It's been a while since I last read it, but I was pretty much close to finishing it and decided to drop it.

It is a good story to read and it had great potential, but after the main pair got together the novel started to get... a little boring?

The story starts to lose it's appeal, "there isn't much to see" anymore.

If you get attached to the characters (they are great, and I like the side characters a lot too) then maybe it won't affect you as much,... more>> but for me it was like the story ended before I reached the final chapter - there is no desire to know what is happening anymore. "They are together, sure they will sort everything out! Lets see what else is there to read"

I recommend the novel and I think you will have a good time reading it, the first chapters are really fun!! Just don't expect a masterpiece or something completely outside of the box.

I also just wanted to say I wouldn't say this is s*umbag Villain 2.0 at all. It might share some similarities if you look for it, but this novel has it's own appeal to it in my view point. <<less

Good novel in terms of transmigration. Some parts are kind of cliche and Chu Yu's love for Xie Xi is a bit too sudden. The plot is good and exciting. I see some shadows of other danmei in it sometimes, but overall it is original.

One of the best Shixiong/Shidi bl pair, which is quite common in c-novels, but ppl inevitably only have SVSSS as reference. It does start off like SVSSS, with a similar premise, but this is way more romantic, coherent and fluffy than SVSSS. I did not like SVSSS with it's messy plot, incoherent characters and lack of romance. This one is everything I hoped SVSSS would have been.

First of all, if people worried if this going to be like SVSSS, I'm going say NO! Both SVSSS and this Novel are Great! But they are totally different!!

Both the MC and ML are great characters! They grow on you!

The ML might be Possessive and Yandere, but he NEVER hurt the MC Except when (with reasonable reasons!!!) ... more>>
Spoiler

at the very beginning because ML still unsure why MC act different. And when ML had Qi Deviation aka situation when he can attack EVERYONE/EVERYTHING!

[collapse]

And The Supportive Side Characters all are GREAT!!!
Spoiler

and 3 side CPs on the near ending and extras with satisfying reasonable happy ending result! At least I love it!

[collapse]

The plots are great! But I personally enjoyed the uncensored non explicit Intimacy moments between the Couple! It described very well! Enough to make me VERY happy after being sad with all Chinese BL Novel that always get censored or the lack of explanation of what they did and feel when the character have s*x.

I Love this Novel VERY MUCH!!! <<less

The story is well written. But there is to much hole that author leave in the story, like ML Father/Mother, the another immortal world, and demon god that not killed and only get sealed... I think if the author make another book for this story, it will become really good... Because there is a lot of promising material that can be use if author want to make a new book...

Going back to give review, I've been into many world hopping now it's nice to read a story with only on world -with MC being tranmigrated anywayss

So at the start MC needs to be extra carful around ML because of His character's villain past hahahha MC gotta have new ideas on making the ML mellow. It's a nice story and the couple got their happy ending

I enjoyed reading this story. It may seem a little bit like SVSSS, but I don’t mind it bc I really loved that story too. Cute scenes, character development, lovely side characters. I don’t really understand other people when they say ML falls too fast for the MC. Yeah, after some misunderstandings are cleared, he starts to care about him, but not in that way. In the first part he is just a 13 yo boy who seeks affection and starts idolizing the first person who gives them that.. When... more>> he starts showing that kind of feelings he is already 16 yo. So I find that in 3 years the ML had enough time to start developing feelings. Anyway I really enjoyed their cute interactions when they are both adults. I liked all the fish puns too. Overall this is a beautiful written love story, with action and no big misunderstandings like in SVSSS. I like that the ML although it’s kinda obsessed with the MC and always tries to woo him, he’s not a creep who r*pes his beloved. <<less

The way the ML fell for the MC was really fast, and the way he showed it to the MC was plain weird. I felt second hand cringe while reading the so called things done by the ML all in the name of 'love'. And the way the novel starts and the way the MC is portrayed is exactly like SVSSS. I really feel this is a rip off of s*um villan along with some cringey love added to the mix and with none of the awesome plot line and... more>> characters. <<less

This... is a rip-off version of s*um Villain. Honestly, my three stars are probably for the translation and the shizun.

Basically, we have MC suddenly being nice to ML, and ML starts falling in love with MC. Three years later (a very sudden timeskip in the middle of a chapter), ML's having inappropriate thoughts about MC, and MC's clueless. He realises this and is then trapped in a place. Another sudden timeskip of TEN years. That's thirteen years within, I dunno, 30 chapters.

Suddenly, the ML forces to confess despite there being... more>> literally no signs of required love. Oh well. But that's less than halfway through the book. Meanwhile, there's been barely any plot, and we're thrown three consecutive CPs for no reason. And they all have to be gay. I get it: BL. But there's been zero 3D — who am I kidding, all the characters are 2D except from shizun, and that's IMPLIED — female characters, and I'm getting sick of it.

All in all, bcnovels is great, but I can't continue. Too many timeskips, too rushed a romance, and too delayed a plot. <<less

I reckon this is better than TVSSS. It had more depth and MC was more aware and faced his feelings for ML early on. ML here, although extremely possesive, was more mature than TVSSS's. Also, the comedy is gold.

Don't let the negative reviews discourage you from reading this. You be the judge if this book is good or not.

The s*um Villain's Self-Saving System, but shallow and not nearly as funny. Everything from the characters to the plot is inferior.

Well, I think it was an okay read.

It started out fine, but somewhere middlethrough it kind of bored me out? I don't know, if it wasn't for my resolve not to drop anything, unless it's really impossible to read, I would've probably dropped it. But then, it became interesting at a certain point for me and I could finally start to enjoy it.

