A weak pet beast?

A common evolution path?

No, no, no!

Talent [Eye of Insight] activated!

Years later—

Qiao Bai stood at the pinnacle of the world, bewildered.

Qiao Bai: “If I told you that, in the beginning, I honestly just wanted to be an ordinary beast tamer, would you believe me?”

I just want to warn people that although it says complete, it seems like the author dropped it. The "ending" is just a few paragraphs in the last chapter. The mysteries and burgeoning side plots don't get resolved at all. But I still really enjoyed it.

The setting is inspired by Pokémon but the story isn't, so battles aren't the main point of the story. Its a story about the rise of a boy to become the best Pokémon master beastmaster there ever was and accidentally becoming the best evolution professor.... more>> The protagonist is OP and everything goes his way but he isn't an arrogant MC. There isn't much face slapping or romance, and its mostly about the adventures of the protagonist with his beasts, which I liked.

The issue is that story is incomplete and the author doesn't even try to make a good ending. I feel like something happened to the author irl because the story had a lot of foreshadowing and plot lines only to abruptly end. The author clearly had a vision and I would had liked to see the resolution, even in bullet point form. It was frustrating that there was so much going on only for it to end on a cliff hanger forever.

So, read this story if your the type who gets bored easily. The interactions between the MC and his beasts are amusing and I enjoyed the side characters but it does start to get repetitive.

Translation site can be wonky and there are wrong pronouns sometimes. <<less

Honestly, I liked the fact that it was so quick with all the face slapping and the character interaction was honestly great.

But as I reached the last 100 chapters, I honestly thought it was going to be incomplete cause there was still so many things to do.

I can't express how upset I am about the ending. The story is genuinely pretty great and I loved so many of the characters and the pets were great. But after a while, bits and pieces of plot relevant things kept getting skipped or forgotten. It seemed the author remembered some later on and added it, but forost, the author just glossed it over.

Honestly, I can't tell if there was a translation error or not, but a great story ended in a very lackluster way. After MC went through so many events, not only did we not get a lot of info about the system and skills the MC had, but also, there the national and international popularity stuff was completely skipped. Not to mention, we didn't even get to the international stuff or the hidden family reveal with Dr Chen.

The last chapter ended the entire story abruptly with no info about any of the follow up results. God knows if he won the goddamn tournament or what. Or even how he saved the world???

It's so frustrating!!! But the story before that was actually good. If you don't think too much about the plot points the author clearly forgot about completely, or didnt remember what happened so they repeated it a second time- the the contract with the tree thing.

Overall, it's an incredibly frustrating ending that ruins the whole amazing story it started out as. Disappointing.

But the previous story, ignoring the plot holes, was really great. If only it didn't end like that.

The plot is basically

Spoiler

Qian Bai was in business or something, idk, not mentioned clearly, but he transmigrated into a high school student's body in a world with people and wild beasts. However those beasts can be tamed. He gets power of finding out the requirements to evolve pet beasts and starts on the path of being a pet evolution professor while also training to be a beast master.

He starts spitting out new ways to evolve beasts, graduates from school, gets early admission, gets famous, becomes a teacher after one semester where he wasn't even in school, becomes even more famous, becomes a national treasure, basically. While solving problems he evolves his pet beasts and fills up his slots. He takes a crack into the mythical tier which no creature has successfully evolved to in the known era.

Then plot points like his system upgrading stuff start being forgotten by the author and a few arcs later... he gets to know the history of the world, upgrades his mechanical pet and bam! The story ends with praise for him for got knows what reasons.
