This novel is pure fluff. The CP will make you miserable with how single you are. Even though Fight the Landlord is adapted from Golden Stage, the concept is different while still maintaining the same issues with less drama. The CP's relationship is a mature one. A very wholesome and fluffy novel. Not much angst, wich was great! The couple is perfect together and their love is natural, steady and unproblematic. I love to read about more mature characters!

The novel was written by the same author who wrote Golden Stage, you should check that out too! Thanks to the translators, they did an amazing job.

Although short, it is a sweet and adorable story, I feel calm and fulfilled after reading it. The characters are interesting and likeable. The pace if the story is good, plot mainly focuses on the development of their relationship, though although it says it's a gaming novel I wouldn't class it as that. Still I enjoyed it.

An unexpected surprise. I put this off for a while thinking that it was another gaming novel, but lo and behold it was not. Well worth a read and the translation was amazingly good. An easy five star in my opinion both for the story and the translation. If you're looking for a short story to fill your day, please do not hesitate to pick this up, it'll be well worth your time ❤️

Mature ML and MC when it comes to communicating and reconciling but childishly cute together. They're fun and act childish in trivial matters but know that when things get bad, they have each other's back.

Realistic reaction to certain events and you'll feel giddy along with the cp while they feed you dog food.

It's a great novel. ML is a bit too perfect for me but it's a lot better than brainless revenge novels out there.

Pure fluff!

It was cute, healthy, adorable and heartwarming. The first half was a bit slow, I actually was thinking of not continuing it but I'M SO GLAD I DID!

The MC and ML are full time lovebirds! There isn't much drama but I enjoyed their journey to falling in love.

One thing Sun Zinan really appreciated about Tang Kai was that he wasn't proactive about deciding things on his behalf. He never forced others to agree with him.

Although he didn't seem like it, sun Zinan was the type of person who willingly let others make choices for him. Once someone surpassed the walls of defense he had put up and became 'one of us, ' his tolerance of the other person would reach nearly unconditional indulgence.

It was said that what's easily obtained is often not treasured, but feelings are fragile, priceless goods that cannot be squandered nor sold as consumable products. It was precisely because Sun Zinan had given him his full respect and freedom to do whatever that Tang Kai needed to keep to his boundaries even more.

One of the drawbacks is its shortness. Not enough time to flesh out characters. The flow of the story seemed abrupt to me in quite a few places. The characters are good. In fact it was a fun change to not read about a cold ML and instead read about a ML who is cool yet childish. For some reason with this story, I felt like the author had added a lot of cliché tropes. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t enjoy it either. Maybe it is unfair to compare such short work but still the subconscious comparison with golden stage didn’t help matters even more! <<less

Sun Zinan x Tang Kai - A quasi enemy to lovers, not really enemies they just have a misunderstanding in the beginning. It fun, sweet with mature characters who fall in love. The plot is simple but the plot device was clever. The plot twist felt a little unnecessary, but I could understand why the author used it. A HE.

At first I didn't realize this wasn't a tenant x landlord couple LOL, but I wanted a shorter, simple lighthearted novel and this was exactly that. I heard there was a lot of fluff, but it was so well woven and constructed that it didn't feel over the top. There were drama-filled misunderstandings, plenty of banter, traumatic backstories, and also sickeningly sweet confessions. Idk if it's just me but I feel like the author didn't really know what else to add aside from family conflict, so they added the misunderstanding between them. Maybe it was executed too forced cuz its surprising the characters acted that way after the "ex" appeared" (she claims she is an ex of the ML but the ML see's MC and her chatting tgt and gets jelly) I regard them as a mature couple because they talk but hello? Where did it go after "ex" appeared.

This was such a fun novel to read! It's a great stress reliever, especially since it's not very long - it's great to read when you have something else going on in your life.

This review might be a bit biased because I really did enjoy this novel. Since this is a character-driven novel, the plot wasn't very complex, but it was intriguing enough, and the characters were the real gems.

Sun Zinan and Tang Kai start of on the wrong foot but they're both accomplished people with clear goals, so when... more>> they're set up for a date in order to get married, they're both blunt about their thoughts. From then onwards, agaisnt their first impression, they start slowly falling for each other, and it happens slowly but violently, with each falling for the other harder than they ever expected. Tang Kai, the stoic, cold professor and researcher, who can only truly be himself with Zinan, his heart filling with affection everytime they're together; and Sun Zinan, who finds happiness with Tang Kai, who finds him endearing and cute, and who would rather stay with him over anything else. How the turntables.

However, it does have its flaws. Since it's only 40+1 chapters (and short chapters at that), there are a few underdeveloped themes and characters. For one, Xie Zhuo, Sun Zinan's old friend, who makes an appearance when its convenient to do so and then just disappears : (. And then there's the Tang family, mentioned all along, Tang Kai even promising Zinan to meet his parents, but they never "physically" appear - and much like Xie Zhuo, they're there to move the plot forward, not exactly to be developed. It's not wrong, by all means, but I wish it was done better, so as to not feel so incomplete or "orchestrated". Regarding Sun's family, I understand the author not digging deeper, it was a complex problem that would have made the book become twice as big as it was, or even more, and the author would have to change the focus from the main couple to Sun's family for a long part of it - which would change the course of the book which heavily focuses on the main couple.

Overall, I really reccommend this novel for everyone looking for an enjoyable read, with likeable characters and not-headache-inducing plot. It-s something to simply enjoy and not think too much about, but it's a wonderful read, I'll definitely re-read it in the future <3 <<less

This was a lovely read. I was apprehensive at first because I rarely read short ones (and still actually wish this didn't end lol) and the summary wasn't really doing anything for me. But the reviews and rating made me give it a shot and I'm glad I did.

I was drawn in by the stellar reviews. The beginning of the story was interesting with the banter between the 2 main characters then the story kinda got lost on mr.

Then you have the family/work drama. That was too much for a 40 chapter story. I think it would've been better to pick one drama plot point that to have 3 or 4.

Also very random but I hated that assistant. I'm sorry but you're telling me someone is such a coward they'd risk the company they work for by not telling their boss a VERY important secret they overheard???? Something that can cause the company to go belly up??? Yea I'm not buying it, that was such a ridiculous character decision.
