Fortune Telling, a mysterious technique, can also be said dangerous because it can change the catastrophe and make it auspicious…

Teacher: Don’t give me these useless papers to me, have you finished answering your test paper?
Lin Qingyin took out a tortoiseshell: Teacher, can I use divination to get the answer?

Lin Qingyin, the master of fortune-telling, didn’t succeed in the Thunder Tribulation when she tried to ascend. When she woke up again, she became a high school student. Lin Qingyin, who was not afraid of Thunder Tribulation, looked at the thick test paper in front of her and shivered. Only a thousand years had passed, how could the world become so scary!

I enjoyed this novel till MC high school arc.

Later her college arc is boring because there is no fatty Wang and park's aunts and uncles.

MC is cute but not an idiot. Her relationship with her parents especially with her mom is funny too.

... more>> On romance I never thought him to be ML despite him to be always there as fatty Wang has more pen time than him

I hoped more romance at the end maybe their wedding and honeymoon and aunt and uncles reaction.

But I do enjoy no romance part at start as most novels forget actual story but focus on romance with MC dependent on ml. But here MC never needed ml. <<less

Hilarious story. It's good but I believe in Science not Superstition so 4/5.

Basically I took 1 point off for how heavily divination and the like are pushed. If you treat it like a modern fantasy (for example Harry Potter) and don't take it's lessons into real life it's a good read.

4.3 / 5 stars for me.

It's a light and funny story without stress or bad situations for FL.

The FL is so OP, nobody can hurt her (except English exam haha). So the story run as "protect the goods, eliminate the bad" plot.

Lots of funny character and scenes, cute friends and families.

I quite don't like the love story at the end, I think it quite out of place and just be there to finish the novel, so not my type of romance.

The novel was enjoyable, but got boring after she got into college, so I dropped around chapter 124.

Very interesting. FL's fortune telling adventures has been an exciting read and I personally think she has a fun personality. She is certainly good at setting up the situation so people to do what she wants.

It's a fun read and I had a good time while reading it.

The arcs were well written and kept me at the edge of my seat, and the MC is very likeable.

There's minimal romance in this story, and while I liked the ML, I didn't like him towards the end of the story. The romance aspect itself felt too rushed and (I'm sorry but) half-assed that I did not enjoy.

The ending was weird too, it came out of nowhere and to be honest adds nothing to the story in my... more>> opinion. <<less

Drawn in by the amusing summary.

I just finished the story on the translation site and had read the source. Good translation.

Novel was a lighthearted read without any heavy story elements. I giggled unexpectedly at some of the unexpected interactions especially conversations between FL and Fatty Wang.

... more>> Writing was fluid, story well paced with good story transitions between the MC's fortune telling sessions.

It was like a detective story, solving mystery using occult skills without being overly predictable. Really enjoyed it.

Characters were average, not complicated but felt real. Characters' actions matched their motivations. Villains were 2-dimensional but they add to the quirk.

Okay world building given genre. <<less

Was it an awe-inspiring, thought-provoking novel? No.

Was it full of twist and turns always keeping the readers on their toes? No.

But did I enjoyed the hell out of this nonetheless? Absolutely.

... more>> I was literally s**ked into the storyline. It felt like I was there with MC, Lin Qingyin's fortune-telling adventure, encountering all types of human affairs.

Be forewarned. MC is extremely OP. Her only priority in life is food and fortune-telling. Though she has barely any EQ or emotional entanglements, she is not emotionless. Instead we see her more and more as humane as the story progresses. And even if she's OP, she has her own bane of existence lol🤭🤭🤭

The humorous elements were the best parts of this novel. There were so many wth moments. I enjoyed it immensely. Especially Fatty Wang was the best!

However, the romance is barely there at the end. So don't expect too much. Jiang Wei, as the ML, barely has the presence of the male lead except for the last arc.

The various cases, supernatural or not, that Lin Qingyin solved were definitely one of the attractions!

