Can't do half stars, but would probably give this a 3 and half starts because, honestly, it made me want to rip my hair out until chapter 300 or so (maybe sooner, can't exactly remember when it took a turn for the better). If you can hang on till then it gets much better. Plus side is the chapters are somewhat short, especially at the start, so it doesn't take that long to get to the better parts.

The whole novel is based around the misunderstandings of the main couple. Each... more>> thinks the other is in love with someone else and refuses to make a move on them because they don't want to be rejected and/or want the other to be happy so give up before confessing. During the fake marriage the ML was a total jerk and the MC was a giant pushover.
Spoiler

Really, who would go back to the dude after he rather violently r*ped her several times??

However, once they get out of the fake marriage and start going after each other it gets much better. The main couple acts so sweet with each other it nearly gave me cavities.

As for the secondary couples, one story I liked and the other I felt was rushed/forced. The relationship with the ML's half brother I enjoyed reading. He was a total jerk to his mistress/girlfriend when the author started writing about them, but it became really heartbreaking when they split up.
Spoiler

He thought she aborted their child, made a grave for the baby, and would visit the grave and cry about how much he missed both the baby and the mother. Granted, I also felt sorry for her before they even split up because of how much of a clueless jerk he was.

MC's cousin got stabbed protecting MC which ended up damaging her lady parts and making it almost impossible for her to get pregnant. She knew this from the start and kept getting treatment for years (8 I think?) trying to fix the problem. All the while her husband had come to terms with not having children even though he really wanted them. MC's cousin finally had what I guess was a breakdown and tried to get her husband to sleep with someone else who liked him so she could divorce him and he could have a "complete family." Plan, of course, failed and husband came home to comfort wife. Then they adopted a child.

What bothers me is that from breakdown to adoption happened in the span of one short chapter. It just felt so rushed compared to the other secondary couple. Plus, there is no reason that they couldn't have adopted earlier and still tried to solve her infertility issues. Everything about this couple just seemed so half done, it would have almost been better to leave the relationship out of the story.

Overall, I would say it is worth reading if you can struggle through the frustrating start. <<less
