This novel is plagued with spelling and simple grammatical mistakes so I took away 1 star for that but it's an enjoyable read with fast releases, thus the high reviews. Our MC has been reborn with his knowledge of the business world and the world wide economy. He would invest in whatever would makes money in year 19XX and gradually get richer and richer. The way he gains money and does business are explained more in-depth than some comparable novels out there.

Was interesting until chapter 58.

It's not a fantasy story. It's a slice of life that describes the life of a man that returns back in time in a modern city theme.

It's not what I usually read as I don't like those novels that take place in the real modern world.

Honestly, this book was very interesting at start, but became very nationalized and racist.

As many stated previously, the romantic sub-plot is tr*sh, the economical knowledge is a mess, and he only wants to increase his own country's budget and international rating.

I am not sure if the author is a brainwashed person by the communist party, or he just wants to get some more money from the country for making the country greater in another timeline while helping that version of China.....

This novel definitely has its fault but it's still enjoyable. He works with Japanese for profit like a true businessman. Although his bending for CCP is annoying, can't help it. The author of this novel is of the older generation and you know how they are

The novel is enjoyable, and the MC is seriously hard working and has almost no real power, and so he resorts to business and connections. What impressed me was the translator/editor grasp on historical events as they explain them briefly at the end of every chapter, kudos to them.

The story is average, just the right amount to pique your interest. If you like reading about the economy and history I guess you might like it but if you are not... well tough luck. for me, this novel is sometimes interesting and sometimes not. The story is imbalance (?) there is a lack of relief, its a bland, too many built up and no climax.

This novel is well written and exciting. I could compare it to Very Pure and Ambiguous: The Prequel but I think this novel is better. Novel sticks to one theme and does not degenerate to one where the MC becomes almighty. The only drawback is that it neglects the development of support character making the story come out bit a bit shallow. The translation quality is good but the editing should be improved. All in all, its good binge read material

This novel is what will happen if IRAS set in business world and IRAS' Zhang Ye's face smacking tendency replace with Feng Yu's money spending penchance.

Started off really great but after a while I couldn't help but become a bit disgusted by the greed and certain racist elements. I think it's like a requirement for certain novels to have things to raise China up while bring other countries down and some of them really do it horribly. Sucks because I really did like the premise.

In order to read any stories, the reader must suspend their belief in order to appreciate the storytelling. If you understand economics and finance this is not for you. The author has a very basic understanding of market finance and world economy. Am dropping this because he keeps ignoring rules and regulations regarding border customs, stock pricing, monetary policies and sovereignty.

I really like the whole concept of this novel but the characters like mc's father and bestfriend is just like a dumb, example of it is like, when the MC will invest at a large money, his father will scold him, calling him good-for-nothing-son, I mean, 100% of the investments and works are done by the MC. the novel is bad, so much nationalism, racism towards foreigners especially to japan, he just use the japanese as a s*x toy manufacturer, even requiring the japan's emperor to personally apologize to china, also mc's view towards them are like tr*shes. So much racism towards others are not healthy, maybe the author are dumb and acting like a spoiled brat that was bullied. He also wrote about the pollution of japan's factories in their country, whereas chinese factories do the same to other countries in reality.

He promotes nationalism but forgot how his fellow chinese do in his novel like their Chinese officials can be bribe, showing how corrupt their country are. There are also thieves in their supermarket, gangs that collects money from businessmen, unlicensed doctor that selling expired medicines, and rampant pr*stitution in their area that when their police crackdown happened, so much money was taken from this dark businesses. Also, about the business of MC, there are so much loopholes, MC is not a genuis. He wants to be in control, such as giving conditions to others businessman that if you are in the latter POV, you are in disadvantage situation. Author really didn't research how business works, its just like how a kid selling his lollipop to other kids.

I saw in this novel that someone call chinese as Yellow monkeys. There are also for other countries but I forgot, kinda funny but not a healthy novel for me. <<less

Envoking emotional response from readers is non-existent. The main focus of this story is how the MC manipulates the market and nothing much else BUT it was done well. I don't mind that the actual plot is simple because the execution was done well. Many typo error from translator but it's ok since there were quite a lot of technical concepts to translate which must have been quite taxing.

Personally I like this story, I learn a lot regarding the china's economy history. The plot of this story 10% is real and 90% is fiction. All the rebirth story will change the history in their era, don't be grumpy. My favorite character in this story not Feng Yu, but Mayor Zhang Zhiqiang.

First of all, I saw few Review on Grammatical mistakes which I most probably think is because of Author not using the real name of company and brands. So Translator must have left it as that, but few smartass here point it out to be Grammatical Mistakes. Hats off to them.

I really enjoy reading this novel, it's unlike anything else. The main character is very smart and uses his knowledge whenever he has an opportunity. However, I feel that he has his hands in too many businesses and is a bit too much of a show-off...

This novel doesn't have an active or exciting plot with fights or magic, but I never get bored reading. The business world is described realistically and doesn't repeat itself (not like, for example, I am really a superstar, where every ark is similar to each... more>> other).

One thing I dislike though is that it will be a harem novel - I generally don't like those but it's bearable. For now the MC has only one girl. Another annoying thing is that side characters are almost all very greedy. But, I guess they have to be such so that the MC doesn't relax.

Speaking of supporting characters - there are many of them but they are introduced gradually so it's nit hard to remember and usually their interactions with MC are not one time only. The characters appear throughout the story so far. However, they don't have much development and are kind of one-dimentional.

In conclusion, it's an interesting realistic novel describing business world and finance market workings without being boring, has competent MC and a non-regurgitated plot.

I really have the hard time wallowing all those nationalistic chapters. The author makes it up to be as though Japan is just a bunch of arrogant and quite s*upid businessmen intent on getting petty revenge and ruling China through their 'not up to par' products. I really hate Chinese (amd sometimes Korean) novels for this very reason - dissing other countries as though they personally offended them.
