the lack of care for the ending of the esports plot. I wrote these downsides, so why did I give full marks and why am I calling myself a fan of this writer? Because Man Man He Qi Duo writes romance really f*cking well. Especially the teasing. Romance plot in general but the teasing is just top-notch. The romance plot this time didn't disappoint. It's heart-explodingly good. It's hilarious, it's thrilling, sometimes it's angsty, the misunderstanding is resolved quickly at the beginning like in FOG and Those Years and it overall left me with wonderful memories. Very cute. Could have been better since PUBG isn't the most exciting game to write about in my opinion, and the ML was busy overcoming his trauma and being shy for 99% of the story so there wasn't too much physical intimacy unfortunately. We were very well fed with emotional dog food though, I can appreciate that. Ending was open ended, but the extras were adorable.
