In the first timeline, he remained by her side while she married someone else. Even took credit for the accidental homicide of the MC's sister and unborn child (or as accidental as it can be to attack someone with a knife and then fall on them with said knife).

MC is a spoiled princess and acts like it so she's a bit deranged. Her actions are not cute and loveable but it's okay because the ML loves it.

ML is so obsessed with the MC that he doesn't see anyone else. At all.

The Sister thinks the MC has been stealing everything from her because her mother raised her with the lie that the MC's mother was the reason the sister's mom and dad didn't have a happy life.

The MC's father has a super inflated sense of self. He's delighted that the MC's half-sister practically worships him but feels irritated that his wife won't help raise his illegitimate child. He even views himself as the CEO of the company his wife runs because of course.

The Male Antagonist is delusional and loves having women run around him. He feels like this makes him better than everyone else because the women just want him and no one else. While he never intended for the MC to fall for him, he is positively delighted by it because the more she chases him, the more it bothers the ML and he hates the ML. Cause of inferiority reasons.

Even the ML's business partner is nuts. He has been hiring pretty secretaries with the purpose of having them seduce the ML. Unfortunately, the ML doesn't give them a second glance so this guy is borderline sexually harassing his staff.

The villianous ex-boyfriend just stopped bothering the MC after a failed proposal and the step-sister gave up after having wine poured all over her?

she straight up mu*dered her sister and an unborn child. and later, in the story's timeline, didn't do anything when she saw her sister move in with a despicable human being who was arrested for abucting a child.

The illegitimate sister could have gotten together with CH if this was just another cliche novel but she instead chose goodbye. Even Lin Fei (who CH would marry only for benefits) decided to pursue CH (knowing very well that this man was as bad as men can be) because she loved him truly despite being sh*t to her love rivals.

She even admits she is selfish later on in the novel. She will do anything to get what she wants and isn’t afraid to speak her mind which I like about her.

There is a point in the novel where the ML questions if he should give the FL up. Even though he desperately doesn’t want to, he doesn’t want to suffer anymore.
