- Plot: Interesting cultivation/power-up method and not repetitive.
Negative:While most people prefer the light novel, I seem to prefer the manhua series. It’s true that the novel is better paced, given the extensive descriptions of the world, leveling up, treasures and how beautiful every woman he meets is, but it’s somewhat unnecessary and only serves as the background required given how rigid and complex power levels in the world are.
While the manga skims over the more boring aspects, and although there is a loss of information, it’s not essential to the plot line (just know he seems weaker but will still win the fight). However the main advantage of the manga is that XY’s personality is several times lighter and more likeable in the manga.
He’s still arrogant but part of it is humorous/mocking, and having visuals on the women is several times more enjoyable than having half the series describing how irresistible one part of their body is (sexy legs, snake like waist etc) and how much XY is holding back from ravaging them. So if you like the LN, it’s worth trying the manhua for a less pompous MC who gives off less of a r*pey feel.
