The system cautiously looked at Ye Bingshang, who was crying, and said, “Master, he’ll pick you.”

“Let Ye Bingshang go,” Tantai Jin ordered without hesitation.

I didn't see the tag! Damn tragedy. I don't like tragedy but this story captivated me so, I finished it in one seating. Their love story is so tragically beautiful, I cried.

I came here expecting a regret trope.. I got it and more. What a roller-coaster emotion ride. 😭 Worth the read

God I seriously hope there is character development for the FL cause instead of righteous she comes across as a spiteful brainless dodo. Like if she knew that the ML was bound to turn evil and is fine in the present times shouldn't her first thought be to not put him in situations which will arouse feelings of resentment and vengeance. Instead she keeps treating him like sh*t further aggravating the situation. 🙄

I actually really hate this author BECAUSE OF THE TORTURE THE ML WENT THROUGH OMG BUT ITS SO GOOD I CANT STOP READING IT CUZ I WANT TO SEE THE END

i mtld this so maybe some nuances were not translated well but damn as a lover of mary sue novels this had me bawling and asking for the ab*se chapter after chapter.

Highly recommend to anyone who is also a masochistic reader

Wow dropped. I couldn’t even make it 5 chapters in.

I tried to persist for whatever reason despite all the reviews shitting on this novel but yeah.

This just pisses me off. The MC treats the ML like f*cking sh*t in the beginning when cruelly whipping him for literally no reason.

She’s trying to self justify her shitty behaviour by saying the ML is the greatest evil 500 years later - where she’s originally from- but when she keeps comparing how cruel the OG MC is to the ML and the fact that... more>> she’s doing the same thing the OG MC is doing... it just makes the MC look equally as cruel.

It’s hard to read even harder to stomach.

Beyond cruel and sadistic, just frustrating to treat a human being this way. f*ck this novel. <<less

Beautiful translation, beautiful story.

The author writes characters in a way that no matter how bizarre or senseless their actions may seem, you understand WHY they make them.

FL acts as a lofty immortal would at first; of course she bullies the ML, he's evil!... In her mind, anyway.

... more>> The ML's backstory gives all the insight anyone needs to his deranged behavior; I never once wondered why he did something, because it always fit!

the way the two soften to one another, the way they break each other and mix up the shards.... so good!!! <<less

The beginning is okay but after the Ye Xiwu arc, it just went downhill. The FL and ML both have no mouths, and so many misunderstandings happen between them for no reason if they could just communicate!! I also was very disgusted when the male lead massacred an entire city of innocent people like it wasn't his fault that he did not pick the fl, and she chose to kill herself and now you regret it. I know he has a very tragic past but I don't like how because of their relationship, it hurt a lot of innocent people like the second male lead too... He became a tool to fuel the relationship between the leads, and just to have him die like that!!

I also felt like the female lead's character has a bit of a problem. She is considered a goddess who loves the people of the world which is why she turns back 500 years, but there was a part where the ML hurt innocent people and she didn't even do anything or show an emotional response. I feel like as someone who has a purpose to help and care for the innocent people of the world, it doesn't make sense. Why can she love the male lead who mu*dered her family and entire sect, but can't at least forgive and sympathize her sister who was bullied by the original Ye Xiwu? I also found it annoying how the author kept writing how beautiful the FL is, and comparing it to the other females like comparing breast size???! Are you serious? FL is not a bad person, but she isn't all that good of a person either considered her status.

I also dislike how we can sympathize the male lead, but not the second female lead? The male lead is just as evil as the second fl, but he gets an excuse for it? I know the male lead had a tragic past, but the second FL also doesn't necessary lack one either. Like I know she is a horrible and selfish person, but it just feels so double standard when the author loves his son... Like people say that the male lead suffers a lot, but I think the FL suffers a lot more. I don't know, this was just so mentally tiring to read this.

This is a good build story. The characters are all enchanting with their own purposes. There is always a predictable twist but still interesting to follow. Sadly the good translation couldn't get through to the end.

I actually feel very sad for the ML, I know he is being portrayed as an evil character but his life is just too sad and miserable to follow. He had never given a chance to choose since the get go, and the world keep crushing him to no end. He is being abandoned by... more>> the world since the moment he born, hence why he also abandoned the world.

The FL is no bad by any mean, but her prejudice is making me sick at some point. She try to keep on giving on her own accord then demand, when he don't comply and give back to her, she end up blaming him to the max. She know his origin, his capability and his capacity, but when it come to the important part she keep ignore it and put him on the human normal standard. Now, now, this is why you never try to try any hero play if you ain't one.

It's truly choking me when seeing people like her, I might taking it too personal at this point but I have never feel so infuriated by a character like this. It's not hate just a pure annoyance. Her half assed action are the one who hurting many parties but she putting the blame solely on him, and always think of herself as a victim. The author 3rd parties naration also very annoying. But well if it's being written to smoothly then it won't be a tragedy after all.

