I'm going to keep this short and simple. I genuinely love the chemistry between the MC and ML! The snusnu are a huge yes (I would say the same level on Lucia bc both ML really be going at it haha) and the plot itself has a really good development. I highly recommend anyone who wants to read this.

Just a warning though, there will be violence which the translator does an amazing job at notifying at the beginning of each chapter and you might get attached to the characters. *Sniff*... more>> I know I am. ;') <<less

Wow!!! I am just so floored by this novel that I had to write a review. This is the first novel that I have rated 5 from all the ones I have read. And trust me, I have read many.

anyhow, yes as all other reviewers said this really reached you all the way in. Very strong plotline and super sexy smut. BUT what I didn’t expect that while being a smut-heavy story, it has equally intense romance. Kuddos to author for that. Initially I was reluctant to read it, but... more>> the way story twists in the mid, it makes you completely engaged with the characters. You can feel their pain, love, angst and even the unfairness of life itself. Its not like other lovey-dovey asian novels, its intense. Despite all the dirty world it presents, you want to become lost in the main characters’ love and bonding. Imo, initial 1, 2 chapters are little slow, but please bear with it. The story becomes interesting as you proceed. But yes, this is a must read. <<less

This was so cliche, that it was beyond cliche lol

I would even dare to accuse author of being pretty lazy and using the storyline of not one but several crime movies with similar storylines. They outright didn't write anything new. I'd say they managed to make it worse with the portrayal of ML and other male characters and their dialogues (ahaha they were so edgy.."You're my woman", "Don't sleep with anyone but me" ahahaha). And it also was hysterical, because of the way they wrote it. Anyway, they just took... more>> advantage of existing plots and threw steamy s*x scenes here and there and that was it. I came here just to read of steamy novel, who knows it might have even a decent plot, I'm an adult person and I don't shy away from such things and sometimes you want something passionate. But I was so distracted by the plot that was nothing new and those dialogues and overbearingness, because I was reading and almost predicting what will happen next, but also marveled at some cliche obliviousness of the main female character.

I honestly expected more, especially with high ratings. I can honestly admit that I rarely read Korean novels, so I had no idea how low the ratings are when it comes to Korean novels (I mean with the average feels 3, 5-3, 6, come on). Even without reading you can see that the stories they like to write about are either some fantasy realm/kingdom with foreign names or something urban and sometimes this edgy. Don't you find them edgy when they say those overbearing things? :'D

SPOILERish review:

EunHa joins a criminal organization Serim with a future goal of finding and obliterating the person responsible for the death of her parents. Being a beautiful tool and nothing more in the hands of Serim's boss EunHa gets her new task, to seduce and kill Shin KyungHyun, who is the right-arm man of the boss she's after. The start sound old, but still amazing, all those dangerous plots a lot of promising adrenaline, I wish, but to me we're off at a pretty off-putting start. I have no idea why author decided to make the first scene with the boss so disgusting tbh, to show that EunHa is ready to go through anything just to reach her goal, but it honestly gave a feeling that every male character has a d*ck between their ears and think only with their groin. The mere thought that he spent 10 years and had such attitude towards her.. I don't like to read about such stuff. I wanted to say - girl, just chop his d*ck off, get up and leave. He groomed you when you were young, do you think it's worth it?

With plots like that it certainly feels a bit lousy when a character enters organization for a purpose like that. If you ask me, when you know your target you may go for it by entering yourself and later finding the chance and do it, after all EunHa felt like a kamikaze at times. But how else will you have a chance to give her a traumatic experience past, if not make her into a tricked teen, because of her trauma she might have discarded some of the memories of that night and did not think it through when she met SungHo again, but the brutality made her wish for revenge and she lost it to that desire. But honestly, I don't think it works for a long period of time, yup her will was broken through basic torture, but.. I always feel that it's particularly satisfying that when someone goes through disturbing experience, they are able to process it and rise above it. She's also portrayed as smart, at least they say it like that. But when you start analyzing the situation, you are left with some questions. Especially when the beneficiary of that situation is right in front of you. Like absolutely no clue, not thinking that something is fishy in those 10 years? Okay. The first chapter and getting a glimpse at her past and knowing her parents died my first thought was - the boss is the one who did it, obviously. I think even author makes it feel obvious too. But otherwise we wouldn't have that heartbreaking realization scene.

