Lu Manman and Yuan Xiu live in the same villa, with adjacent rooms. They usually treat each other politely with no issues.

Until the night the team won the match, after the players finished their party and returned to the base, they were startled to find several empty bottles on the coffee table.

Inebriated, Lu Manman pressed Yuan Xiu onto the sofa and began kissing him wildly. Yuan Xiu, with intoxicated eyes, gazed at the ceiling, holding a half-lit cigarette between his fingers.

The teammates fell silent simultaneously, quietly leaving as if they had discovered something extraordinary.

…..
The first time Yuan Xiu encountered Lu Manman was in a game, where he hit her. The girl was lying on the ground, begging for mercy, kneeling before him. Yuan Xiu raised his eyebrows and said, “Come on, call me daddy and I won’t kill you.”

Later, when he truly acted as a father and mother to the little fairy, he thought, “I should have let her call me husband back then.”
…..

In the American professional gaming circle, there’s a curse:
Chinese players will never break into the top twenty in the world championships.

This curse was shattered on the day Lu Manman returned to China.

Forced to retire, she returned home in despair. A year later, she reclaimed her glory, carrying the banner of the domestic professional league towards the world,
In reality, they are ordinary and humble, bullied by classmates, scorned by family, looked down upon by those around them.

Yet it is this group of so-called failures who, in professional gaming competitions, form a savage team that terrifies the world.

So this novel was definitely something worth it after not reading a good novel for a long time the plot the twist and turns the main characters their chemistry speaks about them more the author describe about them.... how the FL fights out her way in her career in whole new country and takes justice for her career and name with the help of her teammates and ml.. how beautifully it has been described loved that.... this is my second novel from this author other one is favourite back to... more>> years when my father was I school....

I love how this author describes the characters background and his or her story irrespective of the fact whether it is a side character or main character.... this author's stories are heart and mind healing plots love them... they touch that memory and emotional part of heart when old school animes used to touch left a lasting impact.... truly Worth it....

The pace of story is strong and not boring gets perfect when FL comes to China to find abd establish herself with new identity and meet ml....

Highly recommended read it if you are in search for good plot and romantic book suffering from not so good mental and emotional health it will slowly heal you no doubt.... works like a therapy 💜
