I'm here for face slapping moment but sadly there's not much of it in this story. Instead, most of it consisted of how perfect MC was and how smart MC's son was. Their way to the richdom were so smooth with the help of heroine and MC's cheat. And there was also:

The future Fu Yu (MC's son) 's soul inside the current Fu Yu aka Xia Xingchen who also helped Xingchen develop skin care formula for MC's company. He also helped him get a dirt of Xia Jing's past thus destroy her completely.

To be honest, more than half of this story was a bit boring. It got more interesting near the end because of the face slapping moment but like I said in the beginning, there's not much of it so I'm not satisfied at all. Of coures there were also a good point in this story, such as:

There's no ML in this story. It's not like other typical transmigration novel where MC will live happily ever after with some CEO. In this novel, MC chose her own happiness, that is to enjoy a rich single life and eat whatever she wants with her children.

As for other points that make me disappointed:

  • I don't like it when MC forced future Fu Yu out of Xingchen's body. Yes he was a bit vicious but he did not harm to the current Xiangchen and he longed to be loved too. He also helped MC and her son so much. In fact without him, MC won't get a formula of skin care that will make her rich and also she won't get rid of Xia Jing easily. I really hoped that MC will let future Fu Yu to coexist with the current Xiangchen, at least until he felt that he too was loved. Too bad, MC let him go. I could only wish that he got a better life in his new life somewhere out there.
  • I don't like it when people roasted Xia Jing because of her past as a child pro**itu**. She was a victim back then. Of course her acts towards MC were another case. She deserved to be punished for what she had done to MC but not for her past.
  • Till the end, the author didn't specifically tell who were Xiangchen's biological parents. If he was also trafficked in the past, didn't his biological parent deserve to know his whereabout too?
  • As for Fu Xian, he really deserved it. I'm really happy that MC didn't end up with him although they shared a daughter together. Our MC deserved better.

I came here knowing what to expect, and I enjoyed it. It's simple and not complicated. I looked at the tags and the reviews, and knew the story was just simple face-slapping and many moments where she either face-slaps or spends time with her child ... more>>

. Many complain about how the story makes no sense and fries their braincells, but if they read the tags and genre, they would know that logic wasn't the purpose of the story. They review the story while not understanding what it's about, and complain. This story is a comedic, slice of life, and no logic type of story that you would just read to feel comfortable. <<less

While I admit that this is an unrealistic Mary Sue book, it was fun and cute. I was looking for a cute child rearing book, and this did the trick.

It was also kinda nice to have a child rearing book that didn't switch to almost entirely romance half-way through. (There's no ML in a book with a female protagonist. Shock!)

At first I was going to give a lower rating, however it is tagged as a "Slice of Life" so I wasn't expecting some kind of convoluted or well-constructed plot.

This story deserves its share of attention not because of the overly-common elements: Transmigration, Mary Sue, Face-slapping (a lot of face slapping), but because it ties all knots in the end ... more>>

The beginning reminded me a bit of Unruly Phoenix Xiao Yao, but then it mixed a lot of other different elements without making it sound forced. I confess that I got a bit bored with all the repetition of: being dirtied-face slapping- being dirtied- face slapping.... nevetheless, it is a light hearted story and its a good read.

The element which caught my attention in this story is that: There was no ML (and it suited this story really well, because it is so forced to try to put an overly capable ML for this type of OP FL, I was ok with just her son being above the norm

Loved the beginning and loved the ending. Didn't really enjoy the filler in the middle. Actually, the ending was probably the best part of this series. Some good face-slapping and then some heartwarming revelations. I'm happy that there was no ML in this series. I like the feeling of independence and working towards having a good life.

That was fun. There's no male lead, which I found I appreciated by the end.

Some of the steamrolling done towards the conclusion was getting boring, but thankfully it doesn't drag and it isn't a focus.

There's also some occasional schizophrenia in the writing. I'm not sure if that's because of a mistaken translation (where they forgot to type 'not') etc. But it's never anything huge.

... more>> The plot twists and reveals were interesting enough, and by the end I was quite satisfied by how everything unveiled and worked out.

I think, perhaps, that the characters were more interesting in the author's other novel, Fake Villain Turned Into Cannon Fodder, though. <<less

I loved it, the ending was very happy, the protagonist is funny and you can see her emotional growth. When the novel begins she is very closed off, very cold, bus with the passage of time you can see she starting to care about others.