Here movies do it better, why? Because they ask the right question - not only who killed my parents, but WHY they died. Motive~. If she ever bothered to self-reflect, she'd defintely find some loopholes, especially when it comes to wasting whole 10 years doing a whole bunch of other things that benefitted no one, but that jackass of Serim. When it comes to revenge with a single target thing happen like in Kill Bill, you know the one person who did it and you kill them. Or John Wick. Bam, gone. Simple. When knowing that one boss is responsible you wouldn't do all those unneccessary things throughout the years, you would hone yourself as a blade and think of a way how to do it.

Excluding the part that all men think only with their dicks (all the overbearing and pervy stuff ahhaha honestly, how h**ny was he that he was ready at all times), ML was portrayed conforming to what he is. He is paranoid, he is suspicious, which is hard psychologically, but he is right to do that in his position, it helped him deal with many things. I'm not even mad at their affection. It's shallow, it's hardly mutual, but they're compatible. After all compatibility plays a huge role for some sort of starting line. But maybe it's a trend where woman is more unfazed, while the man is going crazy.

But I admit I laughed hard enough when we find out that he's a cop. Like of course there is someone undercover. Justice must prevail and all evil punished, otherwise what.

Their first meeting though sounded lousy. But there has to be a reason for her to leave an impression, no matter how crude that part was. Author needs it to progress the plot, deal with it. I don't understand why people think she is a smart and strong FL, just because someone told her those things, she's not without it, but it was more like occassional thing imo, her better part is in the latter part I think (not really). Starting from approaching ML. When you don't want a very paranoid person suspect you, you don't move so obviously. But whatever. Sometimes spy movies are more true about this part where you don't act strangely abruptly.. Where they said about infiltration for years this part was quite true, since not many things can be done in a day, it also makes the boss SungHo sound silly as well. Like you need a nail next to KyungHyun, you send people, why not send her earlier and not make it all so rushed. After all KyungHyun saw through her as well, and if it wasn't for them knowing each other from the past who knows where she'd have ended up.

But there is nothing much to say about the storyline in general, the events felt quite short and since it's a steamy novel, there's a lot of that in-between stages of met-found the truth-operation "capture all bastards". When it comes to Korean novels, it's like - hello pron~*. Not all authors, but some feel like they put the importance of steam scenes first and don't really think about the situation and logic of what is happening around that steamy scene, if there is a decent plot it doesn't matter much though. And although you may think this is a decent plot, I still stand by saying that it feels like a convenient rip off *shrug*

The only truly decent part that is worth mentioning is how raw and true it was is EunHa's reaction after finding out the truth and when it dawned on her. Hysteria, shame, she wanted to end it all once and for all, impulsively. And here where her true smartness kicked in and she asked to sedate herself, because she knew she would do something if she was left to her devices.

Despite the idea of having this very tragic FL, big guys still get what they deserve, although n a very roundabout way, that could have been avoided, but otherwise we wouldn't see all these crazy stuck together plots happening. It was so movie-like. <<less

Wanted to read this because it's short, complete and I heard the female MC was smart, capable and strong.

While the ML is, and is absolutely perfect to me, I can't continue this because I'm sorry, it's my opinion, but I find her so s*upid... I like beautiful MC too, but here it's like it's the only thing she has for her.

Seriously, you tell me it's be TEN YEARS she does her job of being in a gang, cheating men, being badass but at the start of her new mission she is immediately recognized bc she didn't thought she could be heard through listening devices ?? And like, she is so obvious meeting him first at the tennis court... And then the worst, she want to listen at the DOOR to hear his secrets but didn't think they would be camera to watch her. I mean how dumb and not professional is that ? Then she just cry in anguish and act like a kid when she's discovered... 0 charisma there

Holy Moly! It was freaking worth it. I regret nothing by reading this. The ML is so freaking hot and ofcorse ehem those scenes too. A great plot and a great characters. The ML is possesive and I like those type of guy when reading lmao

The story and character development is really good. ML is really masculine which is really my type. I don't have much to say really. Phasing, characters, chemistry is so good that once you started it's hard to put down the book. It's a 5 for me.

Lots of smut, packed with action and smothered with romance. Oh, and there are some pretty unexpected plot twists.