That's what left me with mixed feelings towards this novel.

Although I don't think that the author tried to copy SVSSS, I felt a similarity between these two. But... more>> ohwell, such themes are quite common, huh?

All in all, the story was cute in my opinion, and I could say I liked it, although it most probably wouldn't make it on my favourites-list. <<less

I enjoyed it! The MC is likeable, because he's not useless, but also not too overpowered and pretty brave. The ML is a little much on the yandere rating, but the MC can more or less balance it out in the end. It's a mostly quite fluffy novel, the plot is a little superficial hand waving, but the characters all have potential. It ended with some things still up in the air, but overall it felt complete for the main couple.

If you like s*um Villain Self Saving System, this one... more>> is pretty similar, but also a little more straightforward (there are no OOC restrictions, so MC is all in from the start) and a little less gory. <<less

There were many bad reviews and I thought that I wouldn't want to waste my time reading a poor writing, surprisingly, it wasn't as bad as people made it to be. Yes, the plot isn't action-packed nor is the novel extremely plot oriented. For a few tens of chapters, it is worth the read. You will finish it just in a few days. The MC is very likable, he isn't OP nor is he extremely annoying, I find reading him very enjoyable~

The ML is like a baby lol. I... more>> find him very endearing.

If you came for the plot, then it will surely be a disappointment, however, if you just want a light novel to read, you surely will like this~ I didn't expect to enjoy the novel where I would be giving it a four stars. Also, the translator did an amazing job!!!! Definitely would recommend it as a light reading!!!! <<less

This was so good, with massive world building that all fit together. Love. With a good dose of bearable angst.

This novel has a very similar storyline to many other BL novels:

The main character criticizes a "stallion novel" (a genre characterized by an OP male protagonist + girl harem), and is suddenly transported into the book as the cannon-fodder antagonist destined to be killed by the main character. Under the guidance/coercion of a computer-like system, he strives to make a good impression on the protagonist in order to survive. However, the protagonist ends up falling in love with him and becomes overly possessive.

Though the translation quality of this story is... more>> good and there are no major flaws, it fails to stand out from the pack.

This novel has some world-building, some action, some fluff, some comedy, some emotional scenes, and some character development, but no area stands out in particular. If you mention one good quality of this novel, it will still lose to the same quality in one of its BL novel competitors. Even the "steamy" scenes are less detailed or hot than those I've seen elsewhere.

Basically, this novel isn't bad, and overall I'd say it's actually pretty good. It just doesn't have a unique character, quality, or aspect to stand out from the crowd to make you truly attached to it. <<less

I LOVED THIS!!!❤️

I've reread this a thousands times, lmao. It reminds me a lot of svsss while still being some what unique in its own way. It's a light novel, and their relationship is so darn cute.

[Male Lead]——ML is a green flag. He does get paranoid and possessive in later chaps but never goes overboard with MC's boundaries or words/comfort?. He's similar to LBH but a lot more restraint and more honest. (from what I remember.)

[MC]—— While MC is a lot like SQQ but a lot more carefree (if... more>> that's the word.) He's kind and understanding towards ML and doesn't hesitate to save him. Though, still embarrassed/nervous, insures to indulge in ML clingyness.

The side characters were also enjoyable and funny despite not as much mentions.

I would ignore 80% of the comments if you're a fan of svsss or just into a similar troupe, and would recommend giving it a shot. It's somewhat a slow burn but in my opinion, it was worth it!!

(Sorry for my bad description. I'm writing this from memory and don't write reviews often...) <<less

Well, I guess the title and description of the novel say it all. MC transmigrated into the book as a villainous cannon fodder who has a tragic end in the book. To avoid a horrible future, he decided to hug the protagonist's thigh. In his mind, everything went well, and he became a reliable and caring older disciple for ML, but because of his kindness and indulgence, ML, who was abandoned and never received human warmth before, fell in love with him.

The story itself isn't bad; it's just that the... more>> author hops from one problem to another really fast. You have a feeling that this problem is huge and the big boss will make his appearance, but everything is resolved quickly. They built tension, but you never received a big villain who would trouble MC and ML. The biggest troublemaker is MC, who manages to end up locked up in different dimensions and drives ML crazy. Sometimes the author doesn't tell the story to the end, which is a bit irritating.
Spoiler

(For example, what happened to Fu Lanxue, what about Shizuns and Shen Nians past, and what about Fu Chongyi and his hand. The author starts telling the story but emits details and never finishes it.

[collapse]
Despite this, I still liked the story because of the characters and their interactions. Characters are well-rounded, their actions make sense, and they are cute. The MC and ML relationship at first seems superficial, mostly because MC can't figure out his feelings and he is sure that he is straight, but at the end, they both fell in love with each other, and the relationship is cute and sweet. ML is a bit manipulative, but MC isn't that naive and can see through his act, but he loves him too much and spoils him.

At first, MC seemed a bit silly; he allowed ML and his brother to make decisions for him. It looked like he was just going with the flow, and he has no backbone. But then, when I learned about his real life and family condition, it made sense. MC is a bit clueless in my mind, but because the novel has a comedic undertone, his silly actions are amusing and cute. ML is a bit paranoid and cruel, but all this can be blamed on his parents, Shizun, and the main culprit would be, of course, MC; he misjudges ML's feelings. I loved both MC and ML, as well as the side characters.

This novel resembles a bit of The s*um Villain’s Self-Saving System, but they are completely different from each other. This one is more comedic, and character traits are a bit exaggerated to make it more fun. This story is light reading and fun to read. The story is interesting; it has flaws but is still enjoyable to read. <<less