The relationship between mother and son is so sweet.

I was really happy with the ending, I even cried a bit in the final chapters.

this was truly a gem. No messy angsty romance. this was like taking a break from the anxiety of day to day life, I highly recommend. It is just happiness. and I am so thankful I found it. the translation is solid, and the story is sweet. and best of all! no ML!, so I don't have to read about s*upid adult men doing s*upid men things and then the FL still decides to be with them. am I bitter? maybe... but this story certainly sweetened my soul. Wow this is satisfying read! The MC is living koi with cheats. And she was a cold blooded shrewd businesswoman borderline hedonist.

I like how the writer wrote her character. She was an interesting chara I've encountered. And even though she was beautiful and successful she was brutally honest in accepting that all of it is not from her own work but bcs she hv a cheat.

I also love her interaction with the children. She was not pretentious and she was clear she hv no affection towards children and always true... more>> to herself.

The ending was also well executed and I like how the writer decided to left this story with no ML. The MC is strong, successful and happy without man.

FL has a vast amount of luck but is good. Just disregard that fact and it’s amazing. Cute and loose ends were tied nicely without much of the s*upid back and forth that normally happens. When FL took care of tr*sh family, she really took care of them cleanly.

also NO FRICKING ML!!!!! That is what got me. No ML but instead she has a bunch of cute friends and kids.

removed 1 star for the Mary Sue plot line tho

If ya need a strong FL who knows not everything revolves around having a ml.

Tis is the one for ya.

As a person who usually jumps in the books after checking out the ending. I say this was worth it.

Give it a shot you won't regret it.

I liked it, the protagonist is clear about what she wants and knows when to give in a little, sometimes it's very op but that's okay, now comes a spoiler,

I like that in the end she doesn't need a man, I think romance wasn't necessary, as a woman she can achieve whatever she wants without the need of a man, it was something new in this kind of stories.

This story is really underrated. I always check the ratings before reading from novelupdates, so I had ignored this on for a long time.

I like how this story is not romantic but still beautiful. I like the Female Lead for her decisiveness. She was cold hearted but later her heart got warmer. I love childrem whenever I read novels and this was to my appetite. I also like the decision for her daughter at the end. This one is really my cup of tea.

I really like this novel and the fact that there is no ML. Instead you see a very capable FL who loves her children, eating, and luxury. Awesome story - wouldn't mind reading another by the author or in the same franchise.

The translator did a great job translating this novel.

I was not lost or confused while reading it and that made me enjoy the novel more.

The story itself has a lot of loopholes but for light reading, it was a great read for me.

I'd recommend this for those who like reading transmigration and without looking at it realistically 'cause it's a fantasy.

And once again, GREAT JOB!!! To both the translator and the writer!

It makes me sad that it wasn't longer.

The story is nice and concise without too many elements being thrown in. Some story elements that hint at something deeper are unfortunately left behind but don't detract from the excellent execution of the story flow.

The writing flow is nice and smooth, only stuttering once in a while, and quickly picks back up before it becomes uncomfortable.

The story itself is currently saturated in the Chinese novel media but it is executed in such a way as to make it stand out as an... more>> excellent example of the Female-Lead-Returning-From-The-Apocalypse theme.

Definitely a fine read since it hooked me deep enough to binge read over a twenty-four hour period. <<less

Its pretty good so far but the one big thing that has me fairly annoyed is the whole "Delicate Mother" bit. The name of the book is misleading. Sure she is delicate to the extreme in the beginning but then a mcguffin gets introduced after she discovers just how weak she is. After obtaining said mcguffin fairly fast *boom* she ain't no weak sheet anymore. Right then it sorta just lost the whole appeal of a struggling "strong" women against the world bit and turned itself into a one punch... more>> man comic book. I personally was assuming they would go down the knowledge/tactics route for her strengths but instead they give her some god like pendent that makes her physically stronger while she sleeps, spoilers lol. That said the book is like many other Chinese novels with overpowered main characters. Personally I'm holding out in hopes that she gets the "Delicate Mother" bit back because nothing is better then a protagonist with multiple Achilles heels. <<less
