Strangely enjoyable. If you're looking for a predictable infrastructure building pseudo-BG ("sub-female" lmao) beastman BL, this is not for you. It's just one cheetah man and his two adopted cubs against one wild wild world. Most of the story consists of the gory slice of life of beasts and various vignettes from neighboring animal communities. This, combined with Luo Qiao having no motives beyond 'raise cubs' and 'survive' gives the story a directionless feeling, especially as Luo Qiao admits the children will one day become independent. Also take the "straight uke" tag with a grain of salt. Luo Qiao initially perceives himself as straight, but he doesn't insist on it to the same annoying extent stories with that tag usually do. And unlike most straight ukes who are usually forcibly pleasured into homos*xual submission, Luo Qiao figures it out for himself. Unfortunately, after figuring it out, his experiences with a certain leopard man are not exactly pleasant - but that's hardly surprising considering there's basically no concept of romance or mutual pleasure in this law of the jungle setting. Hopefully this will be part of their growth as characters. I will warn you though, this does ride the line between human and animal when it comes to intimate encounters and how many of the "evolved" characters express their attraction. <<less