FL is very stubborn, and sometimes it makes me go "sErIOusLY?!?!?" and other times I'm like "yaaas QUUEEEENNN." ML is super hot and dominating. FL is charming and sassy. The plot progresses nicely and keeps you engaged. The plot twist... oh the PLOT TWISTS... yassss... so unexpected. By the time you get half way through the story, you think you know how it's going to end, but nooooo. The author hits you... more>> with a series of jaw dropping plot twists. The FL goings through a lot of character development and so does the ML. I wouldn't really call their interactions sweet, it's more steamy and tense. The story itself is on the unique side. I rate it a 3.8. <<less

I actually quite liked this story. On one hand we have lots of s*x scenes, on the other hand, we have a plot. I’m quite happy that the s*x didn’t overshadow the plot, this is what kept me moving. The main characters actually had chemistry together, I liked how the ML gave off “hurt her and I’ll kill you” vibes. It was hot... Now let’s talk of the plot twist! The freaking plot twist! I didn’t even expect it. I was so sure that I’d figured everything out and then... more>> boom! A freaking amazing plot twist happened and loved it! Ok, let me calm down, next let’s see... the fl. She was honestly such a queen. Didn’t let the ML do everything for her and took revenge into her own hands. She only faced her goal rarely letting anything stop her. I know some people got annoyed with her not following the plan buttttt, I felt like it fit her character. Revenge was the thing in her mind and she wanted to do it herself. If she let someone else do it for her, I felt like it would stray away from who her character is. <<less

Since everyone said everything the I will just say something. I personally don't like smut. Cause most smuts with such small amount of chapters tends to be utter bullsh*t of a story and more of a p*rn. So I didn't expect much. Even when reading I didn't like the MC very much at first. I haven't read many novels with mature protagonist. The MC is 26 and ML is up 30. So both are very mature. They are not virg*n. They are very much involved into a dark adult world.... more>> Anyway I was not very comfortable with such a MC and ml. And the story seemed very normal to me at first that I considered giving up since I don't like reading s*x scenes very much if I don't have much feeling about the characters. If I like the characters I like their interaction. Anyway but I stuck with the story. YOU KNOW WHAT I GOT? I GOT A GREAT STORY WITH GREAT PLOT AND CHARACTERS. I didn't think I would love it so much and it definitely ain't for the s*x scenes. I just love the MC and mls relationship and chemistry. As I read the story I got to know why they are the way they are. Specially the MC.

I specifically misunderstood the MC. At first she seemed like a loose woman even though it was for her work she didn't seem to protest much against her boss's harassment. I thought she didn't value herself enough to take this short of humiliation without doing anything. But as I knew about her past I got to understand why she is the way she is. The ML was so great to her. At first it gave the impression that he is a lustful man who only lusted after the MC. But I also got to understand him as I read more. Basically none is as it seems. But yeah ML is very much smitten with her. He gets aroused with everything she does lol. But he loves her very much. I love this couple

Oh my God. OH MY GOSH.

ONE OF THE HOTTEST READ I'VE EVER READ. THIS MADE ME HOLD MY BREATH FOR THE WHOLE DURATION OF THE NOVEL.

Both of the leads are so smexy. Their tension and compatibility is so far off the roof. I swear, they got to be one of the sexiest and thrillest couples. I really love how obsessive ML is. And how FL is also strong. Both of them are just so good together. AND THEIR LOVEMAKING, OMG.

I had bookmarked it 2 months ago....I wanted to binge it (so many novels nd webtoon don’t get finished) . I was surprised it completed so fast. And I read the whole thing in 2 days.

The story has good pace and both leads has strong personalities.

It's a sharp departure from the type of novels I usually read lately (mostly in the rofan genre), but that's not a bad thing because it was fun. I wasn't left with any questions either.

One thing that irks me a bit is the amount of mess ups the leads had in their plans because both are insufferably stubborn with their way to do things.

I'm totally aware that's the way this plot has an excuse for dangerous detours, so I guess I can let sleeping dogs lie. Their banter was good... more>> though, as the balance between good smut and the action scenes.

I disagree with another review, however, about the mc's tendency for bad results when her emotions surge or get exploited, it's not s*upidity nor is unrealistic.

It doesn't take much braincells/empathy to realize how a person existing only for revenge, throughly indoctrinated to act a certain way and obviously traumatized is bound to explode regardless of how much intelligence is at their disposal.

Especially if it's the origin of everything that's causing it who's the spark for the surge.

Comments like these remind me over and over again how people don't even try to understand or think before running their mouths carelessly about other people's matters. At least I'm glad that this is a character and not a real person.

Anyhow... the emotions and passion are super raw on this novel. It makes me wonder how the author managed to portray this so well.

The scene after she's told the truth about her tragedy is amazing, I'm aware that for some it may seem too much or exaggerated.

But her reaction gave me flashbacks, it was eerily similar in many aspects to something I experienced.

I guess it takes someone like me or with high empathy to know that it's not unrealistic or unreasonable to react like the MC when faced with that sheer amount of emotional turmoil.