Anyway, great bingeworthy novel. Though I doubt I'll reread it anytime soon, I am still looking out for similar novels to this one! <<less

The beginning was fun with a very Strong FL and some interesting stories but after some times it became a bit boring and too much fantasy. I mean at first it was about fortune telling but at the end it was about evil spirit, spirits and apprentices.

Very little romance and the ML is not that interesting. He is very submissive with the FL and until the end its hard to see them as a couple.

I give this story a 4.5. It gets kind of repetitive 4/5 in but it is a slice of life comedy with an emphasis on divinition. Though I wish there were more good "cultivators". Ending is a bit rough since it happens suddenly but the after stories smoothe it out. Thankfully author is sensible to end the story and not continue writing 1000+ chapters.

If you're worried about racism because of the 1 star review posted, don't worry about it as much, they are overexaggeratong, making it seem like the author... more>> is like a na*i. I don't know if the author is like a na*i or if the commenter was talking about some other author but the story has little to no racism. I can't remember anything racist, only partly nationalistic. Though thats because its set in China and well Divination and Cultivation is an Eastern Fantasy thing.

The MC is extremely kind to a fault. She would not mind performing divination and helping out foreigners if it wasn't for her PTSD with learning English. If anything, the author acknowledges that the western world is strong because English is an important subject in the schools and colleges. The only remotely racist thing is when MC has to perform face-reading on a foreigner. Please keep in mind it is not racism but a fact that asians and caucasians have different facial structures and thus her divination ability is more limited when it comes to foreigners. That said, she doesn't even turn down the other foreigners who show up since she is skilled enough to do it regardless. MC is just frustrated because she might mess up when performing divination for them and she's a perfectionist and doesn't want to give wrong readings.

For a Chinese author I'm pleasantly surprised they didn't spout more nationalistic BS but instead made solid reasons as to why she is frustrated when dealing with foreigners but still helps them with their problems. The author also didn't sabotage other countries to make China look better. In fact there are no politics in this story. Governments are not even mentioned, they just exist. <<less

Never been on my reading list, suddenly appear as a Completed Translated Novel, and the summary hooked me. The tags themselves weren't bad either. So I clicked it immediately.

And it Did NOT disappoint me!!!

Sure the MC is OP, but the Author definitely know how to make the story keep Intriguing and Interesting. Many Problems Solved by our MC. But all those little short cases were either give us Fantastic Faceslapping or Heartwarming Feels OR Emotional.

It's Definitely NOT a Romance novel! Don't read if you look for the Romance!!! Though it... more>> Did gave us the little romance right near the end. Literally just few chapters near the end. Though we can guess who the ML was since around the last 20ish chapter. The author did a very well done setting for the possible romance. So it's neither rush or out of nowhere nor lacking.

Sure it's Not Perfect, but it was still well written!

So it the main story of Fortune Telling, not Perfect, and yet an Absolutely Amazing Very Well Done Story!

Enjoyable All Supporting Characters and all.

The Author did Awesome, and the Translator did Fantastically!

I'm Truly Loving it Forever to the Moon and BEYOND!!! <<less

This is probably the most enjoyable novel of this specific genre. (Fortune telling etc). The MC is lazy, down to earth, and likeable. My only complaints are some of the arcs are rinse repeat / predictable, some weird chauvanistic/traditional gender role stuff which seems to be in every Chinese novel, and the ending, which was quite rushed. They introduced SO much brand new content in the 30 chapters before the ending and then just... never cashed out on it? It'd be nice if there were more extras. ... more>>
Spoiler

Note: If you're looking for deep and passionate romance, this novel is not going to deliver on that. It's very light and also fluffy. If this romance was omitted the story would be 90% similar to what it is now

[collapse]

I MTL'd it to finish it because I was feeling impatient, but I absolutely recommend the translator. They did a fantastic job and their translation was what got me into this novel in the first place. They also update rather quickly and do a good job explaining bits of Chinese stuff that gets lost in the MTL.

