i have read this novel since few years ago and it's my third time re reading. My favorite novel by far, its fresh and I love tag confinement. In this story it's far better than modern confinement. Because the moral and indigenous way of living of animal. But since the male lead partner is very obsessive, possessive and caring toward the MC I enjoyed it very much. Just a note to everyone if you cannot handle r*pe even after the tag r*pe them don't read. The part where he got... more>> penetrated without consent is mild in my opinion because the male lead is a snake with no conscience and despite that he took care of MC and give MC everything he wants.

this novel is simple, slice of life and happy ending~~ <<less

FYI the main story is completely translated just the extras arent. You can find MTL's of these though and I did enjoz reading the extras because they do round out the ending pretty nicely.

As the tags show it's generally a WebNovel that isn't for everyone. I myself still very much enjoyed it. The focus was put on them being of different species and how their instincts and cultures clash. I think the author did a good job on representing both sides emotions and opinions.

Honestly I’m surprised at myself for coming this far, I mean it was so stressful and annoying that I thought I’d just stop reading it. I guess I had a high expectations because I read similar stories with the primitive society as a setting and I enjoyed them.

like the archer girl that met mermaid or raising hamsters natural enemy.

Translation was so good but the characters and the way they were written wasn’t that good and made people have a false sense of expectations that they shouldn’t have for a primitive non-human shapeshifter or young master with no survival instincts. <<less

I learned that this novel is dropped. And I just read at Ch 88.

I still don't know if Shu Ye is really Shu Hanyu child or from that Hong Zhao-whatshisname--- I have my suspicion. So I'm still waiting to know more about it.

Hope this gets pick up by another translator

... I felt emotionally drained after reading this purely because everything in the tags are exactly as is, do not take it lightly (except for the farming tag bc they foraged for food... I don't know if that counts as farming?).

The MC suffers quite a bit all throughout the novel, but it got better in the final chapters; the aftermath of a tragedy. Don't go and read it all whilst dismissing or disregarding the tags, otherwise you're either going to click out entering a queasy scene or sit and read... more>> through it in horror hahaha. Vague summary: guy transmigrates, gets caught and possessed by huge as snake who wants to copulate with him constantly - snake restricts him of his freedom, giving him only what is necessary and only eases up when he gets what he wants. Guy runs into trouble several times minimum including getting captured by the snake in the entirety of the novel.

Three stars because I read it knowing what to expect, and enjoyed the good experiences (I found it kind of sweet for the ML to be protective of the MC in the last chapters after they separated - trying not to give out spoilers). You're free to skip chapters with the especially sick stuff, there's nothing particularly significant to miss if you find it unbearable (I tried to sit through it, caught a few moments and skipped through until it was safe). It was okay to yum brain rot, but not my kind of brain rot. The plot was okay.

Would I recommend you to read it? not really, but feel free to. <<less

This BL was a first for me. My first time reading a Bestial ML. Like really. But the story is beautiful and very moving. The downside is r*pe, but when you read, try to understand the culture of the ML and the world of the ML. The concept of conceiving is fascinating. Apparently, as long as you eat that fruit, male can then become pregnant.

The MC fell in love with the ML, their love is a type of that syndrome love I forgot the name of. The plot was something... more>> new for me and it did not left me restless. In fact, since I finished reading the novel through mtl, it's quite understandable by the way, the plot gave me a sense that I'm a passerby to their tragic turned sweet love story.

The most memorable for me is when they went to the sea, followed by the birthing process, the emerging of their kids from the egg, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry with Mc's reaction considering that the MC have a phobia (later accepted his snake-ML) with snakes, and to have his children be snakelings but no worries, MC soon got the use of it.

You might find the disregard of ML to his children, but considering that the author gave the ML a snake-thinking, You'll understand.

The second male lead is.. You'll find it. Very savage. Way more savage than the ML.

The extras is beautiful. The mermaid! I have a conflicting view of him haha.

This story is still a progressing translation, after you're done reading the translated version, do try to continue through mtl.

I will tell you I did not read from the beginning I started from around chapter 30 and continued but something happened that made me stop reading this completely:

the MC has snake eggs and they hatch right? But then they grow up and the ML gets constantly jealous of his own children, thinking and waiting until the time he can quickly abandon them.

He, without telling the MC, loses the babies and the MC begs and cries for the ML to get them back but he gets mad and technically has unconsented s*x, with the MC passing out but he just keeps on going in the freezing cold snow. Now I can deal with a bit of a douche bad ML but god damn have I never wanted to bleach my eyes more after reading that scene.

I rate it 4 stars because there are some scenes that I'm uncomfortable reading it like when ML forced MC to eat or having s*x together.

I know that this novel applied realistic approach so when ML and MC can't understand each other because of the difference in language, they unfortunately fall into misunderstanding and forceful acts like that. But I can't accept that kind of acts even if in the later chapters ML changes for the better.

There are also some bloody scene when their children bitten to death by some strange beastman. IT'S TRAUMATIC!!!

I still rate it 4 because ML gradually understand MC's language and the plot changed to fluff with a bit drama (even though sometimes MC feared ML but MC eventually worry and like ML who understands him better than other strange beastman) and the translation is so good (thank you translator-san & Chrysanthemum Garden team)

It is a beautiful novel, I loved it, it really characterizes wildlife as something serious, I ended up reading it from the original, I am a Spanish-speaking person, I use a translator to read and when a stanza was blocked it was difficult for me to keep up with the reading, but the translator does a very good job, worth reading, I love...

I just can say, this is really good novel,... But, beware, its full of snake, ??.... I only can tell, recomendid this story to someone who okey with SNAKE ? and beastly genre!