The story is amazing though, happy ending through the endless tragedy. (Well, I'm not sure either but at least from my scanning read I think it's a happy ending?) <<less

My tragic part of this one is the can stand-alone arc chapter 39-46. It really made my tears escape from my eyelids.

Whoever said that the black and white moonlight didn't have animosity with one another? Anyway, I stopped because it got tiring after the Li Susu killed herself off. I mean we kind of got to see what will happen next but it really failed to keep my interest, once I got past what was on the blurb I can't see why I would stay. This story is soooo underrated!! I dunno why it only has 3.7 rating !!

In search of gold I found a gem!!If you are a fan of romantic novel but you also want tragic and comedy in it.... this one is for you.... tbh I cried my eyes out one moment and laugh uncontrollably in another moment till my cheeks start hurting......

I am a bit mixed about this novel. Loved the FL and disliked the ML very much. He never deserved her. Even though he sacrificed himself at the end and somewhat redeemed the sins he committed in the arc in the immortal world. But what about the sins he committed in the 1st arc in the mortal world? The torture and the suffering he inflicted her? The few acts of goodness are far from being enough to redeem him. Yes he ended up killing his white moonlight and he suffered... more>> a lot. Still not good enough.

Though I strongly dislike the ML for all the ab*se, I still liked the plot. The romance part is twisted.

Now the FL is far from being perfect but that made her only more likable to me.

And the ending was quite satisfying however. <<less

Let me tell you—this novel is so fun to read! But like others have said, the fact that the FL and ML are constantly in a love-hate relationship can be so frustrating. At some point, I got really annoyed because I felt both of them lacked communication and just let the misunderstandings spiral out of control 🥹😭. Honestly, I almost dropped the novel and wanted to scream at both of them for their s*upidity. But at least the ending was worth it 🫡.

The story has 131 chapters with 8 extras. It was divided into 3 arcs.

In the first arc, we have Li Susu transmigrating into Ye Xiwu's body. Once her mission was done, she returned to her real body which started the second arc, 500 years after the first arc. The third arc started after 1000 years of the second arc. This time, Li Susu goes by the name Sangjiu.

Basically, the story was about Tantai Jin who will be the Demon Lord. He had an Evil Bone in him which rendered him not having any feeling. He married Ye Xiwu but, because of him, her family end up all dead. Her wish was to save her family and stop Tantai Jin from becoming the Demon Lord. This was when Li Susu transmigrated into Ye Xiwu's body and promised to fulfill her dream.

Tantai Jin had a white moonlight in his heart, Ye Bingchang. But, somehow he started to have feelings for his wife. During an occasion where his brother tried to usurp the throne, Tantai Jin was given a choice, saved his wife or Ye Bingchang and he chose Ye Bingchang thinking that his wife's Shadow Guard will save her. To get to this part, you have to read almost half the book. The groveling started in their second life after Tantai Jin found out that Li Susu was his wife only in a different body.

The book was in the progress of translating and it will take some time. The good news was that it will be adapted into a drama with the title Till The End Of The Moon.

I am in shock with MC's actions. Claiming to be a righteous immortal and yet still inflicting harm? Even if ML was the future big devil, how can she still claim to be righteous? This is why I cant read Xianxia novels. (╯_╰)

Anyways, as said by previous readers, you have to strengthen your willpower to read through this novel. Honestly the world building seems poor to me and I don't feel any likeness towards any character even though I've just barely read it.

and while many feel sympathy with ML's torture, due to MC's actions, I do understand why she would do such thing as well as the orginal with how ML saved Ye Bingshang first despite being married to OG (doesnt mean I'm justifying her actions)

This definitely deserves a higher rating. The plot and character development in this novel are simply amazing. This novel is definitely an emotional rollercoaster--it can make you cry buckets of tears at one point, throw curses at another, and on some very few points give you some well-deserved breaks. The emotions in this work are portrayed so realistically that it captures the twisted and imperfect part of human characters. If you can survive all the angst and heartbreaks, you'll be rewarded with some sweet chapters at the end of the... more>> novel. It's simply one of the best reads I found in 2021. <<less

A solid novel that gets to your heart strings. If you're looking for an angsty read, this is it! The only gripe I had with it was that it's kind of long, drags slightly, but I'm also quite an impatient reader so that's also a factor.

Finally I tried to read this book after seeing the synopsis which is interesting. It's easy to fall in love with the female lead, and pity the pathetic male lead. As the story goes on, their relationship becomes much better, it's just that many secrets are still being kept, and this makes me very curious! Can't wait to read more.

Up to 49 chapter included, this was a great novel. Though the most of my tears were shed during a kinda flashback about another pair of characters that kinda parallels the main CP but not really - I have only positive feelings regarding this story.

The slow burn is slow but promises a very bright flame by the end of it.

Good use of the cultivation/devil's and demons/spirits mythology and world building.

There's no resentment between MC and the eldest sister, which is quite novel and I appreciate it very much. Yeah, they're... more>> antagonistic, mostly unintentionally so far - and it will be so much powerful when it does become intentional.

Can't wait for the story to reach the point described in the summary. <<less