In terms of the romance aspect of this, the passion and desperation to fill their own void leaks like a broken faucet from each sentence. That explains the amount of possessiveness both of them show.

It's not just him, it's just most people are used to see his actions of possessiveness (yandereish, yes) than her way, that's more subtle.

Which brings me to think about the title of this novel. If you translate it, it makes one wonder what the double way/meaning/etc relates to here.

Although this novel for some may feel like a cheap asian mafia movie mixed with good smut, in my opinion, it's possible to look a bit further/deeper, if desired.

For sure it's not perfect but this novel deserves a high score nonetheless. So I will give it to balance the low stars that others put.

The translation I read was good, smut especially needs a proper translator to flow well and reach its purpose.

The art goes well with the content.

TLDR: It's action-packed and full of VERY well written s*x. Definitely worth a read. <<less

WHAT A GEM.

This is the first straight romance I’ve read in a while after a year of diving into BLs, and wow, this did not disappoint. The smut is absolutely insane. Korean authors really know how to write the filthiest, hottest scenes. I was reading this at work and could not keep a straight face. I’d love to get isekai’d into this story and take the FMC’s place because she is the luckiest b*tch in the world. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 10/10.

also, the translation is chef’s kiss.

This was my first Korean smut novel and it left a lasting impression on me because of the two main characters—KyungHyun and Eunha, their developing romantic relationship, and the SPICE. While I didn't particularly care for the revenge aspect of the story, it did help provide further context/background and clarity on the characters' motivations and pasts. I was just more invested in the romantic aspect of their relationship, which the author did an amazing job with!

KyungHyun was such an interesting character because he was so intense and forward with Eunha.... more>> He knew who he wanted and went after her with so much determination and finesse. The s*xual tension and chemistry between them blew me away. I liked that he fell for Eunha first and was super possessive of her. The man had s*x on his brain 24/7 and even the thought of her aroused him LOL. The smut was so sexy and memorable for me, especially their first time together. I really enjoyed Eunha's character because she was so focused on revenge that it almost broke her when she found out the truth. Her loneliness and determination eventually led her back to Kyunghyun, who she had a past with. In the end, it was his love and obsession that captured her heart.

Overall, I highly recommend this story for those who are looking for a sexy and action-packed mafia (?) romance. You won't be disappointed by the character development and story—even if the later half did suffer a little due to Eunha's determination to end it all. I still enjoyed this novel immensely. <<less

It is everything that you would expect of a mobster book, but nothing of what you would expect of the plot.

So hot, so toxic, yet so on point for what it seems the other wanted to bring out of these characters. I could not have pictured any other way how everything would go down for the two of them.

This is a long overdue review for one of my favorite works from my #1 KR author and my #1 KR translator!

- Translation: 10000/10. All the translations from this translator are true masterpieces and this one is no exception. It was beautifully translated, vividly detailed and soundly fluid. A huge THANK YOU to my favorite translator of all time!

- Plot: 10/10. Intense plot progression filled with violence and trauma AND constant scenes of hot snu snu contributed by a highly sexually-driven, obsessive ML and a cunning, smart FL.

-... more>> Conclusion: A solid 10! It is a perfect combination of climactic thriller, obsessive romance and melting hot smut. And these elements are the reasons why Kimpa’s works have always been my favorites 😏 <<less

An alright. About 4/5?

It really bothers me how the author seems dont want their characters to be so bad. This also happened in the other story with same author. The author created this dark eleborate settings but not truly embracing that plot. It always has a way out. Always making something less of the bad but it doesn't change that they are still a criminal.

Its the same with the ml, not saying he is a bad person but generally he also wasn't an upright person. Which I really find ridiculous,... more>> he just changed his job but still the same as he was before. He become less criminal and more accepting to like the ML but not a character development. What was worst is, it was obvious that author wants the readers to know that this person has a reason and was excusable to be a criminal.

it was a criminal world but somehow FL didn't sleep with that ahjussi or didn't do the deed with him. FL even said there's dry humping bu the ahjussi didn't do it or didn't put it in? Like that's very unlikely specially in a crime world.

And another thing how can that ahjussi easily killed the parents of the fl? Her father is the right hand man of their boss, he followed by their members. And the one supposedly to be the next boss but somehow was easily killed by that ahjussi with what? 3 people?

Dropped it in about chapter 8. And before that I skip the smut, idk it become dull to me or I have no patience to a long foreplay, I was like just put that thing alrdy! He didn't put it the whole chap and he did on the next part.
