It's good! Sweet moments, sweet MC and doting ML. I didn't actually think this would be a modern supernatural novel. I just thought it would be your old cliche'd BG. Still, it was a good surprise. The comedy is good and the romance is sweet

However, past 90 chapters, the romance technically disappeared and the main CP only appeared in the side stories. I think one of the reviewer also mentioned this. It may be a bit boring especially if you are here for the romance. Thinking it over, the romance... more>> part also seemed to be quite short.

The comedy is pretty good tho.

General: 8/10

A nice story with good plot, fine translation and a good dose of humor. Has a slight twist in epilogue ;)

Translation: 9/10 although the chapter numbering got messed up when translators changed.

+ loved additiobal chapters

+ good FL (slightly naive as she is young but overall logical and decisive). She is not OP or amazingly beautiful or rich

+ good ML (handsome, reasonable, not overly depressed taking into account his past, not the domineering CEO). Good guy. Really

+ grandpa and brother (amazing characters, loved the side stories)

+ awesome and realistic depiction of Underworld

Just finished reading this and it's quite adorable. Definitely a strong-willed female character, but not in the way I was expecting when I saw that it was one of those return-back-to-rich-birth-family stories.

Awesome novel!

Very OP main character who goes on a lot of adventures and solves lots of mysteries related to ghosts and the supernatural. The first half was probably the most enjoyable for me as the MC was so surprised and addicted to trying to fund her village road construction, it was hilarious and super cute.

Also the whole portrayal of the underworld and her grandpa was a lot of comedic relief. The best part is that MC doesn't fail to lose her awesomeness even later on in the story, such as... more>> when showing off to old metaphysical fogeys.

ML has a secret/OP/mysterious past in addition to being secret/OP/mysterious in the modern world. TBH, I think he could have been toned down a bit more. In the later stages he is basically a cheat code for anything that is "too strong" for MC to defeat.

The supporting cast of characters are pretty good and fun as well. In this world, you don't get too many crazy jealous women or backstabbing college roommates (MC's college roommates are surprisingly adorable and wholesome and I wish they had more screen time).

The ending wraps up very neatly and some of the side character tragedies get HEs as well, so kudos to the author for that.

Overall a pretty great translation and very enjoyable read. I do recommend. <<less

This novel is hilarious and I can't hammer the Like button fast enough. I actually agree that the name Xishi really doesn't suit this MC, not because of that weird beauty standard about skin colour, but because Xishi was famous for being a sickly beauty, and this girl is clearly a healthy, bouncing little gangster! Quick press on chapter 1 to read about her shameless adventures! 5 stars.

This story wasn't bad. I think I would have rated it a lot higher if I hadn't misunderstood the other reviews and thought that there was a lot of romance and lovey dovey dog food in this story. Instead, this is mainly a story about a strong ghost busting girl and her journey in succeeding and failing at exorcising the numerous ghosts in the city and in her ML's body.

I feel like the plot was excessively convoluted with all of the back and forth of the ML's body and then... more>> all the memories from what sounded like many different reincarnations, though only one was really revealed at the end. Would have appreciated more fleshing out at the end of the story instead of just cramming everything into extras. Not a bad story. <<less

I enjoyed this one tremendously! I like all the characters and their dynamics. The story itself flows smoothly and even the author quips and extra additions are enjoyable. The hysterical aspect of the metaphysical world reminded me of the works of Butterfly Shadow. I will be exploring the author and reading their other works.

Edit: The ending fizzled out unlike any of Butterfly's plots. It was definitely entertaining enough but not worth 5 Stars. The translator was great!
