This MC beta son of a turtle really got a knack for getting on my nerves.

Speaking & thinking about cringe-worthy lines for a living, getting embarrassed for his own body (and soul), and squealing like a pig that's about to be slaughtered on dangerous situations (airplane crash scene).

I'm fine with freezing due to fear, shivering like a washing machine, or even fainting, but screaming is untolerable. An MC has to at least have enough self-control to not scream like a lil bit*h in the face of danger. Else it's too... more>> relatable and I don't want to see my own pathetic self in a novel I read. Even freezing seems exaggerated to me, but I never experienced such fears so that's that. I hope I never experience such a thing because I still like my happy-go-lucky life.

Maybe it'll become better later on with character growth, but I have no patience for such a thing. I couldn't even wait for Overgeared's lil bit*h MC's growth so I also can't do it for this novel. Equality for all. <<less

Hmm. I kind of regret giving this 5 stars. 3 or 4 is more proper. The world building is actually surprisingly good. Much of what is introduced has a use later down the line. If a character is introduced, they will have some significance later.

The plot is also pretty alright, I won’t mention any points as that’s spoilers and I don’t know how to spoiler tag stuff here. But there’s a lot of info to take in and a lot of mysteries to unravel. Plot is decent.

The world builds itself... more>> around Japan, with much of the characters holding mythological or historical significance from Japan. Goddesses, like Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu, oni like Shuten Doji and Tamamo no Mae, even court officials like Suguwara no Michizane. Which I find rather interesting because I don’t know any of them. So this effectively teaches me some of Japanese mythology, and I love mythology.

I got to say though, the author can calm down on the mentions of their breasts and ass, the bondage, the spanking, I don’t know where people find it fun to write about girls peeing, there’s a lot of weird sh*t written that you just have to kind of ignore. <<less

It's pretty much a NSFW kind of read. All the sweat or body emphasis will either turn you off or turn you on. With that in mind. If you expect any sort of "story" rating from me, it's going to be with a NSFW pe*vert Yuri fan frame of mind. Right off the bat, the "official story" rating starts with a 0.5 stars and any adding to that is if I can happen to find it in the midst of the NSFW. Like reading hentai and somehow finding a "good... more>> thought provoking premise" amongst the NSFW. "NSFW story" rating is 4 stars right now and I look forward to the FL "teasing" the MC some more. Not 5 stars because no visuals other than cover which is "safe".

The raws are hard to read through with machine translation so I'm waiting for the translator to finish translating another arc/volume before I try to read more if I'm that dead bored to want to read more. Also with the above said, I would have to skim or skip through the world building and get to the juicy stuff.

Idk how people can keep reading these CN with NSFW cause without visuals, it makes it harder to skim to the juicy stuff. At least there isn't any extreme angst or NTR to it, otherwise it would be a hard hard hard drop for me. Like how I dropped Loli Elf & Her Happy Life. <<less