If this was enjoyable for you, Who Moved My Mountain and The Witch are similar in genre/presentation, and are more enjoyable in some ways but worse in others. Greatest Astrologist is also good, it just gets rinse repeat. Genius Diviner is not good because the characters have severe issues and Weibo Page is able to tell Fortunes has creepy ML <<less

Well, don't expect romance as you see in the genres, it's not there. There is romance but it's really more of an afterthought.

Anywho, this is a 100% gem. Strong world building and moralities mixed in the plot, too!

I love the FL! She's transmigrate/ reborn into a high school girl after dying from the thunder tribulations. In the past life, FL just secluded herself in the cave and cultivated by her lonesome self. Now that she's transmigrated she is slowly understanding and enjoying the mortal world.

The novel is quite entertaining as... more>> there are mini-stories when the FL divines for her clients. Some are hilariously funny, others got me postponing to read at night coz were too d*** scary!, while others had me sniffing. Ofc FL's interactions with the people around her also got me chuckling.

This is a really great read! Don't miss out on this even if there's "no" romance. <<less

This novel is good and fits my tastes. I really like OP MCs who have eccentric personalities and this novel is one of those who have a likable OP protagonists. I also like the MC's principles in life, like how she shows appreciation for good people and and how she serves lighting and thunder to the bad people. She values people who are innocent and kind and gives them their deserved treatment and even amulets to save their lives. If the client is poor, she doesn't insist on payment. If... more>> the client is rich, then she doesn't have any trouble accepting millions. In this life, she learned how to sympathize with people and also learned how to be greedy with food. She doesn't let other people bully her and knows not to wrong herself. To her friends and family, she is very generous.

All in all, she is very lovely.

The only thing I didn't like is the abrupt ending. But that's all, so you should read this. <<less

I love this story!!

The plots is interesting and the MC is powerful, but not too OP (maybe only in the fortune-telling part, cultivation, and memorization).

Despite her abilities, she’s still a student who have to struggle through her studies.

Spoiler

She would go as far as use her fortune-telling to get the right answers on her test and not necessarily work it out. She would leave questions blank on her paper.

[collapse]

I especially enjoy her going around and helping people through her fortune-telling.

It is a nice change from other stories where MC is powerful, but there is always something that is slighter stronger and so MC has to train to grow stronger trope.

Sometime, I just want to enjoy a MC who is powerful enough to DO something. Not just train. <<less

She is a jedi. She doesn't use lightsword, or push people with the force, but she's very similar to a jedi. She is calm, never flustered, and always knows what if there is any danger waiting. She deals with her enemies beautifully.

I like that there is basically no romance in the novel. The author wrote in the comments it's on purpose, because his readers don't like those things.

The novel is very refreshing, I could imagine it being made into a TV show. The ending is a little repetitive and boring,... more>> but the author knew to end it when needed.

Fortune telling, eating lots of delicious food, studying in school, fighting evil feng-shui masters. If you like these things, I recommend this novel. <<less

Read this novel!!

Its so good :) This story is based on the new life of Lin Qingyin, a celestial master (or fortune-teller for what she does now) who failed ascension and transmigrated into the body of a girl with the same name.

Its been really fun to see our MC show her knowledge in divinity while helping out others with her problems/fulfilling the last owner's wish.

Its a fluffy and intriguing novel, and I'm so glad I gave it a chance. There's a tinsy bit of romance but it is towards the... more>> very very end but its quite sweet (although I wish we could be seen more.)

You should definitely read this though :) <<less

A light hearted and funny novel

Follow FMC as she goes around solving solving supernatural problems with her skills whiles struggling to finish her school homeworks.

Theres very little 'court death' cliche in this novel.

P.S : Do note that while I wrote lighthearted, this novel has a lot of supernatural cases which some reader may not be comfortable with.
