Now, the story cons:

1. The author turned the FL into a Mary Sue. Does every man have to fall in love with her? Well, except Luo...
2. Also, there are quite a few deus ex machina devices (the talking cactus and the ultra-rare bloodthirsty plant), but they kinda work since the FL has been introduced as a horticulturalist.
3. The poor OFL....I feel so sorry for her. Once I finished the book, I was reminded that Lin Qianzi was probably only 15-16, if that. At that age, of course, all she thinks about is love and relationships! She's a teenager! Of course, she doesn't see the big picture and can't recognize when someone's using her. She's been pampered and spoiled her entire life. Of course, she falls for a smooth talker who says the right words and is good in bed. Girls today still fall for boys (and men) like that. Nothing new there. And of course, she believes the horrible rumors about her fiancee, who is supposed to be bloodthirsty and brutal to women! Her father and his boss (the emperor) have been the ones spreading those rumors, or at least helping them along, so if you never hear anything positive about your fiance, you'd believe what you hear!

I remember being 15. I remember thinking the world revolved around me and that I was special and unique! Why wouldn't Lin Qianzi feel that way? So of course she was taken advantage of time and time again. It was bound to happen! She was a spoiled girl, having been brought up thinking she's always right and that if she complains someone will take revenge for her because that's clearly what her father, Minister Lin, did time and time again. He covered up her sins, made excuses, and never really reprimanded her! And how did her story end? With the ML and the new FL selling her to a second-class brothel, where she again fell for the slick words of one of her customers and refused to leave, even when her father was trying to rescue her from that place. (sigh)

Her initial objective was to stay alive so she can come back. This requires her to lay low and hug-a-thigh, which is where the comedy lies. Her chicken out attitude, that may seems naive for those who took it as she's being sincere, also adds to the entertainment.

But then her objective changed into protecting the one she loves, which was awesome! And we get to see a more courageous MC.

But I really don't get how he can stoop so low to dote on the villain in the previous life. I just can't see any positive light in the villain's previous life.

Btw im very happy that Yu Kuang & Song Jia Yue finally can find their own happiness and not stuck for FL love for the rest of their life... (even they not telling or making story about how Song Jia Yue can find her own wife)

Last but not least, to bad there is no extra chapter for Luo Yunzheng, and there is no explain for what happening to him too 😢😢😢
