Nice and slow pace in the beginning - it was a start of a hero's journey which was pleasant to read.

It devolved into an actual joke with the most screentime taken by juggling far too many harem members with protagonist himself being comedically oblivious about it. This so-called "protagonist" is barely an actual character and has no personality. No, his traumatic past is not "a personality", even if he brings it up from time to time.

The worst part is the way the novel adds new harem members. To make sure they have a proper connection with the MC they are forced by the story to spend time together, while the previous heroines get catapulted to the stratosphere. Do the same thing again with the next one. It is so shamelessly methodical, this isn't even funny - just bad. <<less

The story was going great, slow and cliche but good enough interactions and relationships, but it all crashed down when the author repeatedly assert that protagonist is a loser too lost in the past tomove on.
